    I really like this, you captured the style perfectly. Having said that, I think the fact that you tried to fill every nook and cranny in makes it look a little overdone.

    Not a fan of the ribbed hoses for styling, the front and the back don't seem to flow together, but overall it looks good.

    Nice car. Shame there was no way to keep the engine from sticking out the back.

    Ok, this is a really great model. The picture quality is just as amazing as the model itself(Although some of the angles of the pictures make the car to appear a little awkward or disproportioned) The rear looks gorgeous, the front looks very good(reminded me a bit of Jurgen's Koenigsegg) The side view is good, but I am not feeling the flow so much with the angles of the panels. Maybe it is due to the length, I am not sure. I tool like the use of the helicopter blades for air intakes, never seen that technique used before. I would have liked to see Nathanael maybe take a few more chances with the panel work and possibly come up with something new. Regardless of my small critiques, this is a very solid model and without a doubt a must build. Paul, I would also like to commend you for creating a thread like this showing respect for another great builder and showcasing their work. This is something very rarely seen here at eurobricks.

    You can get sets cheap sometimes on Ebay, but as far as buying parts goes, sellers there charge way too much for parts. You can order them cheaper right from Lego shop at home's bricks&pieces section.

    Ugh. I hate teasers. At least I know this teaser will most likely live up to the hype though. I almost forgot about this new model. Paul, I take it that you have seen it already?

    Looking good. One question though, are there any issues with the hard spring shocks not having any support from the front side?

    Sounds like it could be friction in first gear. I've noticed on some of the builder's car mocs that I've built, the gearbox usually works ok until the engine is added and that last bit of friction causes problems in first gear.

    Well put. And if you make a simple mistake in the beginning, it can cost you in the end.

    I don't know. It seems every new wave of sets that come out, they are designed rather cleverly. This new studless style demands it.

    Well Mahj said right in the first post that this was a one off thing. So if someone else comes along and wants to sell one of his MOCs that I assume that he would say no.

    This is a great point. What if you contact a designer and inform them that you need to sell a MOC that you built of his/hers and they say NO? What do you do then?

    Exactly. If the original designer gets his credit, that is what is most important. When I built the Vamp gt, I probably spent well over $400 gathering the parts and paying for shipping from all over the world. Not to mention the time invested placing orders, building the model, etc. I don't think there is an actual price that I could resell it for where I could claim that I made profit considering all of the money and time that I had put into it.

    For the record, I would never sell any of my MOCs of models that I have built from all of you guys, I am just trying to look at this from a perspective of different situations. NO ONE should build someone else's model to display anywhere and take credit for it. That is just wrong on about every level. I also don't think that someone should build a model with the intention to only flip it after it is completed to make a profit. But if someone is selling off their whole collection on Ebay and one or two of your MOCs happens to be part of it, what can you really do about it?

    I agree with you 100% with this as it is not right that people do that, actually I remember there was a thread here a few years ago about a show where someone won an award or something using someone else's model, but if I am going to sell off my collection of other people's MOCs to my next door neighbor because my car broke down and I need money, it seems a bit strange that I would have to contact everyone who designed the original models to get their permission to sell them.

    Has someone sold your stuff online before? I don't want to sound negative about this here, but I have paid for a lot of MOC instructions and have built quite a few models from them myself. If I ever was in need of money due to an emergency, I honestly don't think that I would take the time to email and message every single builder out there to give them my plight and get their permission to sell what I have paid for and built. I would definitely give credit to the original builder though. Now if someone buys instructions and mass produces a MOC from them, then I can see the original designer being upset about it. Or if soemone steals the credit for the model. But if they are getting credit and maybe a link to the original instructions is included, then that looks like free advertisement to me.
