  1. Well, he was either talking about the new wheel hub holders or the new driving ring part that lets them slide.
  2. I assume that the reverse will be a simple direction changer and the gears will still be able to change while in reverse.
  3. Yes, when shifting, they do seem like they were really bending those blue axle pins when he was pulling them back. Too bad there was no way to hide those rubber bands.
  4. There was a picture of a 9L liftarm in the teaser video yesterday.
  5. It looks like the argument over the scale of the car has been resolved.
  6. It's odd they are calling this "Ultimate" when there are so many other Technic models by Lego that are more advanced. This model doesn't even have as many working features as the 8880.
  7. Overall the car looks really good, but the entire steering area looks awful. I know what the goal was, but in my opinion it didn't turn out very well. Also kind of cheesy having to grab those parts and rubber bands to shift, but I guess they had to go with what works best.
  8. The Porsche emblems are more than likely going to be stickers. I cannot see Lego doing special printed panels for a Technic model. They have never done that before that I can recall.
  9. Good looking Mustang. Very recognizable.
  10. Nice car. Probably too large for Lego ideas, but you never know.
  11. If no power functions, I wonder how it changes gears? Those paddles don't look like they do anything other than move.
  12. Call me crazy, but I am more impressed by a clever gearbox design and it's mechanics like in the Kuipers' Predator supercar than I ever will be by a motorized model.
  13. Shouldn't the 3rd differential be between the front and rear drive axles to compensate? Unless you have something going on there that I am missing.
  14. ^^^Personally, I don't take models that use 3rd party materials and very questionable build techniques as serious as I do ones that are more well thought out with standard Lego parts and clever ideas. I know some people don't care, but that is just my opinion.
  15. Yes I have, and your designs are solid, which is very nice. I am waiting for some bricklink orders to start on your new car. I too do not like when liftarms and parts are being used over flex axles to create curves. This seems to be appealing to many, but I just don't like it. I do not think that it is something that we would ever see come from a designer's table at Lego, and there is probably a reason why.
  16. I think that more people would know about them if they had the chance to actually build them and then shared their experience along with their finished build online.
  17. I honestly do not find this style of building very impressive due to the lack of a solid structural design. It's too cheesy IMO. I am much more impressed when parts and panels are used in a clever and legal way. It's too easy to just cut a piece of tubing when you need to connect point A to point B. Not to mention that it's too easy for the body shape to get bent oddly throwing the symmetry and proportions off(the roof for example) and then you have to fine tune it back into the proper position. I have noticed that many of the best looking models also have the weakest design along with somewhat questionable techniques being used. I have started to build quite a few AFOL models and whenever I get to a point where the build is just too fragile or parts are being used in a questionable manner, I usually lose interest in finishing it.
  18. I remember Paul(I think it was crowkillers) saying something about not all technic parts not being true in real life, but they were in digital.
  19. Ah..... I see what you mean now. Looks ok, but overall a bit too much custom for my taste.
  20. Looks good. Much better and improved over the previous model. Overly large tires?
  21. Nice car. Are all of those shocks really necessary though? It doesn't look all that heavy.
