  1. I was desperately searching for a Twister reference I could use as a response or comment, but couldn't think of any really good ones besides: If this already isn't in a sequel scene, it should be! That, or: Great MOC by the way!
  2. Spongebob had a good run in LEGO way back when, but the actual show is dying a slow death, with the movies getting stranger the more they make. Example: Stephan Hillenburg said they would never make a young SpongeBob show like the Muppet baby's. But when the creator died, suddenly Kamp Koral is produced.Aalso Nickelodeon has also said as long as there're on the air, there will be a Spongebob show being made. If LEGO went back to Spongebob, it wouldn't be good like it was before, But I digress... If ANYTHING needs to come out of a Lego / Nickelodeon partnership, it would Avatar - the Last Airbender. I'm not one for anime (or whatever it is), but even I can see it got shafted back in 2006 with two mediocre sets.
  3. They haven't been revealed yet. There is no way we would have that info yet.
  4. The 2001 Dinosaurs theme says hello! Those brick built dinos were something ever Dr. Frankenstein would abhor. (in my opinion!)
  5. @TheBrickPal "something Wicked this way comes..." would have been a good opener for this topic. Just saying you missed out on this opportunity! anyway: If it's got the train in it from the trailer, I won't complain. I might even buy it.
  6. To put it into perspective: the original 5935 Island Hopper was only 205 parts (figure parts included) back in 2000, and the 76947 Quetzalcoatlus Plane Ambush from Jurassic World 2022 was 306 parts including the dinosaur and figs. So a good plane set with 314 parts is possible if you include a few more figs and another animal than 76947. Just my thoughts.
  7. I'm excited, but I'm also tempering that excitement. If it turns out when we see official pictures to be everything I've ever wanted, then I'll get excited. Text-based descriptions are almost always inaccurate in some way and even preliminary pictures can be deceiving! I don't want my imagination running away from me and then be sad when the theme doesn't live up to my dreams.
  8. I'm gonna quote Indiana jones here: It belongs in a museum! ....no really, this should be a exhibit on clocks or a science / children's museum somewhere as it's too beautiful to ever disassemble!
  9. Happy days are here again! (My wallet is already begging for mercy because of sets I haven't even seen yet...)
  10. Not much longer now - Old train engine shed is so nearly sold out, I can't discern any visible space left on the bar with my computer monitor. EDIT: 1 hour later and it's gone!
  11. Temporary changes to PAB as read about on New Elementary. It's not good news, but it shouldn't last long. New parts should be up mid-March. (cross your fingers that that actually happens!)
  12. Happy 10th Anniversary to the original LEGO Movie! ...I feel old just saying that.
  13. Agreed. Totally unfair.
  14. correct. They don't sell the Magazines with the packs here. They never have.
  15. Octainber is in October usually. And I am confident 2023 will not get one, considering it's 2024 now!
  16. It's been over a year and and a quarter, but it's FINALLY finished! Check out the first post for more pictures!
  17. One of them appears to be Tarzan, which Disney lost the rights to use a while back... not sure who the other person is. It almost looks like Kim Possible from the Disney channel TV show of the same name, but that wouldn't make sense.
  18. Here, let me find my jaw as I seem to have dropped it! This is absolutely amazing... mere words do not do it justice. I will say I love the castle with a train track running through it!
  19. I command this thread to arise from the dead! ...So I ordered this Fire Station for Christmas back in November 2023, then promptly forgot where I put the parts bin. Fast forward to today, when I found it and finally started building it. The ground floor you see is Phase 1. Phase 2 (the second level) will start tomorrow afternoon. Phase 3 (roof and doors for firetruck bay) will be Wednesday. Thanks to my brother for saving my backside - one of 16x16 DBG plates I had ordered for the upper floors was heavily warped (not sure how that happened) - and he has decided to graciously give me one of his to replace it. Thanks bro! Thoughts?
  20. This is simply fantastic! I didn't think it was possible to do this, but you've done it! However, it NEEDS a sound effect brick of the noise she makes when leaving / arriving. (Unless River Song put the brakes off again...) That's all I have to say, can't think of anything more except... GERONIMO!
  21. Thanks @Yperio_Bricks! sorry for the late reply! So wrote another story for my detective, who now has the CMF Noir Detective outfit, but the same IJ hat / hair as before. 'It's over Joe! Turn yourself in!' I screamed into the desolate train yard. Of course, no response. He knew what awaited him back at the penitentiary - the electric chair was a sweet release compared to the desolate inhuman solitude of permanent solitary confinement that awaited him. Suddenly, a movement to my right caught my eye - it was Joe, running away at full speed, bounding over switch handles and jumping rails like a scared jackrabbit in the darkness of the witching hour. I hopped in my Model T to catch up with him at full tilt, almost tearing out my suspension in the process. I grumbled to myself about sending the Feds a bill for car repairs, when I heard a lonesome wail of a steam whistle. 'So THAT'S his game!' I said to no one in particular. 'He's gonna hop a freight!' I headed for the sound, when into my headlights came a sight I'll never forget. Jailbreak Joe came to a skidding halt, trying to get close enough to the engine to hop on the front deck of the loco as it sped past. Only problem was he hit an oil patch, invisible in the darkness. He went tumbling into the path of the loco, knocking himself out in the process by hitting his head of a rail. I tried to pull him clear while the train went into emergency, whistle shrieking like a banshee all the while. Simply put, I was too late to save Joe...
  22. Nice job, they remind me of the Oliphant from Lord of the Rings. Maybe Dali inspired Tolkien, or visa-versa?
  23. I love the use of Insectoids legs on the station @Toastie!
  24. Modular buildings and WV release too close together for this to happen. Also, a WV modular would eat into profits of a regular modular (if they even released one that year) and you would also make both WV and modular fans unhappy with it fitting into neither product collection. If you think the backlash for the Toy Shop re-release was bad, this would be WAY worse! So, yeah: not gonna happen, sorry!
