  1. The licensed minifigs are humanoid animals and not persons in animal costumes. So I don't think any of these licensed themes would be there. Also, license holders typically are not happy with their items being mixed with other licensed items. I do wonder if all of the 12 would involve an animal costume minifig. Or perhaps it is just the cat and the koala? Others are regular minifigs that reference animals?
  2. Hmmm, if it will stay as a 32x32 but be big, maybe it can gain extra height? LOL
  3. I am happy we are getting an animal costume themed CMF!!! However, I am surprised that it came ahead of a Castle themed one! What other possible themes could Lego explore? Pirates?
  4. I feel like we will also get an insect costume, mini fig. For the dinosaur costume, I do agree a brachiosaur is likely, although a stegosaurus would be awesome.
  5. Licensed CMFs from the same theme still come once every two years, at the closest interval, correct? Could be longer, but has a licensed theme been two consecutive years? Just considering future releases (e.g., series #2 and #3, if there will be).
  6. I do feel like the three (Rivendell, Barad-dur, and Shire) were somewhat 'different'. Rivendell was 'perfect' in many ways. There is a wow factor with just the design. Then the size. Then the minifig lineup. Of course it also had that 'debut' factor. Barad-dur had less of the above but I think still sold quite well. I'd point out the less number of minifigs. I think fans would have been happy with the less number of unique figs if it had just contained more (ie., 'battlepack'). The Shire is a much much smaller set, different proportion of minifigs, and less grand of a build. All in all, I feel like Lego is testing the market as to how much it can jack up the price for the least amount of build, least amount of minifigs, with the greatest proportion of MSRP. It is crazy how Star Wars sets cost these days, especially the smaller ones. Maybe we are heading that way. :(
  7. Really love that classic space logo on the billboard!
  8. Excellent job! Would love to also 'build' the minifigs!
  9. Hmm, do they really have to feature all 9? And in one set? They could either split the 9 between two CMFs, or just feature some of the 9 and fill the rest of the roster with other characters. I would not mind a battle pack in place of a CMF. Or a battle pack (a la Star Wars) alongside a regular set. I'm really curious if they will be taking a gap year to re-evaluate the market? Or we are finished with the theme???
  10. The real Glinda has "puffy" sleeves that almost look like fairy wings. Not sure how to make that in minifig form, but perhaps some shoulder pads? Then the hair would have to be long and wouldn't that get in the way of the shoulder pads? Would really like an original Glinda and Wizard but just couldn't find parts to make a MOC. I might just change Ariana's hair and pretend it is the original Glinda. LOL
  11. Somewhat regretting not ordering Castle in the Forest. I also still have to order MTS.
  12. I'm a big Devastator fan (Transformers). I would one day like to see all of the six vehicles eventually made into a Lego set. LOL
  13. I am so hoping for a theater but it is unlikely with all these budget constraints. I wonder if the next modular will be a single 32x32 baseplate, or two, or even 1.5?
  14. Almost Deathstar vibes, but just Blacktron! Great work!
  15. Great attention to detail! Thanks for posting!
  16. What an amazing build!
  17. Is a CMF really out of the question?
  18. Looks great! Would definitely buy the MOC instructions if available!
  19. Looks like this will be a veery popular set - before I could pre-order mine, my usual retailer has already closed all pre-orders.
  20. That Wicked bookend just came out of nowhere... Though I don't collect Wicked figs and have no plans of seeing the movie, I might actually pick this up just for the figs. I have the Dorothy and company CMFs, plus the monkeys from the Batman set. Now I can include Glinda and the Wizard in my collection.
  21. Can't Lego provide us with the regular torso/ legs, plus alternate torso/ legs for jumpsuits? LOL I guess that would be too much to ask...
  22. Has that dog at the top tile ever been made into an actual piece?
  23. They could include a random kid in a lightning McQueen suit (like the previous CMF). Lol Honestly, I think they will just skip it!
  24. Excellent work!
  25. Just in the past couple of weeks on Reddit, I've been seeing plenty of Crow faction MOCs from third parties (printed torsos). Crow and Bear were two factions proposed in the original fan vote but the two new suggestions, Kraken and Griffins won. I wonder if Lego might reconsider making some Crows and Bears. After all, they gave us two new spaceman instead of an just one.
