  1. I don't think it would be too much of an effort as there are always first drafts of the model. I remember watching an interview of Markus Kossmann saying they always build different prototypes (scale, colour, functionality) and the settle on one design to polish and make it real. On the other hand, I also agree with @agrof : Comparing two years ago, we already had many pics of the models coming in 6 months, now we only have vague blurred things for a model coming in 3,5 months. The idea of using a big turntable to simulate the twisting of the chassis isn't that bad (or better two turntables as the bending would be too stressful), but given the prelim pic and the position of the motors, I highly doubt this. I just realized, that in the pic, the roof of the cab has no A-pillars, which is really strange, as this will be the first point to lift this thing, while playing with it outdoor. Hope they'll fix it in the final model. Effe's rebuild seems way sturdier.
  2. This is really impressive. The lines are almost perfect. Although, this is more scale modelling than technic isnt it? ;-)
  3. If they really go with the cheap Jeep-solution, I will skip this model completely and get the new wheels on B&P. To have a fixed front axle is 42070 all over again. I kinda get the idea of Lego to go with the sturdiest (mostly the simplest) solution as possible to make it playable for kids. But making a trial truck with 3 axles, I wanne see the suspension working on the ground and axles twisting and turning like this:
  4. Hi Kaurik, sure: Glad you like it :-) I don't plan to do instructions as I am not really good at making them... but I can send you the .io file, if you want?
  5. Lesson 1 in "How to be uncreative": Be a chinese copycat-company. @efferman I hope you can take it as an honor, not an insult.
  6. Holy moly, what a massive build. The ladder really is such a cool feature :-)
  7. So many clever solutions in the usage of given parts, great job! Most impressively, the ripper actually rips the fabric apart!!!!
  8. @HectorMB and @Void_S already mentioned best solution: A gearbox like in 42114 with 4 gears and lowest gear with fixed diffs. 42114 climbs better than 42099 ;-)
  9. Yep. I did a calculation a while ago: Average piece-price of un-motorized sets from the past 3 Years (since 42075) is about 8.20 cents/piece. On the other hand the control+ sets are: 42099: 24,01 c/p 42100: 10,95 c/p 42109: 28,08 c/p 42114: 11,4 c/p 42124: 34,76 c/p Really greatly differs from each other.
  10. This would mean, the Zetros is also fake, as down on the pick we get the glimpse of the cabin... Hats off to Lego if this really is such a plan :-)
  11. Are you working in this machine? I also have it on my "to-moc"-list :D As I just ordered some technic liftarms in green I just wanna warn you: The price will be astronomical for such a thing to build in technic pieces.
  12. Hmm I'd be very disappointed if they use the same principle as in the 42122 rear suspension. A live axle really is a must here. According to the pic it's unlikely, but maybe the left front tire is in the compressed state of the spring? Like going over a bump....? Just wanna spread a glimpse of hope...
  13. Initial thought: "Uh, this will definitely be a nice application for the bigger and smaller sprocket wheel .... WHAAAAAAT!"
  14. Well deserved front-paged :-) Again, I just loved to see this MOC evolving!
  15. Should they be linked together? So if you push/pull one side, all other sides act in the same motion?
  16. In the image of the Zetros, a slight glimpse of the CAT cabin can be spotted showing a yellow 9L liftarm as the roll cage. Using Sariel's scaler and a rather poor blueprint, the whole model should have a length of about 50 studs and a overall width of about 24 studs, tread-to-tread width is 17, with bigger treads maybe 19. The treads in the real model should be 4 studs, but will rather be 5 studs, using the bigger tread pieces.
  17. Looks very smooth :-) Do you have suspension on the rear wheels? The gap between wheel arches and wheels seems to narrow...?
  18. @MajklSpajkl These trucks are just incredible pieces, I can't name a single thing that could be improved on that Tatra Koloss... just insanely good looking...
  19. Thanks guys :-) Totally agree here. If there would be a powered version, I'd definately use the small linear actuators :-)
  20. Again, this is just stunning for a B/C-model... I wonder if TLC will ever come up with an actual A/B-model of a licenced technic car, for example of an old/new version (like the MOC of the 10265 Mustang).
  21. I really did not expect so many C-models (actually B-models) would spawn from the 42122, very nice job! :-)
  22. Thank you so much for the nice comments guys :-) I just use Stud.io, just use the normal CAD-model, delete all the non-mechanical parts and paint the remaining ones in the corresponding colors. Yeah, the rack comes a little bit closer to the gear when oscillating, but this really is neglectable as the angle of the axle is rather tiny. Thanks for this constructive critique! Yeah, this have been just an add-on I did nearly at the end where the cabin looks quite empty... in the real machine there is such a panel behind the joystick. Actually, I might change the layout, angle the panel in the right way and add a fire extinguisher :-)
