  1. Paul just e-mailed me back. He said that he sent his early pictures to some guy for editing to see what the guy could do and the guy posted them on Flickr. He wasn't very happy about it. But hey, what can you expect when you work with strangers? Live and learn. He did an excellent job on the car. It's a very nice model.
  2. This is the pic that I have of it, but it is kind of small. Does anyone else have a better pic? Technicjaun?
  3. Here is the only pic that I got a chance to save. Does anyone have all of them?
  4. Regardless if that is a MOC or an actual set, you cannot deny that it is very impressive. And the fact that is more than likely a MOC makes it even more impressive. In fact the build looks so good, I could easily see this being a set released by TLG. And if in fact this is just a MOC, I wonder why the designer didn't include suspension or any other features and tried to stay true to the Technic/Racer theme? That is the only part that keeps me thinking that this could be an early leaked prototype. I have been ogling at the undercarriage pic for awhile now. Very Nicely done. Clever design with the middle diff-box. I like how all of the new-style parts have been implemented. Also, I didn't know Lego made Red axles in 10L. Is that what they are on the sides of the front window or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
  5. The Only problem that I can see with a fully studded body on a car that is 1:8 scale would be weight. firas abu jaber 's cars are very very nice and detailed but as you said not studless. I would imagine that it would be very difficult to make a nice body style out of all studless parts. I think Paul did(And has done in the past) a great job in this building aspect. Nathanael Kuipers is the only othet guy out there whose models simply blow me away. Personally I think that building a nice body with studless pieces is much more difficult than if you use traditional bricks because you must change your whole perspective on how you build.
  6. That is really awesome. Good Job!
  7. I really don't like this set. It says 4WD but only 2 wheels actually drive it.
  8. Wow, that is alot you have going on there. I have been tinkering around with power functions stuff. Your model looks really solid.
  9. I am not a big fan of the Flex tubes and panels either. But Paul's whole concept is studless design. And I can respect that. Looking at what he can do with only studless parts makes you wonder what he could do with the whole catalogue of studded parts that Lego has to offer. I do like how he did the Doors on this model though. That was pretty slick. I e-mailed him last week and he is supposedly working on instructions for this car(I've heard that from him before ) From what I was led to believe he has 2 body designs for the chassis depending on whether the engine was mounted in the front or the rear(Middle) He also sent me some pictures of new ideas that he had as well as where he does his building. He has TONS of parts, and I mean TONS. As an example he had 1 case with at least 10,000 small friction pins and 10,000 blue pins. But then again when you have crazy people out there paying him over $1000 for a custom model, I guess he can afford to buy parts in bulk.
  10. My New Crane Truck and Front Loader are on the way. I am very excited.
  11. Oh wow is that ever cool. I wonder if he is going to sell it. This guy constantly amazes me with every car that he does. He made use of parts that I would have never thought about using them for. I see now he has finally started building with Power Functions. This looks promising, I like what he used for a clutch. He needs to get a video up of it in action. What is the purpose of a double clutch for the steering though? I also see that Industrial Designer is working on a convertable roof for his supercar project. Looks way cool.
  12. Great Review! I was thinking about getting this set.
  13. Paul sent me some early pics of this car a few months ago. I had no idea that it would turn out like this. Wow. This guy has some serious skills. Too bad all he does is cars. Putting that skull on the roof was genious. Also love all of the mechanisms for the weapons. This is like an Uber-Supercar. Good job Paul. Wish you worked for Lego, so we could have sets like this.
  14. Can't wait till these new sets are released. Also a new Technic Forum would be great. This current one is too cluttered up with non-Lego related items, like drawings and stories.
  15. This is my favorite Technic Model. Paul's Stuff is just Sick. He sent me some new pics of his new Deathrace model that he is working on.... Unreal. It's guys like this who keep people interested and inspired to build.
  16. Maybe cars from the 60's and 70's.. I rebuild transmissions and I am under cars all of the time and maybe 1 out of 50 cars that I work on has leaf springs. That is probably why crow used that technique on a car that was from the 60's. Not trying to be rude to you on your build, but give credit where credit is do. I see that you are trying to build a smaller, but yet sturdy version, good luck! :)
  17. Well then how can this be YOUR idea for a solution to a problem that was solved by crowkillers? You basically designed a crappy version of what was already perfected and tried to pass it off as your own design. Then admitted that he "inspired" you to build it?
  18. Cool! Nice new pictures! The tranny was not really that hard to duplicate, crowkillers provided some nice clear pics of it from all angles. I am trying to replicate the chassis now, I built the rear suspension last night. This guy is an awesome builder. His pics just really inspire me to build and I am 30! :)
  19. I e-mailed crowkillers about better pics and he said that is in the process of better quality pics and they should be up real soon. I copied his new tranny and it does in fact work reall really well. Can't wait for more from the crowman.
  20. I had to register here after lurking for a few years just to post in this topic. First off, Crowkillers makes me sick. His cars are just ridiculous. This new one is beyond awesome. I thought that Industrial Designer's (Nathanael Kuipers) new car was good, but this new model... Wow. I just wish the Crowman would learn to take better pictures so I could see what the heck is going on. That is remarkable that he built a whole body that can be taken off as one part. and I see that each component has 6 or 4 pins that attatch them to the chassis. I also like how the gears for the suspension and tranny just "Mesh" Together. Too bad Nathanael could not pull this off with his new car. The Simple T-Top design was also brilliant. I like the storage idea for the front and back too. That switch mechanism on the dash is quite ingenious too. I'd really like to see this model in person or pics taken of better quality. Lego if you can hear me, please hire this guy at least for one supercar model. I'd pay anything for a cool set like this. Does anyone know what country this builder is from? I am assuming from Europe somewhere. By the way great site!
