  1. Oh yes please! Some years ago I started a MOC in Arocs scale but never finished it. Hmm could be a nice idea for a new MOC... :-)
  2. Only concern I have right now is the placement of the pneumatic switches. Seems like hard to reach when the boom is retracted all the way.
  3. First of: Does it count as double post if the these are 3 months apart? As we already know the models from this year, I'd like to speculate further into 2024. I actually expected two models which didn't come and hopefully be present in next years line-up: - Truck with 49,5 tires (Logging truck for example) - Agricultural machine with medium sized tractor tires for steering axles and big ones for drive (regular field tractor, combine harvester or even backhoe) Also it's time for another boat, the last ones were: 2018: 42076 2019: 42089 2020: 42105 2021: 42120 Nothing in 2022 and 2023... maybe they didn't sell that well?
  4. Again, great alternative! Keep 'em coming :-)
  5. @allanp makes a valid point here regarding us as long-term fans who may have the components available. But such a big model in my opinion need multiple motors and remote control, without it, it would be pointless. Even to push such a model doesn't really do the trick. Same goes for 42100, 42131 and the typical RC-models (42124, 42129, 42140). The idea of add-on motorization of non-drive functions for medium-sized models (42053) is great. With the new counterweight pieces, I'm looking forward to a mobile crane with around 1000...1500 pieces and dumb battery box in 2024.
  6. This model turned out way better than I first thought! Will surely get this :-)
  7. The tires from the Zetros (81 mm instead of the 75 you have right now) should fit way better here.
  8. Funny video I found about the real car. Seems like TLG again choose a car which isn't a champion, similar to the 42141 McLaren, which only finished 5th place in the constructors championsship.
  9. I think it is a good thing to bring forth some ideas here. But you are right, too many discussion and too many different ideas for constraints may blur the contest before it even started.
  10. As the last contest is done, can you give us a glimpse about the follow-up @Jim ? ;-)
  11. Ouch Can please somebody with more knowledge about printing tell me, why TLG don't Prinz on transparent foil?
  12. First of: Thanks for the work you put in here! What I find curious is this pic of the front axle If we zoom in a bit, the hubs aren't held in place by pins but axles? IMHO this looks like they used the perpendicular connector instead of the 3L liftarm
  13. Considering you want functions, I recommend the 42139 and 42128. Also the upcoming 42157 looks very promising.
  14. Could also be a normal axle connector. I see normal wheel hubs. But for the front axle, they are only secured by axles and not pins? Would be kind of wobbly imho...
  15. Dito. The 3x19 would be too long for the articulation of the rear part. So far I see new parts: - Bent Grapple Arms in Yellow - A-frame in Black Newly coloured parts: - 3x7 panel in green - 3x5 L-shaped flip flop liftarm in green
  16. Not bad! Only thing is, the wheels seem to bent a bit, even in the promo pics...
  17. Really nice! Actually I nearly have no real complaints! Overall size fits, even though the wheel width maybe is a tiny bit to wide. Everything looks clean, nearly no blue pins visible. Colour consistency is great, too. We got 2 strong diffs, which is just cool from TLG as they aren't needed here. We have 4 new grey 2x11 cylinders and 1x11 cylinder for the grabber. The pneumatic switches seem a little hard to reach, but maybe this is just due to perspective. The A-frame is perfectly placed here. I am curious, how the blade actuation works, hopefully pneumatic, too. Just pendular suspension on the front axle like in the real world model. *Edit: No winch? :-/
  18. We should see them pretty soon :-) Also I wonder we get new special wheels with the Mars Rover:
  19. Wait, this is the set everybody lost their minds about This is not downsizing, this is crippling. Maybe TLG want's us to buy 3 sets and then get at least the boom length right... I mean I understand some decisions: Sprockets were raised to avoid the buckling, which could lead to tipping over. But why are the proportions so strange here?
  20. Puh, and I already thought you are fed up with our critic :D What ever the future contests will be, I'm looking forward to them :-)
  21. Then use a towball (6628 or 2736) with a steering arm (31794) :-)
  22. Isn't there a problem with steering here? The tires barely seem to fit... There are multiple solutions depending on the height of the hitch. As you seem to have a limited selection of parts and the trailer isn't too heavy, you can use two ellipse shaped liftarms from the John Deere model in this manner:
  23. Good points: But I guess sets for 10€ or even 20€ for everybody would lead to very similar B-models. Maybe Jim selects 2 or 3 currently available models in small to medium range (1000 pieces max). This would also prevent the "early starters" problem mentioned before.
  24. The neon eyes are great :D Would be surely a podium if not winner for a "B-model" contest, great job, Milan!
