    I love your hammocks !
  7. She's finished :O I already forgot about this one, sorry. I have to say it turned out really good :D I also like the showcase you've build. makes me wish I had an office to put something like that in :P Bart
  8. I love this creation Sebeus, even with the simple rigging, or maybe because of the simple rigging, It fits the ship, in a positive way. It looks very properly build with a good eye for lines and proportions. Bart
  9. really looking forward to see you continue this build, It is already very promising so far. Bart
  10. very nice
  11. my oldest and first set is 6509 Red Devil Racer, from 1991 Bart
  12. just amazing
  13. it feels like ages that I've been on here myself, and I feel very lucky that I came back during a time that you started a new build in your technique, I certainly will be following your build. It's already amazing to see that your bare hull is floating so good, and still with some space to spare to increase the draft, as weight adds. I would love to see an experiment if she floats when you finish her. My personal expectation is that it will sink, but still curious. about the shape, when you lengthened the design did you lengthen the space between all the frames? or only in the midsection? and from the stern view it looks to me like she has belly enough. I'm really looking forward to the continuing of this build Bart
  14. This is some sad news. As far as I found out, the ship was 200 miles away from the hurican. From my profesional background i can say that that was the best they could have done. these huricanes, although it might not look like it on the news, are very unpredictable and suddenly. Even more if you compare it with the speed a ship can go out of its way, I don't think the bounty can make more then ten knots. So if they would have found out it would hit them in two days they could only get away this much. But if your pumps fail you can even sink in a pond, but a hurican doesn't rally help then. And it is true that ships are safer at sea then in port. Ride out the waves, rather then have the waves smack you countles times against the docks or even lift the ship up onto the shore. (plenty of pictures from yachts on the shores) But if the latest news is the facts about the freak waves, then it also expalains all the top mast gone and the ship floating on its side with air traped inside. Even modern steel ships are sunk by freakwaves in this modern times. I do hope they can salvage the ship. Bart
  15. browser Google chrome, I follow the regular updates. screen. 1280/800 internet, cable connection, I don't know about the speed.
  16. She looks amazing, Great work, I've been watching this topic for so long now, and yet i can't wait to see it finished, But don't let me rush you but is it the camera angle, does the collor play tricks on me or is your Topmast taller then your lowermast?. or is this supposed to be so? It just looks a bit out of proportion to me. I mean the distence between deck to top, and top to crosstrees Bart

    Rocks & Shoals

I would love to see another game go on. And have a look on the improvements on the rules, I still remember the discussion about that.. Unfortunatly I still don't have a MOC of my own to participate Bart
  18. A few years ago a aircraft crazy friend of mine pointed me on this marvousless aircraft. And back then I tried to build it in LDD. Today I came across that file and decided to finish it. The Sukhoi PAK FA is a Russian Stealth Multipurpose Fighter currently being tested. Also known under the name Sukhoi T-50. There are quit a few pictures and artist impressions around the web but they are not all the same. So I based my model primairely on this picture: click even more screen shots on my flickr; Click Let me know what you think Bart
  19. I don't know about the advantages or disadvantages with waterline versus full hull models. but that is also not really my reason for replying here. Can somebody point me in the direction of this new technique of Perfectionist, I've read some notes about it here and there, but I can't seem to find the post. I've been away from EB for a wile so I missed a bit :( Bart
  20. wow amazing ships. I kind of fall in love with this kind of action scenes. They seem so much more difficult to build that 'just' a ship (not saying that building a ship is easy). It looks so much alive, like it is a snapshot of a real battle. The heel of the ship looks real, like it truly is caused by the wind. The smoke and fire. the white wash around the ships. Bart
  21. Hello, I intended to make a start on something totally different but ended up not having any inspiration. so I put some bricks together and looked what I ended up with. So here is an Oil platform on transport, being towed by two tugs. I know it may not be the best moc ever posted on here or built by me. But I thought it was funny and original enough to be posted. My appologies for the red background though. And after seeing the pictures I think the helicopter is way to big. Bart
  22. It would be easier to use gunpowder.. did anyone ever even think about trying that? Bart ((turning a barrel out of steel on the lathe machine should be do-able))
  23. Done, pretty extensive this one. Although as with all the tests, sometimes the answer best suitable wasn't there. :/ always nice to see that long list of lego related websites I do not know ;) Bart
  24. Nice vignette :D And just so you know, the job still exists :) the guy drives a VW-transporter nowadays though, but he still comes every year asking if we needs anything sharpened. Bart
