  1. Exactly. Also before nearly every TC we had posts here stating "I already have a cool idea". I know what you mean, still it's just an idea (or in my case four ideas :D), the rules define how a model should be built.
  2. Hmm is this such an advantage in a TC about shrinking? Most models will be rather small anyway...? When somebody makes a TC suggestion, they may already have a certain fitting model in mind
  3. :D I think electronics should be allowed as in most recent contests. Maybe even third party components?
  4. Brilliant B-Model, way better than the original in my opinion. Seeing this, we really need non-IP vehicles back, where the panel usage isn't there for trying to look like the original models. Great job!
  5. One of the funniest sentences I ever read here :DDDD Looks fantastic! Especially the M3 cannon and the .50 cal on top are great with the given parts. Now I wonder if there are enough parts to moc a Pinzgauer out of the model :-P
  6. Really nice color choice! Also the real model looks way better than the cad file ;-)
  7. Hi Volt, maybe you can post some of the pics directly (link to the .jpg / .gif generates the image within your post). For the model: It really resembles the look of the Hotwheels car, but sadly this won't work that much as real model, as it lacks stability. You should start with a stable inner chassis consisting of liftarm and ideally liftarm racks. Especially when you plan to motorize the model, this is a must and you can't rely only on axle connectors... :-/ Just google "chassis moc motorized" and you'll find plenty of inspiration ;-)
  8. Looks very clean! The steering mechanism with the big gears is very unique, never saw this one anywhere else. I'm curious how the cab turns out. The upper part sadly looks a little to "bland" for my taste. In a bigger scale, fender parts would mimic the front way better, e.g. this part upside down:
  9. Also I'm always curious how TLG manages this considering there are already MOCs made by pipasseyoyo and @KirTech LAB
  10. The original suspension set-up is very complex with all the exact dampers and angles. It also relies on torsion bar, which TLG possibly won't to. Edit: Also, these are dampers, not springs in the pic.
  11. Oh yeah, this piece is a real blessing!
  12. As already said in the other thread: Glorious B-model! The only thing (due to available panels and liftarms) is the nose, which looks a little odd. But everythink else is great. Do you have photos or video of the real build?
  13. Exactly my thinking, but hey... they sell ...
  14. I mean this part. Maybe 3x5 L cross beam?
  15. Would be my bet, too. On the same pic, there is a black bent connector on the front which looks like that without the pins:
  16. Saw it too. The engine cover goes off all the way, but while mounted, there are huge gaps, which are most visible from the side view. There is a new shock absorber for center front suspension Can't see the springs in the rear, but there is definitely suspension here. In my opinion, the bodywork is way worse than the Ford GT. The only additional function may be the turning of the steering wheel, which was absent in the Ford GT.
  17. Ah, there she is :D Fantastic promotion shots and nice idea with the transparent BMW rims for displaying the propellor motion!
  18. As you said we won't limit the contest that much, are there at least some criterias to select a model from? Shrinking must be 80% or less of the original size? For example original models with 62.4 tires should be redone with 49.5 tires (79.3%). Studded and studless era allowed?
  19. All 3 types with tractor profile tires: 56x26, 81x35 and 107x44R I already feel the vibe for the shrink a set contest :-P
  20. I both agree with @SaperPL and @howitzer this contest could be re-run, but maybe in 2 or 3 years. As most vehicle builders scale their MOCs to the available wheels, I really liked the limitation in the TC18 with I think only 30 mm rims. Thinking about it: How about a contest with tractor tires only?
  21. Would depend on the quality of the build in the end. Even shrinking the 8880 would be a cool task. The goal should also be "Maintain as much functions as possible"
  22. Coming along nicely! Especially the green colour! Hopefully the upcoming John Deere Skidder will lower the prices of standard liftarms...
