  1. There are, just never been used in a technic model: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=42716&idColor=95#T=C&C=95
  2. I can't believe how well this thing works! How would this fare against the wheeled version in trial terrain?
  3. Really cool truck, the event in this video looks more like "Tatra Trial" :D
  4. I think this is according to some guys in the management: "Ah and the technic team is gonna build some technical Bat stuff, too! Ehm ... the ... ehm BatCycle!" Technic Department: *rollseyes*
  5. Hi Micheal and welcome to the forum! Step 42 is the important part: The orientation of the orange gear selector part must be according to the instructions. If it doesn't work, please post a pic of this gearbox with the selector.
  6. I just looked at the list again and searched some pics for the John Deere Skidder. Assuming we get another model with the big grey pneumatic cylinders, the 107 tractor tires would actually fit way better than the smaller 81 tires. I am also curious about the grabber. Maybe with the 90° gear racks?
  7. Actually, I never had any doubt that MOC builders here sort their bricks... I mean we are semi-pro builders! ;-) I added a poll just out of curiosity.
  8. The lower part of the cab seems to be from the 42098, the rest really resembles your build. It's just a shame.
  9. Thanks guys. It actually soothes me a little bit, I am not alone struggling here and there ;-) Funny enough, today I made maybe more progress than the last 2 weeks combined on 2 models, just by freeing my mind, if this makes any sense :D
  10. Hi guys and gals, lately, I find myself lacking in finishing builds. This may be rooted in some big builds, where the following template often occurs: 1. High motivation: Great idea, start with different builds in stud.io and of front axles crucial mechanisms with physical bricks 2. Medium motivation: Ordering of parts for needed test builds, which are already remodelled, so again, new ordering of part 3. Low motivation: Rebuilding again and getting stuck in some areas, sometimes overhauling and going back to phase 2. 4. Medium motivation: Satisfied with most assamblies and functions, still some left undone. 5 High motivation: Finishing touches. Sadly, right now I mostly stuck in phase 2 or 3 of my builds, so I am afraid to start new ones. Rearranging my Stud.io files a while ago, I have the folders "ideas", "finished" and "WIP", while the "WIP" includes now 6 different models. And I'm really unsure, if this is too much... So I am curious how you manage your WIP builds? Only working on one model, finish it, then another one? Or multiple models at once? If so, how much on average? Just checked Sariel, and he also has this problem: Starting multiple models but finishing some years after :D
  11. Nice ideas here, especially the "dead lift" LAs :D Did you try to use wormgears for the dump bed rotation?
  12. It doesn't seem to be much. In recent years, we mostly got an update at the first day or even one day earlier about new models.
  13. But ... but ... where does it dump to? On the chassis of the truck?
  14. Some make a B- or a C-model. @grohl makes models beyond the normal alphabetical letters... :D
  15. There is a string missing to steer :-P
  16. Really cool idea! A side question: How stable is the circle?
  17. This is a magnificant B-Model! I am just baffled, how fast you come up with something so refined... Greatest respect,
  18. Hi @Lego funfair and welcome to the forum! It really depends on the size. The smallest way would be to use the swashplate parts (part 1936, 1937 and 1938) from the set 42145: Bigger models may need the gear rack parts 78442 or 24121:
  19. Looking at the planned entries so far I think we have a slight disparity against the police :D
  20. Implementation of the technic elements under system bricks ist great, and what a massive built this is!
  21. This is waaaay better than the typical 1 drive / 1 steering motor approach! Great way to use the 2 motors power at the same time for propulsion.
  22. This would also go with the ne liftarm frame very well. Could even be in 3x7 or 3x13 for smaller builts.
  23. The thing is, we already had multiple vehicle contests and also a robot contest lately. I think @Jim saves the idea of a legged walker contest for a later TC. It comes down to this:
  24. Very high friction here, there goes you power loss to ;-) I am not a big fan of such substractor gearboxes at all. Could be cool for small build, but here, you only loose power because of friction and complexity. That's why the 42100 has just spur gears and 2 motors for driving. Only thing that wouldn't be a complete overhaul is the usage of the reduction hubs from 42099. Also: I would just use 1 sprocket for driving and the other one as an idler.
  25. Really like the idea, and will try it, when I got this set :-)
