  1. Not a fan of the wheelarches, but the rest is beautiful , the blue color suits it really well. Hoping to see progress soon!
  2. In my experience , Ni-Zn batteries are very good. Delivering 1'6V each , you can use all PF range without problems and with more power. I have these batteries , but to make them work , you need to get a new type of AA battery box ( bright green LED instead of lime) otherwise, it won't work unless the thermal protection is removed.
  3. Welcome to Eurobricks! Lego 9V motors are actually 12V motors , not sure about the PF receiver. If you need any info on lego electrics/electronics , the best place is Philo's page
  4. Finally being on vacations , found time to build this bot ( 3-4 hours approx.) Luckily I decided to re-read the rules , because I thought that the entry time already had ended Video will come later this weekend. Blood, bare bones and greeny skin - this is "Monsta" For some reason the images are gone , but you still can see them here: http://bricksafe.com/pages/LXF/monsta
  5. My problem with the IR receivers is that a buggy motor is too much for them . You get 5 minutes of play , but then the receiver overheats and you have to let it cool down . I think one of my receivers broke due to that
  6. Very interesting , will wait for a test of the cheap ones . I guess after a bit of cutting , sanding and glueing it would be possible to make a case for that motor from an empty PF housing. ( PF M-motor cut down to 4 studs would work since there's plenty of space for a wire inside)
  7. I had a choice between NXT 2.0 and 8043, and got NXT . Big mistake. I don't use my NXT (too bulky ,heavy and the programming software doesn't work) and now in search of cheap enought 8043
  8. +1 about weird vehicles -> Colin Furze and Edd China could be inspiration for models.
  9. Yes and I need a second one I was lucky to get it in the old motor set , before it got discontinued
  10. I've been doing some burnouts BuWizz + buggy motor burnout by Alaxaf, on Flickr
  11. I've tried restarting my device and BuWizz several times , cleaned cache data ... no success. Also , the update always starts when I start using the BuWizz , not when it connects, so I can use it, but for a limited amount of time. Sony Xperia M4 Aqua , Android 5.0
  12. I've been experimenting with my BuWizz , Buggy motor and lego tires ... here's the result: (all the black rubber pieces are from the tires ) Lego tires burnout >:D by Alaxaf, on Flickr 2017-04-07_08-46-55 by Alaxaf, on Flickr
  13. Wow , amazing tightly packed MOC! The arm mechanism is very satisfying to watch , I can image the amount of time spend on it's development
  14. So , after a happy succesful start I found myself with a firmware update problem. I was testing a chasssis when an update screen suddently came up , but the update never happened ( it has been with that screen for 5 hours straight) Any help? Stuck :/ by Alaxaf, on Flickr
  15. I don't think a new thread is required for this , use already existing topic for this better , like "General part discussion" or even "Technic Pub"
  16. I've uploaded photos on my Flickr: BuWizz!!! by Alaxaf, on Flickr
  17. Mine did that too , but that doesn't mean it's fully charged. Read the paper that came with brick and you will find out that : the LED is green means that it is fully charged , LED orange -> charging. You need to turn it on to see the light
  18. Mine arrived today I can write an extensive review , but the most important things is : Burnouts with Buggy Motor on slow mode!!! The box is amazing , the build quality is 5/5 Controlling something from a touch screen turned out more difficult than I thought , physical contact really is missing I've tested it on Sony Xperia M4 Aqua running Android 5.0
  19. Today received my DHL tracking number, can't wait to test with a few designs I've made
  20. Egor explained in the video that you need to send your apple id to the developers team and they will let you download the app.
  21. "Eprius" bass boosted beach roadster: gallery 5-speed gearbox (courtesy of ZBLJ) supercharged v8 HOG + working steering wheel Bass system all-wheel independent suspension
  22. Searching for: 41999 9398 8043 All cost a lot , so I don't expect having any of them soon
  23. Love that you kept the "bat" grille The crane was really missing on the dump truck , now it looks amazing
  24. Somewhat late, but this video just got published. The channel in general is worth checking out.
  25. Wow , this car definetly shows the potential of BuWizz , I'm glad I'm getting one . Very interesting steering solution, awesome idea. An LDD model would be interesting to analize
