  1. I am talking about it locking up. It shouldn't lock up if the motor was mounted at the wheels because the clutch will just spin. At least I don't think it should.
  2. It would make a huge difference where the motor was mounted. One motor is before that clutch gear and the other would be after it. The clutch gear prevents the gearbox from locking up.
  3. It doesn't look like it works fine in Sariel's video. In fact it looks like it is working horrible.
  4. Yes. Some people have ($)($) in their eyes without thinking everything through. Then again, they may have also used VIP points and turned them into cash. I would like to know what all of the people that were preselling it for $499 are going to tell the buyers.
  5. Did Sariel also have a motor running from the back of the engine? I think he had it hooked up at the same axle that the wheels were connected to.
  6. Was this set really in high demand? I was up very late last night and it never was available online to purchase. So after Ebay and Paypal fees and then paying for the free shipping, they will make what $50 on it?
  7. This review is much more compassionate compared to Sariel's. It is excellent though.
  8. I had expected that there was all kinds of problems based off of what people were hinting over the past week, but you mean to tell me that there is a an error in the instructions? And Lego's own team of professionals didn't notice it? What an embarrassment.
  9. I am still seeing June 1st on the Sweden and German Lego shop sites.
  10. That shouldn't have anything to do with the excess friction in the gearbox though.
  11. I am finding that very hard to believe. From the pictures it looks like all of the connectors in the set are the new kind except for the shifter in the middle. Plus I had seen the Techlug video and you could see it had the new style slider connectors in it.
  12. The Porsche tires look much more lower profile than the F1 tires. I think it was posted here back when the Porsche was show at the Toy fair that the tire size(diameter) was the same as the 42000 tires, it was just a lower profile and wider.
  13. Techlug briefly had a video review up on youtube, but it is gone now. As far as I could tell, everything appeared to be working properly. Maybe all of these gearbox problems are over dramatized?
  14. Assuming this reverse engineering build is correct, the gearbox doesn't move when rolled in lower gears? This is very disappointing.
  15. I would say that Anio has every right to compare it to the best cars out there considering Lego is calling it Ultimate. Ultimate - the best achievable or imaginable of its kind. I would assume that if Lego is going to make this claim, then they should be able to back that statement up.
  16. Mine has a yellow shock. It says DBG on bricklink for those sets.
  17. I wouldn't mind seeing a demonstration of this myself. I don't think that I've ever seen this technique used before.
  18. So is there a flaw with this set or not? I am getting the impression that there is something majorly wrong. Did those German guys say anything was wrong with the set?
  19. So they sent sets out to every LUG? And why are they permitted to show unboxings? Why do the actual Technic guys like Sariel and Jim have to wait until June 1st?
  20. Agree 100% The blocky looking calipers look bad. The stickers are not going to solve that problem. Now who is this guy? Did Lego send sets out to everyone with a Youtube account?
  21. Paul also had post on facebook about the rereleased race truck being $70 despite having only 600 parts. That set has no license or fancy packaging.
  22. Jim, I understand technic guys like you and sariel getting the set early to review, but why are so many other non technic people getting the set early too?
