  1. Yeaa I realized that after I had posted, in that clip the seat isnt all the way back and the steering wheel is sitting as low as it will go. If you watch the frame edit on YouTube (tagged in my first post) you'll see that the seat slides and tilts and the steering wheel moves up and down a fair bit
  2. Maybe I should, I might post up a pic later just for the fun of it haha! The steering wheel is adjustable and over building it's been moved up, down and all over the place. So some WIP progress pics it might look out of place but it does sit properly!
  3. Looks good! If you have too much toe in it might be causes by different length control arm to steering linkage or the steering linkage isn't in like with the wheel hubs, both will cause toe in. Have a look at 42037 front suspension and you'll see what I mean. Hopefully this makes sense
  4. Looks like it will be jammed with features (literally speaking) you've been making some awesome progress! seeing as you can only do soo much in Lego I'd I say leave the engine nacelles alone, they look fine to me but also once you get the remaining bodywork on I'm sure they'll look proper!
  5. Thanks, that whole door area was way tougher to figure out than I thought but it works awesome! Thanks Technic Addict, hopefully it lives up to your cosmetic standards! I do plan on doing a GTR in the future but not this one ! And not quite that car but something along those lines yes!
  6. Just a quick update on the bodywork, doors/roof/hood are done(ish) and it's time to start finalizing the rest of the body which is starting to take shape! Ps this is still in very rough stages and a long way from being completed so nothings really permanent just yet. Also I'm sure you'll notice the doors are flush and have quite the unique door hinge set up! I've added a link to the video in my original post!

  8. I was looking into this recently as well, one thing I noticed was due to shifting options there's no easy way to motorize a 5+R gearbox. I settled for a four speed forward but wasn't happy with any gearboxes I came across and made my own compact four speed with a modified version of Didumos 90Β° limiter. However I'd have to say I have about the same issue Sheepo has with the driving/shifting rate, it's not perfect unfortunately. Your best bet for sequential is a four speed or if you'd like to get fancy an 8 speed due to the limitations of Lego shifting capabilities! Unfortunately I don't have ldd of my shifter otherwise I'd say try it out.

  11. Thanks, I've always liked the smaller motors. They're a little more accurate than the actual engines that Lego produces! Correct the pneumatics are being used as race jacks like most gt cars have and uses a remote pump.
  12. You were correct, that was the extension cord pre run from the front to back for the headlights. Seeing as I only have one Buwizz I thought it would be fun to have a nice mix of both motorized and manual functions (like the flush mounted doors I came up with ).
  13. Looks awesome, sure the scaling might be a little off but it just looks amazing! The colour coding of everything is perfect and it performs really well for it's size, keep it up :) I look forward to the next one

  15. Ah now I understand what you're getting at! For me I use the scaler and to help me keep the scaling and size I make stud lengths in lift arms to make sure everything is correct. I use them to measure the length between the wheels, the height of the roof etc. Another part I've found helpful is making interior dimensions slightly smaller than they're supposed to be to help give you more room for connectors that will be holding the bodywork together. Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying the build so far :)! I've tried Ldd but when I got halfway through my gearbox and realized they didn't have certain pieces I needed I gave up. So unlike most I build directly with Lego which means a lot of trial and error and tearing apart to get at one little piece that needs to be changed. I'm not too sure about the AML part but I figured keeping it simple is better and everyone knows what a racecar is ;). I know what you mean about studless, I grew up with lego and a very short supply of it especially the Lego technic side of things. Recently a year and a half ago my brother LoxLego reintroduced me to Lego and I had to relearn all together in studless. But give it a shot and you'll be surprised how naturally it comes to you, there's almost a piece for everything you need and it's not nearly as scary or as difficult as it seems. The eternal joy of knowing you were right ;)! Ahh very observant! I was thinking of it but opted to leave the final slot open for lights (wiring is already run through the chassis for them). Leaving the rear wing tilt manual.

Good guess with the Vulcan, I was considering it but I just love the gt3 style astons! Thanks Didumos, I was thinking the same thing but it is so far tucked away I'll have to get some pics during the teardown. A break down basics of the gear box is the 8880 gearbox, Gearing reconfigured and shifted using short linkage arms with a very modified version of your stepper squeezed into the centre console along with the m-motor powering it all. I hope that makes sense?! I also had inspiration for the robust framework from your awesome hammerhead build ;) You're very right about Astons not being Awd but this being 4.7 pounds in framework I added Awd early on to help with the driving. I figure by the time I'm done it'll be around 6+ and that's a lot of weight to be pushing via the rear wheels. I'll give you a hint about keeping the measurements when building, Sariels scaler ( http://scaler.sariel.pl)! It's a life savor! I've always liked the technical rawness of a cars framework, you get to see all the details and what's going on behind the scenes. The adjustment for the spoiler will be run to where this cars fuel cap will be so it'll probably change and be covered up but that's the basic idea! Thanks lox, and thanks for all the help and drive to build these cars and building them right. Huge shout out to my bro for always helping me out when needed and the master behind the awesome pics and video for my builds, I wouldn't be able to do it without you b! Both good guesses, Bentley would probably be pretty fitting especially with a w12 motor and Awd but VKTechnic got it dead on. It'll be an Aston Martin racecar gt3

  18. Unfortunately no, good guess but not it. However my boss did write one off while racing haha :p Thanks Technic addict, it does look massive however amazingly in scale to the car I'm doing ;)! Good guess as pagani always uses v12s however never in a front engine configuration. Thanks Jeroen, it drives quite well! It's the first gearbox I've gotten to work properly especially with drive/size of the build. The video has been updated with driving at the end, we got lucky with weather clearing up got a quick shot or two in despite the snow ;). Thanks Leonardo, it drives great and you can check out the updated video with driving at the end. I guess you'll have to keep guessing then! Thanks AI, I've spent a lot of time and detail in building this creation so far. I really hope you enjoy the bodywork as much as the framework! I like your thoughts as well but you answered your own question, audi doesn't make a v12 ;) good guess. Thanks! Xls are definitely the way to go with builds thuis size!
  19. I've been starting on the bodywork and have added a quick clip of a flush mounted door mechanism. I'll periodically add bits until it's done, enjoy (Above pic is a link to video) This is my current supercar WIP. It has fully independent suspension, torsion bar, cantilevered front, typical rear, and sway bars. steering with attached steering wheel one servo, drive 2x XL, custom miniature V12 engine on an AWD chassis with a remote driven four speed sequential gearbox powered by an M motor. Race jacks with remote compressor, adjustable rear wing, tilt steering wheel, pedals with feedback, adjustable with single lever tilt and slide seats.   21. Oh I never got that piece of paper with mine. Just a glossy square buwizz logo the size of the box, unless it was tucked away underneath everything.
  22. Thanks LXF, I probably shouldn't have skipped over the one piece of paper that came with it haha ?! On the other hand I noticed it go green before turning off so in that case mine was fully charged and quickly to.
  23. I'm not too sure either but when my light went off I figured that meant it's done charging, can anyone clarify this?
  24. This is just a thought and it may be a bit obvious but have you made sure your Bluetooth and WiFi are on and have you set up your bluetooth to be seen by other devices and vise versa? On another note I'm curious of people's charge times with the Buwizz? Mine charged in 15-20min using a fast phone charger (charges my LG G4 in a little over a half hour to a 100%)
