  1. Cool little scene you have there! I love the skate park and your petrol station looks great too! Actually I like all you buildings I dare say the pizzas in that area must be high quality for there to be two in one shopping area, same with the customer service at the bike/skate shop (bloody TLG )... Is this shopping area part of a larger display?? Happy building
  2. Wow really impressively busy with the trains and the monorails running! Looks fantastic!! And I love what you've done with the 7937 station, looks fantastic on the second level like that! The city looks so good all in all tho I look forward to more updates, happy building
  3. Wow good luck, I guess it was today, so I hope it all went well for you, with minimal breakages it looks great in the hall, I'm sure you'll be the talking point of the fete! Great work
  4. I like this building a lot, and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets bored of doing interiors as I work up a building BUt I love the arches out front and the space on the bottom floor looks good too, but for some reason, I really like the back of the building, maybe it's the extra details you've put in there or the windows or something, but for me it's the highlight of the build, annoying as you don't see enough inside corners Anyway, enough babble from me, great work and I hope to see it brick built one day, happy building
  5. Very cool bike you have made there and I like that it has a back story, even if it does seem a little sad (not everything in life is happy!). I don't know much about bikes but it looks right and I think you have managed to fit in plenty of detail into such a small MOC! Good work on the minifig too Great work and happy building
  6. yeah I really like this one, it's the green I think, it contrasts well with the white and the stickers! Looking good as usual... I look forward to seeing more, happy building
  7. Wow I love this one! I love the dark red and the detail you have put in! Those windows on the top floor look fantastic and I like the 'alcove' you have created on the bottom floor at the corner, great colour choices and the grey roof works well with the brighter colours down below! I think this is my favourite of yours, closely followed by the art deco building (also love the colours in that building ) Fantastic builds and I look forward to see their interiors, happy building Edit - I'd love to see some pics of your 'street' if you have any? Also with some of the official modulars if you have any
  8. Really nice building, I love the way you've done the curved windows, very inventive! I also like the taller part of the roof above the balcony (not sure of the architectural term), but it works veru well. Maybe another colour other than the grey would be nice but it's still a very good building with lots of great detailing! I look forward to the interior, happy building
  9. Fantastic MOC, amazing detail in the landscaping and the bridges are amazing! I must say I'm a sucker for LEGO waterfalls so I really like that and the cabin is really well done too! I'd love to know how you tackled the roof? I think my favourite part is the use of the greenery and trees for the landscaping! Great work and happy building
  10. Great little tractor and trailer there, I too would love to see it in a farm environment, even the farm sets from a few years ago would be cool :) Happy building
  11. Thanks LegoSjaak, I appreciate you spending the time to do that And your Emerald Night is indeed very impressive, so many carriages
12. Sorry to bump an old topic, BUT an update is required... I ended up buying a second hand EN which had been assembled but the stickers were not applied. It was cheaper than a MISB set but I think I got a good deal. Then I decided I wanted more carriages and have bricked up a carriage which I MOD'd from the original carriage (shown in this topic). For now I have just made one, but if I ever get some spare $$ I may make some more (or make some different types of carriages ie, mail, third class etc). I made this one the first of the second class carriages, here is the result: (Flickr has changed their sharing options and I can't figure out how to deep link the pics on this posts, but here are the links:) http://www.flickr.co...83/10326217176/ http://www.flickr.co...83/10326219675/ http://www.flickr.co...83/10326224926/ Hope you like it
  13. I would like to echo everyone's sentiments here, it really shows the true spirit of this community that you would respond to concerns the way you did Jamie, good on you!! I'm glad to be part of this fantastic community and share in the inspiration I get from the LEGO sets and from other people's MOCs! Keep up the great work Jamie and everyone!!!
  14. Well done on your result. I love the look of the house and I love the idea of having a pond in my front garden great build overall!! Congrats and happy building
  15. This looks awesome! The multi levels is a great effect and I love the classic feel to the whole setup! I also love how it's all over the house, LEGO should be the main feature of any house Great work and happy building
  16. Haha that was hilarious! I love the two different angles and in slow mo!! Awesome. And well done to the minifig for surviving that! Hehe, happy building
  17. Yeah looks great so far, I look forward watching it develop into a fully fledged modular building :D Happy building
  18. Fantastic movie and fantastic scene very well done bricked! Great work on the scene and the minifigs are really well done too! I also particularly like the air-con unit on top of the caravan.. Great work and happy building
  19. That's a really well designed street light and looks really effective in the dark. It's really clever how you have made the PF cord part of the design! Great work and happy building
  20. Amazing layout you have lots of fantastic sets in there and the layout is very well done, not too crowded but still looks busy! I can't wait to see what bridges you make Thanks for sharing and happy building Edit - Missed a word out, so it didn't make much sense
  21. This is a fantastic modular building!! As many have said the curved façade is fantastic and the details on the façade on all stories is amazing and I love the overall colour scheme all over too. I also love the little extra round bit you have added to the bedroom floor, it is a great touch. The interiors are also very well done with great details! All in all an awesome modular building, well done and happy building
  22. These are really cool, my favourite is the cafe, I love the life jackets as seats, great piece usage!! Great MOCs, happy building for you and your wife
  23. I agree with 'Jctriguy', if you look at the modulars I think they are all pretty well proportioned to each other. The GE, FB, PC and TH all take up the full 32 x 32 and in real life these would all be big buildings, certainly in Australia they are anyway. All the other modulars are first floor only with retail (even the Parisian Restaurant is mainly 1st floor retail only, aside from the deck upstairs) whereas all the 'bigger' buildings are two or three stories..... Having said that, I think the GE does lend itself to further stories and looks great with them added, but I agree with Aanchir, I think you only need to add one or two stories before it gets too much and would look way too big...
  24. Very nice MOD, I agree the windows are very well done, great piece usage there! I do agree with arator tho, I would want to be parking that car in that space Great work and happy building
  25. Looking good, nice piece of shrubbery there and I really like the fence, it just looks right! I look forward to the next update, happy building
