That is neat and definitely a first. I can hear those motors crying from here. Great job.

[TC6] Blast From the Past [WIP]
Meatman replied to D3K's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is fantastic. -
I think just the gearbox system and chassis in this model are innovative enough. I mean I've seen people do remote linkage style gearboxes in the past, but never ones that look this cleanly done or designed quite like this. Granted this has new parts which seem to work much better than those old pesky driving rings. I have built several of Paul's cars and every one of them are designed different from the last and includes many things that are new and refreshing. Like the door mechanism on his Phantasm, It was just genius. The way the hood opened on the muscle car and the linear gearbox setup. The gearbox in the vamp gt was IMO a game changer as far as transmissions layouts go. I see more and more builders incorporating that design into their models now. Maybe we have seen so much come from some of our favorite fellow builders that we now are expecting too much from them.

[TC6] Secret Project
Meatman replied to Omikron's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
To be honest I was wondering where this thread was going. But wow! What a great looking model came out of this -
I may be in the minority here, but when I see a MOC that doesn't look very good aesthetically or doesn't appear like it was soundly designed, I don't care what kind of gadgets or gizmos it has inside.

Wow. That black car is very stunning, especially from the rear. The chassis build also looks very clean. That cop car is just way cool and looks fantastic. I like how this shifts too. I seen the video on your facebook page with the sound. Love to hear that snap.

Your comment does sound like you are implying that "someone" bought up all of the blue axles as a plan to monopolize them. So who is this "someone" that you were talking about that had it planned all along? I would interpret that comment the same way that Paul did.

I just seen pics of it on Brickshelf. It is pretty amazing. I absolutely love this shot. Very creative. Plenty of sets they come in though. Jet Wasp -> 8444

I would like to know how a seller in the U.S. recently acquired 200 new #3 red connectors. -
Maybe you should consider ordering some from bricklink if possible. There seem to be plenty of people selling size 19.

Car looks gorgeous. Only thing that looks out of place are the side mirrors. They look like they are sitting a stud too low. It is especially noticeable from the side profile picture. I also didn't know that Lego made a 1/2 bushing in black. Learn something new everyday.

What about the Lexus LFA? That is considered a supercar and it has a front engine rear wheel drive. -

Top Gear called the Dodge Viper the bargain Supercar of the decade. So someone either has it right or wrong. -

Actually just checking on this, most major car blogs and websites list the Dodge Viper as a supercar and also exotic. This is right from Car & Driver. The Viper is both all-American and a true exotic, with lots of curves and bulges to let you know it means business. The long nose, bodacious body, and predatory stare give the Viper menacing looks, while its 645-hp, 8.4-liter V-10 can catapult it to 60 mph in about three seconds. For 2015, the price drops by $15,000, so the Viper is even more of a deal than before. It’s also easier to drive on the track and more comfortable on the road, too—wherever you drive it, the Viper will never be boring. -

A Corvette is not a muscle car. The Viper and Corvette are High Performance Sports cars and the Corvette ZR1 is in the list of the the top 50 Supercars of all time.
