Black should work fine. I think a Lego set with only one colour looks somehow bland, even if it fits the original model. The size may also fit nicely, as this set is way more "dense" than the 42100, which also used the big treads. I don't think TLC will bring a new tread elements or use combination of elements (e.g. small treads doubled, or chains with 6l liftarm).

I am not really a technic car fan but this is insanely well done. Can you show the door mechanism in more detail? :-) -
@Zerobricks I was just about to write the same. Plus it uses up plug position in the control+ box which could be used for more usefull functions. I think this will be a set with 1 smarthub, 1 motor for each track, 1 motor for blade lifting and 1 motor for ripper. Maybe we again get 100+ pieces for pushing around, same as the 42100 with 102 of these:

[TC19] Mondial HPS 125

Thank you very much for the kind words! :-) It's purely for the looks. The shifter mechanism is still horizontal, only the disk and accordingly the foot pedal is slightly tilted downwards as it is in the original: -
Technic 2021 Set Discussion
Jundis replied to LvdH's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks like it. I re-read the article. Aprils Fools Day in January it seems: "LEGO welcomes the invited guests and names the most successful themes of the previous year. The Top 5: " LEGO Pirates " LEGO Classic Space " LEGO Trains " LEGO Brains " LEGO Nexo Knights" .... so the 6986 pieces CAT is highly likely not true... xD Edit: According to more reliable source, the piece count of the CAT is 3854: https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-technic-sommer-2021/#lego-technic-42130 -

Great model, even better with the B-model, which is totally different from A. That's really a great scale. As said, the only thing missing is a third actuator, which will be a nice first Mod for this thing ;-) -

Brilliant MOC! Functions are flawless. How did you manage, that the pneumatic work so well while lowering the boom?

Yep, cable laying really is a pain in the armpit in Stud.io Btw.: From the blueprint it looks like the front axles have very limited ground clearance. Is this all the way accross the axle or just right beside the wheels? Really great model, by the way :-) -

I like the idea, especially the steering. Maybe you can implement some of these ribbed hoses for the fake front springs? Its really is hard to get such elegant lines right, especially in that scale.- 17 replies

[TC19] Mondial HPS 125
Jundis replied to Jundis's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for the input, guys! I tried this setup with 16+24 in multiple forms but ended up where I started, the liftarm really is the main reason for the good stability. :-/ I didn't thought of this! Right now, I don't have them in my collection, but will order them and give this a try, thanks for the idea! P.S.: For the Brake Disk -
[TC19] Mondial HPS 125
Jundis replied to Jundis's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
A little update: Already assembled it, just awaiting a few parts in different colours. I completely left out the small fenders above both the wheels, which normaly move with the suspension. The upper part is just fixed with few pins and can be easily removed: The switch and the 4-gears work flawlessly, however the driving chain on the right does not engage well with the old 8 tooth gear and even worse with the new one. I tried different stuff but can't make it work properly... :-/ Opinions highly appreciated :-) -

Congratulations @mpj ! It is really cool, that finally a Technic model reached the 10.000 mark for ideas. Really looking forward to buy this as a set :-) -

Such a beatiful build! Clean lines and looks like everything is just where it belongs, well done! Looks way better than the 42122. Just asking: Why did you use hinges on the fron bumper insteat of axle connectors? Different angle?
