Working car clutch
Bart replied to Tamas Juhasz's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You don't disengage the gearbox from the wheels, you need the rotations of the gears to make a smooth change, or that is how I understood it. I mean your car doesn't have a clutch there either, you only take the power (engine) of. I do like your clutch design, very clever how its not making any friction when disengaged. bart -
I actually hit F5 two times, what an amaizing build.

I actually like the Mini best.

a bridge?, which opens to let pass a boat, (or another train if that is more easier. although an opening bridge might be anough of a challenge for a moc of its own.

Tracked problems
Bart replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
hmm I scrolled past the post where you sad you had already solved it my bad. you got me curious how you solved it though, but I'll have to wait until you'll reveal that. And I do agree with you, if you want to copy something its no fun when you cut corners. Bart -
Tracked problems
Bart replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think the problem is that your tracks have to much grip on the surface. Driving in a straight line doesn't give a problem. because both tracks roll. But turning, (one track moving the other not. requires the track to slide sideways, then it gives to much friction on all those wheels at the bottom and the track does not want to roll any more. Can you try it on something like... sand? or change the track from this rubbery thing to the hard plastic one. Bart -
great collection of crew you've got there, its obvious you have put some time and research into it. Bart

nice build, wonderfull idea of using the foil, and the 'stamps' of lego in it to make it look like a pile of lego gold
