  1. Lego PF wired break often for me, I had to request 2x m-motors, 1 PF switch and 1x PF receiver. I am really unsatisfied with Lego quality, the new 1x1 clips break easily because of small support.
  2. I use 1X2 hollow bricks as covers for USB male connections. they fit perfectly and provide very good protection
  3. To start collecting parts again I would say that PF IR would be the best, after all, people have been building MOCs only with PF for almost ten years.
  4. Wow , that sounds exciting, I can imagine what those beasts can do Can it do donuts ,drift or burnouts?
  5. Good day! About a year ago I made an APC . It was a simplistic, underpowered MOC. Today I present you my second attempt at building APC. It was slightly inspired by BOV m11 Functions: -4x4 drive with buggy motor with 1:4.4 gear ratio -steering with m-motor -turret rotation with m-motor -gun elevation with m-motor -powered by a BuWizz -pendular suspension on rear axle The off-road perfomance of the geared down buggy motor was surprisingly good , both at low and high speeds. The turret can rotate 360º freely with the motor geared down 1:2.3. The gun uses a mini LA for the elevation @ 1:1 gear ratio The charging port and the switch on the BuWizz are accesible throught the hatch on the left side of the vehicle. I hope my studded bodywork isn't too horrible , the video will be up later today.
  6. Wow, cannot wait for more, 4 motors sound amazing in such a small vehicle
  7. I would say option 2, it would be wonderful to see a model propelled with such power. Too bad it didn't work out with the current setup
  8. That front axle looks very promising , can't wait for more Is that the effect of the developer mode on the hubs?
  9. During my own tests the 10° caster worked the best too, about the return-to-center steering I can recommend using a hockey spring or a custom assembly (I have done a tutorial on my channel)
  10. Oh my , I just knew that would happen ( pimped up porsche) . Looks rad with tractor thread tires. Marxpek , I don't know if I'm right , but on the photos it looks like you have attached the rear axle with vertically placed liftarms ( pin holes towards the top) . IF I'm right , that solution isn't as nearly as reliable as a beam with horizontally placed pin holes.
  11. Since Technic line is targeted more at teenagers and adults rather than little kids , why so much color coding? I don't think kids have less brain capacity now than a decade ago to take so many "precautions". I was able to build 8281 (year 2006) at age of four as my first ever Lego set and without any help. What has changed since then?
  12. Just a dumb question, would my early entry count? I am having some ideas for a new one though
  13. Wow, the amount of hose inside is unbelievable Amazing work.
  14. The dark blue color looks fantastic, intakes great contrast with the bright interior and adds a menacing look. I bet this was the most extravagant model at the toy fair
  15. Looks even greater than before , the recievers look like eyes to me for some reason and look kinda cute The lights add a very menacing look to the disc , great idea
  16. It has been a great contest , congratulations to the winners! There were a lot of great entries, hopefully there will be another contest soon :)
  17. Holy Grail: 8287 back when it was in the shops ( included buggy motor) , outdoor challenger 8675 , and my belowed Nitro Menace ( it was my dream since it came out) Dream: 8043, 9398 ,42999, 8258, 8366, and most of the 90's and 00's sets Regret: NXT 2.0 . modified because the speaker broke, I'm considering selling it someday
  18. It looks very cute to me , fantastic worl. Instant reminder of 8110 and its little brother 9390
  19. FWD prototype by Alaxaf, on Flickr FWD prototype by Alaxaf, on Flickr Idk . It feels nice when driving , but it is strange. More control of the direction of the car, but I'm not happy with the steering yet. It is still in development , so I'll change some things. I already have some ideas about the kind of body on top , but I think it will be quite a challenge for me I've never driven a real car, but I noticed that when I try to drift it is different to a rwd car. It kinda slides with the front keeping the inner rear wheel at the slowest speed. Maybe it's just the slack in the steering.
  20. Everything looks very well organised now, great work. @Marxpek , you need to maintain the set looks as close to the original as possible , but not limiting yourself to the set's parts obviously.
  21. Thanks, I used a promotional drawstring bag I had lying around, after some cutting and sewing a cover was born. The color is a bit dull, but it is better than I expected. I recommend burning the holes instead of cutting , that way the material doesn't start to "dissasemble" into strings Apparently mine is from here
  22. Efferman made some designs , they are available at Shapeways here also there are turntable supports for lego turntable here and here
  23. Thanks, video is up Sure, here and here design is courtesy of ZBLJ , I just changed the mounting points for my MOC I guess I succeded on this MOC intention then
  24. Good Day. I present to you my biggest MOC ever - a futuristic dakar truck. This is a project I have started back in February to make it in time to the arrrival of BuWizz , or that is what I had planned. For propulsion it is using only one buggy motor , what isn't the best idea because the motor ends overheating. But it is possible to install a second buggy motor with a bit of chassis re-design. To fill a bit the huge truck, I installed a X16 engine- courtesy of ZBLJ. The steering uses 1x m-motor , without any return-to-center mechanism thanks to the precise control with the BuWizz brick. The outside design was heavily inspired by 00's sets ( specially 8466) , and I included gull-wing doors with mini linear actuators . m-motors can be installed easily to motorize that function too, but I used two knobs on top of the cabin . The interior was kept simple - two bucket seats and a dashboard. I already shoot some footage , so a video will come soon. For now , here are some photos. 2017-04-30_05-28-06 by Alaxaf, on Flickr
