  1. Very cool, very creative! So many clever techniques used, like Batman's strike and Pres. Business' dive. This is hilarious! I needed a good laugh, so thanks for posting.
  2. Damn, that Minifigure is hilarious! The expression on his face, the hair blown back...priceless!
  3. Taller, wider...whatever! I loves me some bigfigs; and having the likes of Colossus, Blob, The Thing as such would be just dandy. I think they look great in the game, and I'd enjoy having them in my collection sooner than later. Please!
  4. I don't know whether I'd like a bigger construction Mech. On one hand, a larger scale mech would be very impressive, but then comes the higher price tag. On the other hand, a smaller mech is easier for my kids to manage, but needs some mods. I want to add articulation to the arms, waist, and perhaps the legs. I swapped out the shorter chains for longer ones. Easier to bash some of the bigger micromanagers that way.
  5. I agree. The Milano is a damn fine set. It's a fun build using some interesting techniques. The minifigs are top notch. The ship is very swooshable. As far as the other two sets, I have the Knowhere Escape only. I bought it for the minifigures.
  6. What to do on a Saturday night when the wife n kids are in bed sick? Why, bust out The Lego Movie n watching while getting to work on Benny's Spaceship! Easily one of my favourite sets to come out on a long time! It was fun to build, and definitely got me reminiscing about being a young lad n building with my Classic Space sets. Funny how I spent a lot of time trying to build Star Wars ships out of them waaaaaaaay back then. Now, you can't throw a 2x2 brick down the toy aisle without hitting a Star Wars Lego set. Luckily, I found my old Space bricks, so I can't wait to incorporate them into some new creations. The blue bricks held up rather well, but the white and light grey...not so much.
  7. Geez, the more I read about Spider-Ham, the more I want a Spider-Ham Minifigure. Also, I can't believe I forgot about Goose Rider! I bet that if USM did an episode based entirely on Spider-Ham's universe, a corresponding Lego set would make a killing with kids. Since being reminded or them, I've dug up my old issues of Spider-Ham, et all., and my kids love 'em.
  8. I am definitely picking up some of these new pieces, but man, if my daughter sees these, my Lego budget is so screwed...she'll want an army! Angels, Valkyries, Furies, oh my.
  9. Man, if I had the balls to disassemble my HH, then this would be the reason to do so! I can't get over how well you designed the interior. I dont know where to start. So many little intricate details just put this house over the top: the stacked plates in the kitchen, the doorway details, the bannister. The bathtub and refrigerator builds are truly inspired, and the inclusion of the first floor study is just too cool. Thank you for sharing!
  10. Nice alternate build with The HH bricks! This would fit well into my brick neighborhood. Thanks for posting! Cool black/white pics too.
  11. Spider-Ham would be a welcome addition to my collection! I loved the first few issues of the comic when I was a kid, so to see this in some form would be cool. Not, "$125 for a lousy SDCC exclusive" cool, but "$20 set with with another anthropomorphic villain like Magsquito (for reals)" cool.
  12. I'd buy Emmet's apartment building as.a modular in a heartbeat.
  13. Well done! Our town has its annual carnival in town this week, and being on rides like The Mixer and Dodgems got me thinking about MOC'ing a couple sets. Thanks for the inspiration!
  14. Hmmm...a brickbuilt vs. Bigfig Hulkbuster. Is it too much to ask for both? How about a base Hulkbuster Bigfig body that has studs to attach Lego-fied Stark armor?
  15. I would strongly suggest to anyone they should buy this set! Considering the build and details of the set, it may as well be a Modular. This was the gateway set that enabled my kids and I to get hooked on our next Modulars: the Pet Shop, Palace Cinema, Grand Emporium, and Parisian Restaurant. The Haunted House is still the favourite. From the building experience to the exquisite detailing to the minifigures, this set is a must-have. We break out The Haunted House and all our other Monster Fighter sets at the beginning of October along with the rest of the Halloween decorations.
  16. O O Oh my... That's a masterpiece! ° ( )
  17. With SDCC coming up in July, I imagine that's when we could see sets introduced for 2015. I think one of the sets is Bat-related, especially since this year's The Batman's 75th anniversary. Totally unrelated to SDCC, but tied into Lego B3 videogame, some customizers are already churning out minifigures based on characters in the game. I just saw one based on the newly designed Plastic Man and another on Batman's space suit. Initially, I didn't care for Plas, but now he's kinda growing on me.
  18. Ain't that the truth! Both the car and the mech are cool builds. I especially like the ways of incorporating the cage onto the back of the mech and also the arm launcher. Nice touch!
  19. Hey! Why stop there? Let's compare Benny's Spaceship to the closest thing we have in reality: the space shuttle. There's no way in hell Benny's ship would make it off the ground, much less reach escape velocity. It would melt! And don't even talk about reentry. Shiver me timbers! Off topic. This be The Pirates forum. Well, if'n yer lookin' to compare the whimsical design of the beloved Sea Cow to any actual tall ship that's sailed the Seven Seas, then ye might be a few ounces short of a pint. Savvy?
  20. This is a very clever, very cool build! I love it! Using the capes as lapels for his coat is genius. The noose is a great touch. Thanks for sharing!
  21. I agree. It looks like a goon wearing a cap under his space suit helmet.
  22. This is not so much a custom as a "kitbash" from different sources. Mohawk from brickforge.com, head from Eclipsegrafx Tempest, torso decal from finecloniers.com, and a custom overcoat from some eBayer. The legs are from some unknown Lego minifig.
  23. Gypsy is coming along very nicely! It's very well proportioned! Excellent color choice, too.
  24. Your mods are a great start! The only thing I can think of is to follow through and build up the back end. Perhaps try using a SNOT-type built set of wings connected to the jet with a few grey pins. But I really like your inclusion of the ramp.
  25. I would think that just about any character that isn't racist, sacrilegious, or politically incorrect would be fair game for a Minifigure. If you would have told me a couple years ago that we would have The Beetle, Rocket Racoon, and Falcon before any of The FF or almost any of The X-Men, I would have called shenanigans. Yet here we are. Not that I'm complaining. I love the diversity!
