  1. The tracked racer looks cool. The other sets. Meh.
  2. Just seen that Paul posted on facebook that he has free instructions available for this beauty.
  3. Wow. That is awesome! Sure do have a lot packed in there.
  4. Yeah, it seems many people were including myself. So was there and actual winner? Or was everyone a winner?
  5. Wow. How is this possible?
  6. I think if the offset of the wheels was deeper, it would be ok. But it does look a few studs wide.
  7. That is quite amazing. I am however very surprised by the lack of exposure something so unique and special as this received. The only places I had seen that promoted this was Brickset and Eurobricks. I wonder if it wasn't Technic based if other places would have mentioned it.
  8. Wow over $1,200. I am in no way knocking our favorite theme, but I am amazed that a television show actually went the technic route and not with regular bricks. I think that was quite an accomplishment. Maybe the Porsche had something to do with it?
  9. There seems to have been a lot of people involved in this. I am surprised no websites are covering this.
  10. It is being auctioned off for charity. Apparently he was on a recent episode of History channel show Counting Cars. I must have missed it. This is the picture in the Ebay listing. I can't find the episode on youtube.
  11. These guys really don't have to make instructions in the first place. Some prices do seem a bit steep though. Is anyone really selling 2000 downloads?
  12. There looks like there are a lot of panels.
  13. I must have missed that part in the video. So this way there was more play in the movement I suppose. What I am noticing is that parts seem to be really bending more than I thought they would have to in order to complete the shifting process. Maybe I am wrong, but this seems like something that if an afol would do, people would call them out for stressing parts.
  14. Very much enjoyed these videos. So is it correct that Lego claims they do not research or look at mocs afol have built?
  15. After finally completing my model and adding some of the necessary mods, I must say that this isn't as impressive as I thought that it would be.It's very large which is impressive, but mechanically is is kind of weak. The steering is very hard to work and the wheel is hard to get at and out of proportion. This model should have 100% used some type of hidden HOG steering. Too much force is needed to pull the paddles back and get the proper position and I hate that I am grabbing the rubber bands. It has some nice styling points, but then again, it has some really ugly gaps and places where nothing flows. Like the curved panels in the rear quarters over the new style wheel arches overlapping them and the big gaps behind them where the taillights are at. I think if Lego spent more time polishing this model it could have been one of the best ever. And did they use the tan 3L frictionless pin in the rear curved panels because a blue one would stick out too much? Also that 3L orange liftarm in the rear decklid just kind of hanging there using friction to keep it in place is cheesy.
  16. I seen this on Facebook. At first glance I thought that it was just the 8860. It is very pretty and very clean.
