This is a fantastic scene, I have never been to the American desert but this is exactly how I picture it! I love the retro diner and the tanker truck in particular but the whole creation is very well done! All it's missing is a cacti or two!!! Great work and happy building
-
Fantastic MOD of the town hall there, it looks impressive doubled up like that and goes well in your town! Great work and happy building

Wow! So many entries and they are all so good!!! Well done to everyone! But I decided to be harsh with my voting and vote for the 3 stand outs IMHO... 29. May the best camper win!

It looks great all together! And with the vehicles it looks very busy, you've done a great job getting it all together! Maybe you could have a little car accident, someone run up the back of someone else... Always good for a laugh Anyway, good luck with the rest of your prep, happy building

Great little modular building! The signs work really well and the interior is very well done. I like the way the awning wraps around the building and the outside eating area looks very cosy makes me wanna scoff down a pizza after a long day riding! Great work and happy building

I really like the way they keep the classic faces on the modular series. On the same token as the way they avoid using stickers in the modulars... And isn't this one of the reasons people don't consider Market Street a real modular building...?
-
Whoah!!! What a modular building! This is just amazing, there I was thinking they couldn't top the GG but this will come mighty close, I'll have to wait til I actually build it to decide but wow! I don't think I can wait to get my hands on this!!!! So many great details, and different ways of doing bits and pieces... I WANT IT NOW!!!
-
Cool modular, you've done an amazing job on the detail of the interior given the space you have to work with, it's fantastic! And the exterior is well detailed too, I love the snot windows in the butcher and the colours go well together! All in all a great MOC, I can't wait for the next one happy building
-
I really like the exterior, the colours go well and there's a nice amount of detail, particularly the cheese slopes, great touch!! And those scissors are something else!! Amazing work I do think the guy was better with long hair tho, I like long hair Happy building
-
It's a bit busy for my taste but major respect to you for the work you have put into this build!! I really love the round tower on the top story, the way you have finished it off is really well done!! And the piece count on this must be enormous, you have certainly created an amazing building! Will you ever try to brick build it? I hope you do post again (I know how you feel tho), happy building anyhow

This is a very well put together modular. The facade is well done and the details in the interior are fantastic. I love the photo of the view from the top of the atrium, that looks great! In regards to the roof, I don't think roofs need to be that interesting, in real life roofs are pretty boring so I wouldn't expect every building in a LEGO town to have really interesting roofs... Just my thought... Fantastic build overall! I look forward to the next, happy building
-
Yeah I really like the look of the roof, and I still love that sign, I think that's my favourite part of this build. But I like the way the whole thing is coming together... I look forward to the next bits, happy building

This is a very good looking and unique modular, I really like it! I love the colours you've blended in to the facade/walls and the details in the interior are really good too! The clock looks great, and looks like it works....? I think my favourite section is the bit with the gargoyles, they are done really well and the windows on the floor below look great as well as the details around the gargoyles. Well done and happy building

Looks good, I like the signage above the door and the use of the minifig plates, the roof in general looks really interesting too and as usual the interior is fantastic!! I look forward to seeing what's next, happy building

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
timmyc1983 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Hmm interesting, I would not have thought about using the black ones, thanks for the suggestion! I found some in a store for around AU$8 each which is relatively cheap I guess... I'll have a bit more of a think about it before I decide... Thanks again for the ideas -
Wow I'm really liking the interior of the 'old picture theatre'. Loots of great little details there! I too wonder exactly what the building's used for now I look forward to more, happy building

Well thought out and executed. I like that you based it loosely on City Museum set, plenty of detail on the facade and I love the detail in the interior! Great work and happy building

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
timmyc1983 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Hello, I a quick question for anyone who has or has bricklinked Market Street. I have about 25% of the bricks ordered and won't be completing it until the dark blue arches come down in price (hopefully when the Winter Village Market is released) but I was wondering about the white hoses for the balconies. What have you used to avoid buying the expensive hoses on bricklink, or do you have to bite the bullet with this piece and think about your average price per piece...?? Any suggestions would be appreciated -
Great work there, you've captured the town's look very well! My favourite is the pub I think, I love the detailed interior esp the upstairs section with the pool table and kegs etc. Great work and good luck for the fete, happy building

Thanks Kristel, the jacuzzi is one of my favourite features of this build glad you like it! I thought about just using it for the bottom floor and angled wall, but not only could I not come up with an alternative for the rest of the façade that I liked, but I also wanted the building to be the same throughout, top and bottom. I'm not much of a fan of having the bottom floor too different to the upper stories. Thanks Kivi, I put a lot of work in to the interior so I'm glad you like it. Interiors aren't my forte but I wanted this one to be right. Thanks monsinjor Wow! That's a pretty amazing building!! I'd love to see it built in LEGO haha and I'm flattered that my build even reminds you of such a structure!!!

looks great, I love the look of your asseccories in the layout, they fit really well and great use of the statue! I look forward to more as usual, happy building

Thanks for all the comments, I appreciate them all - positive and negative I will try and get some shots of the instruments on their own tonite! Funny you say that, I actually bought most of the bricks for this and the Town Hall MOD over a month ago but have been waiting for them to arrive and waiting for stuffed up orders to be completed... All is good now tho, I'm happy with both builds

Hello, At the moment the two most important things in my life are LEGO and music, so it makes sense to combine the two! This is a 3 storey modular building with around 3200 bricks, I'll let the picture do the rest of the talking, there are many more picture on my flickr photostream. I wanted to do two things with the exterior; one was the use of plates and second was windows all the way up the building, I'm quite happy with the result. The bottom floor is record store with a counter, many CDs for sale and even a vinyl box for the record lovers. There is also a storage room under the stairs to recording studio and stairs to the second floor where there are musical instruments for sale. The white tiles on the wall were meant to have stickers on them of 'posters' of music bands etc but my printer isn't talking to my computer atm.... Here is the second floor; this is the floor for all your musical instrument needs with guitars, a trumpet, a flute, a drum kit and even a grand piano!! You can also see the gold records on the wall leading up to the record studio. The third floor is the recording studio, as you can see there are two singers in the studio at the moment (although their microphones have fallen over ) but there is also a drum kit, an upright piano and a couple of guitars. The recording equipment is on show too, and more gold records on the wall, it's important to show your work off! And finally the roof top, there's no party like the after party!! And this is where it's at, all the stars can relax in the jacuzzi or enjoy a champagne or two with their BBQ. The store and studio is run by twin DJs, one you can see manning the BBQ, the other is chatting with the talent. Anyway, I hope you like it, as mentioned before there are heaps more shots, particularly of the interior and instruments on my photostream. Comments are welcome and appreciated
