Highlights for me include: Brown Spaceman - what other major color have they yet to produce? Bright light blue? Marie Antoinette - they need to make a King Louis to go with that fig. Are we seeing more French buildings soon? Carrot Guy! Wonder if the top can be removed? Would have loved the T-rex but one feature of the animal was the huge tail to balance the forward body. I don't think it was represented well in that costume.

My guesses: 1) Rabbit costume person using the new rabbit head from the CNY set 2) A medieval figure. What have they not included in the Lion Knights castle, a king? A prince? Or perhaps it is just the Orc? LOL 3) Space figure - M-tron, perhaps. 4) Pizza chef/ Italian chef - since the new modular is rumored to have a pizza shop? 5) Jazz singer - modular is also rumored to have a jazz club? 6) Race car driver - to celebrate more of the Speechamps line. LOL 7) Construction worker 8) Train driver/ conductor to celebrate the upcoming Ideas train. 9) Entomologist 10) Cameraman/ photographer (with a polaroid camera) 11) Greek/ Roman mythology character - Zeus? Mercury? 12) Elizabethan queen. Why not?

Honestly, they could've done an ice festival with ice castles/ sculptures. I believe they have that in Northern China every year where the ice sculptures are all lit up. Perhaps Lego thought it will compete too much with their Frozen castle. LOL Ditto. I just hope they keep making minifig-builds instead of decorations. So you will have it by the time CNY comes? Sometimes, I never understood why some Christmas promos (gwp) would be out in December and by the time you got the item in the mail, Christmas is over.

Exactly my thoughts - I would prefer vignettes with scenes relating to CNY. I think it has become a tradition to feature a minifig dressed in the year's animal zodiac so I think we will at least see one minifig each year. LOL

Yes, perhaps Chicago and New York are the two that come on top of the list for where pizza and jazz may coexist in one building!

Would anyone have a suggestion for a display case for the Great Fishing Vessel from the BL Designer Program? I have the Lighthouse and Old Fishing Store and found displays for those two at WickedBrick. However, they do not make any case for the Great Fishing Vessel. I looked around for custom acrylic cases and they are usually about three times the cost had they been made by WickedBrick. Thanks for any info.

Just bought a new house, and I purchased a design plan with an online company to help me design my AFOL room. My experience has been quite interesting so far. The house has a room at the basement with is about 26 feet x 12.5 feet. The previous owners used 2/3 of it as a media room, with a couch and large TV. The other third had a set up for gaming. I was wanting to convert it into a part-media room, and part AFOL assembly area, with the display tying both areas together. I was not really sure how to lay out the furniture so I needed help from this online design company. They do make nice renderings of living and dining rooms. The moment I mentioned "Lego," the designer exclaimed, "...how cute..." and that "...all the kids will have fun..." despite the fact that my original brief mentioned that this is a house for a single person, and an AFOL at that. I corrected her and despite that, she still placed kiddie chairs and painted the walls red, leaving with one side with a "glitter" effect. She designed my other rooms which had a coastal theme with muted colors. After my corrections, she did come up with a new design (following post). I could not post the revised design due to limited jpg space. But she basically put that couch to the side, and placed a large dining-size table with four chairs! I cannot believe that at this day and age, many people think that Legos are only for kids. None of these designers seem to have come across a request to design an AFOL room.

The recent Lion Knight's Castle (set #10305) appears to feature the Black Falcons trying to invade (?) the Lion Knights' castle. The Forestmen appear to be allied with the Lion Knights, but definitely their own group. How many kingdoms were there in the Castle theme, and who were allied with whom?

I was at one of the Seattle-area shops a few days ago, and it was the first time PAB/ BAM were available to the public. The BAM kiosk was just about open to anyone, and there were kids sticking their arms into the pile of minifig parts, going through them with their hands and rubbing their noses in between. I get that masks now are optional but that was something else!

Remind me, what was the reason again why we're having two CMF series this year? I read somewhere that the actual series 23 was what was supposed to have been an earlier series but delayed due to covid. Some however suggested that this was supposed to be the anniversary set - which would have been absolutely fantastic. Oh well...

Couple of observations: - still no pearl dark gray and olive green monochrome hair piece! :( - am I correct in saying that we will be finally getting a monochrome medium lavender with that new Harry Potter fig? (hair item no 88283) Lastly, there is also no light nougat hair piece but I don't know if the Egghead bald head qualifies? (item 28125) At least that is what I have on my light nougat mono. Has anyone come across a shadow box that could fit a 48-stud baseplate? I know there are a bunch of frames out there (Ikea, etc) which can fit the 32-stud ones. But I wanted a bigger one to fit 40+ monofigs. The only alternative I could think of is building my own framing with bricks on the edges of the 48-stud baseplate. But then there would be no protective window.

Been looking all over for the Tiger lady and it isn't even listed on eBay anymore. It is also not listed on Bricklink! I am not near any physical Lego store. Any ideas?

I recently got into this whole monofig thing and then came across this thread here. I would like to display my monofigs on a framed baseplate, and would very much prefer that they are fitted with wigs/ hair pieces. The effect I am trying to achieve is similar to the "Everybody is Awesome" set. However, I am coming to a conclusion that many colors don't have a corresponding hair piece! I have so far resorted to putting on some form of headgear like a hat. But even that makes with whole project incoherent. Anyway, I wanted to ask you guys for suggestions (for a hair piece most preferably, or a hat as a last resort) for these colors: Sand Blue Medium Blue Light Azure Sand Green Olive* Light Flesh/ Light Nougat* Medium Lavender Light Aqua *(both olive and light nougat do not have any monochrome headpiece???) Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

I'll be moving back to my home in a couple months, and I have several very precious minifigs - Star Wars, LOTR, etc. I have my display cases back home, but I'm wondering what is the best way to transport my minifigs? I probably won't ship or mail them out due to them being too precious. I plan on taking them with me on the 2000 mile drive across the country. Does anyone have any idea for a MOC to hold the minifigs inside boxes for example? Any other ideas for keeping them "safe" while inside my car for the several days long trip? Thanks!

I'm rooting for an "ice and snow festival" and it would be cool to have it lighted! But I also agree with the previous posts about a Chinese zodiac CMF series!

Is it Gorilla and Lizard for King Kong and Godzilla, respectively? LOL I love it! I do think the Sushi Chef would be great for Japantown in SF as well. I read that SF has the oldest (?) Chinatown in the US. So perhaps I'll throw in one of those Chinese New Year minifigs as well. Thanks guys for all your suggestions!

I am making a New York and a San Francisco-themed MOCs and I need some suggestions for minifigs from the CMF series, or perhaps any existing ones out there. So far, here is a list of what I came up with: San Francisco: Hippie (series 7) Computer Programmer (series 7) New York: Lady Liberty (series 6) Hot Dog guy (series 13) - Coney Island hot dogs? lol Police Officer (series 9) - NYPD?
