DugaldIC replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ahh true, I didn't think that through! Oh my, best of luck -
WIP Tesla S 100P
DugaldIC replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Just a thought but to keep it on the same scale could you eliminate the suspension and make it direct power at the rear wheels and only one u/cv joint at the front eliminating a lot of the drivetrain lash? I know it eliminates the suspension but it would keep your performance and scale, hopefully! -
[WIP] project C.O.R.E.
DugaldIC replied to agrof's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
No matter how it's built you do it your way! I'm just excited to see the outcome and what you come up with, definitely a cool interesting build -
Just to give you a heads up, it will probably be two weeks away at least before teardown photos can begin! I have to get some footage first and both Lox and I being away this weekend we won't have time to film, so once we get some footage we can start the teardown ;) thanks in advance!

WIP Tesla S 100P
DugaldIC replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'm very intrueged by this build and i look forward to seeing the progress! -
Thanks, I personally prefer it to the Porsche as there's no awkward gape everywhere ! That as well, it definitely would've been hard breaking up that iconic grill! I've never thought of either of those, I guess I've never really thought of them but they definitely have their own unique features that would add to a build! Maybe someday. I've thought about it for sure, I probably will on future builds, what I did on this car isn't too fat off from what race Astons have besides the lack of Ackerman steering and use of torsionbar to get away with one spring per wheel. I always enjoy working out those kinds of things so depending on the build I'll definitely try to add in according suspension! I was thinking the same thing, I prefer them to R32s! Thanks, if you do plan on building it I'd love to hear what you think! Me neither lox, it's going to be a nightmare but we got this !

[MOC] VW Golf GTI MkI
DugaldIC replied to damjan97PL's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is awesome, you managed to capture the boxy body very well and I love all the little added overlooked details, like the cowel and stripe down the side! Very well done -
Thanks, I'm actually very surprised you're the first person to catch onto that. I prefer the hood opening forward though like on the One 77 and was part of my decision to have to flip forwards instead! I don't have a list per say but I do have a mental note of vehicles I love and would like to build at somepoint, I'm thinking of doing a Nissan skyline R32 or R34 gtr in HOG as my first ever manual model next... Possibly! Maybe, if he has any good suggestions I'd definitely consider ! Well thanks, I'm glad you've noticed the progression in my builds, this is the first time I ever properly sat down and took my time with a model and I'm glad it payed off! There will be plenty more builds to come, I just hope I can keep up the same level on all my following builds

Thanks, that front end was a nightmare but I finally got it ! Thanks, I'm glad you like it but there's no need to go talking to them on my behalf. From what I understand the Lego car blog people are on eurobricks all the time and aren't a fan of follower suggestions. It was a nice thought though.

Why thank you! It seems a lot of people can't talk right now, I hope everything's okay ! Thanks, the front windscreen seems to be a issue for some. However any structure added to it would take away from the looks, the roof is so strongly secured fo the roof support I didn't find haveing bracing at front add any real benefit! What is it that you're working on? Thanks, it'll be cool to have something I created being made all over the world! I hope it looks fitting among your collection !

[WIP] Isetta - restart
DugaldIC replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Jurss lmao do it, it'll be the first 1/2 scale Lego technic build ever created -
This is awesome, a very clever build indeed. I especially like how the whole thing transitions into flying mode so smoothly!

Platinum Supercar (wip)
DugaldIC replied to Aventador2004's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I would also like to see you step up your builds a bit, try to copy something. Pick a car that's close in size and try to mimic it's bodwork/shape ! -
[WIP] Isetta - restart
DugaldIC replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Oh what an ugly little car (the real one, at least haha) I look forward to seeing how everything comes together on this moc of yours though! The only tires I can think of which are skinnier are motorcycle wheels but then you would have a very very large Isetta ! -
Thanks Sariel! It's funny you mention that car as I was considering it before the GT3, it won't be my next build but definitely a future project! Thanks, and thanks for your help/support along the way! I'm glad you like it, I'm curious to see it up on the wall next to the rest of your amazing mocs!

Thanks so much Jeroen, I'm glad you're pleased with the finished product. I feel the same way you do and I feel everyone has their own build style! Mine may not be everyone's ideal style but it's how I build. Also this is my first big project and first scaled car so I still have loads to learn ! Also you'll see above that I addressed a few of meatmans concerns if you're curious! I will be doing so in the video footage for the car! I do like the chassis and hence my full video and pictures of just the framework ! Hopefully you haven't lost your voice for too long haha! Thanks! Thanks Didumos, that means a lot. Did it shape up better than you had thought after seeing the framework? Unreal Milan, I'm ecstatic! Thank you soo much, I'm honoured !! Haha thanks, and just before you could post Milan has made it HOF incredible! I'm glad you were enjoying the WIP as much as I had! Wow thank you, I'm in awe of all the kinda comments from all the big dogs on Eurobricks! I'm glad you like it! It's been a very long build process (for me at least, framework more so than bodywork) so I'm glad to see my efforts payed off in playing close attention to the shape and detail of the vehicle! I wouldn't ask but am very honoured that Thorsten has offered! Incredible, thanks Thorsten! I'll keep you posted with the teardown progress, you rock! Why thank you Attika! I worked very hard to get the shaping right, and amazingly only scaled the basics like height, length, width and roof position almost everything else I freehanded and built by eye, which amazingly payed off and everything is very close to how it's supposed to be however still a huge shout out to @Sariel and his scaler was a life saver making sure i had everything in place while building the framework!

Haha thanks, that would be an honour! Thanks! I appreciate your praise and your concern. To help clarify a few things for you, the front windshield area no matter how many times I tried to add support to it, it never looked right however the roofline is very strong and doesn't change shape or move (thanks to the roof support I secured it to which is very strongly secured to the chassis) it's actually the easiest ways to pick the car up, the small engine has multiple reasons as well but Aston actually makes very compact V12s and it's sitting very closely positioned to the real car (Notice how the engine starts around the front strut towers). Also it may not look like it but everything is connected for the most part much better than you would think, almost all panels are locked solid in place however to keep with the very clean lines there are few exceptions. Thanks ! I don't like to think I'm competition to anyone as everyone has their own style but I'm very honoured you'd compare me to such likes as Crowkillers, so thank you, I'm very glad you like it!

DugaldIC replied to jantjeuh's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You would be correct, it's technically Speaking the same plaza ! -
Looks awesome @Didumos69, so smooth and fluid. I'd really like to build it at some point, maybe build a HOG model from it (as the crowds gasp in horror, Dugald, manual, noooo ) definitely one of the cleanest/refined shifters I've seen!

I just double checked his old thread and it was also 6.5, seems to be common weight for us at cars this size ! But yes it does have a battery box.

Na that's alright, just for reference though. It was similar size with a lot less packed into it and it was still 5+ pounds. That was all!

A lot of bricklink orders or you can always get the wheel arches and 3x11 orange curved panels from Lego themselves. I have a feeling I used more orange than the Porsche provides.
