  1. Well I for one am very glad to see all the interest in this build. I personally think lox out did himself on this one and as for the stacked beams that were used heavily, I've found there's a time and a place for every style of build! It may not be the most correct (or legal) way to build Lego but I do belive this is the only way to follow the crazy curves of that car. ;)
  2. Ahhh okay, now that makes perfect sense. I noticed when I set up torsion bar properly (or well corrected it still wasn't perfect) on the fxx it raised the front from its slouched location that it was used to sitting. As for the cv joints I've noticed they're a bit of a weak point and tend to pop out if put under stress, one thing I've found that help this issue on the front is Gearing down ( when using the servo) or limiting the turning radius like the Porsche although preferably not as much as they did :p
  3. I'm still in the process of trying to figure out what's going on the rear but whatever it is it's working perfectly! I also like how similar the front and rear suspension are, the only issue I forsee is tweaking the ride height by pre compressing the springs with torsion may be a little much for the axles to take but I guess we'll find out soon enough. Looking good though
  4. @didumos69 (no idea if that's how you tag someone in a comment lol, still trying to figure out all of eurobricks details) I like your thinking, torsion bars at great and utilizing a sway bar as torsion is quite clever. Actually the first car I ever did torsion bar on was an open wheel Ferrari that had no suspension and I didn't have any shocks so I managed to do a cantalievered torsion bar set up with no springs. Now I'm trying to encorperate all three torsion, springs, anti roll bar and 4wd to boot just because. As for your curiosity, no leaks yet but possibly a few teasers once the suspension and framework is done ;)
  5. Oh my that's getting quite intricate but it looks great! I like the sway bars as well, I'm currently trying to fit some into my next build after I saw them on Jorens Ferrari.
  6. Looks great Paul! Tons of detail and curves on top of a very robust and functional chassis. Definitely some of your best works yet! :)
  7. Looking good technic addict! The red definitely stands out in comparison to the black :)
  8. Looking good Didumos! I'm looking forward to the rest of this coming together, especially to see how you work in your new sequential ideas.
  9. All I can do is add to the general consensus , it looks great and works well. I especially like your solution for the front wheels with drive and steering ;)
  10. Looks good, a solid little unit! I really like all the little attachments and how the all seem to function smoothly :) well done!
  11. These are awesome little guys, I feel like they should be part of a Lego technic advent calender :p. Now to make small, medium and then large scales of each model.
  12. So if you use an s brick would it be better? I'm curious about the buwizz that's coming out, seems like a good idea to me
  13. Very futuristic design, well aside from the suspension which is very 70s of f1, that really is quite the colour to be working with too! Oh how I need to get my hands on one of those buggy motors, or two haha. How do you like using the 9v battery adapter? Does it last long and power the motors properly?
  14. My email is dubbie_14@hotmail.com, a nickname I got when I was 14 because no one could pronounce Dugald haha
  15. Thanks Thorsten, your solution for the red rear wing looks great! I look forward to seeing you finish this off in red, it'll be great to see it in actual Lego and a different colour. Also I tried to pm you a while back with no response, have you been having issues with that your inboxes?
  16. This is awesome, looks great and with an awesome list of functions! Mr T would be pleased haha
  17. Thorsten seeing as you've done so much for my brother and I getting these instructions done, it's the least I can do :)
  18. I think it would be doable with a few minor adjustments, tweaks and like you say a few pieces that you just can't get in white. I'd like to try though.
  19. Thorsten this is great, I hope my framework wasn't too hard to figure out haha! I'm excited to rebuild this at some point soon, maybe in white. You're right, however if you plan on doing one in red I'm sure you can come up with a solution for the odd panel and maybe post so others have an idea of what to do if they wish to follow the red?
  20. This goes above and beyond! It looks amazing and everything functions so smoothly while being tucked away to the point you don't even realize it's motorized, well done!
  21. Omg, I just went through all 154 pages and everything looks amazing! Such organized and detailed instructions, you've really out done yourself and I can't wait to build this in red!! :D
  22. Thorsten, you've really out done yourself and I can't thank you enough. I can't wait to see the final product :D
  23. I'm with Didumos69 on this one, it's coming along nicely and I can't wait to see where you take it!!
