Oh my god, this is completely unbelievable for me... I wonder if anything could be done respect to that. I'm out of words, best luck.

Maybe you have to change the chassis a bit to make it stronger and more reliable ( Use the ball-joint frames with the u-joints inside ) but I like how it looks with those tires Keep it posted up :)

Tire and Rim Compability
syclone replied to jgw's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Unfortunately, both examples will stretch the tire :( On the bright side, one can use the 44771 tire inside the 45982 tire to make it sturdier (the rim is the original to 45982 tire) and it won't deform it in any way -

I think it would look beter on the bodywork (right between the 2x4 beam and 3l half beams) -
Tire and Rim Compability

Found it ;) Here are some (2) midnight ideas I had today . First : Uses the 44771 tire pushed inside the 45982 tire and both put on the 44772 rim DSC_1639 by Alaxaf, on Flickr DSC_1641 by Alaxaf, on Flickr DSC_1640 by Alaxaf, on Flickr Second: Uses the 45982 tire put on the 44772 rim DSC_1642 by Alaxaf, on Flickr DSC_1643 by Alaxaf, on Flickr DSC_1644 by Alaxaf, on Flickr Here's a comparison photo (normal 45982 tire in center) DSC_1645 by Alaxaf, on Flickr -

While recently visiting Technicopedia's main page , I found out that the link saying "Technica" is outdated , it looks like the domain name is on sale -

I remember a topic about non-standard wheel+tire combos , I wanted to post two illegal combinations, but google nor EB itself can't find the topic . But thanks for the help. -

I think there was a topic about different possible wheel+tire combinations , could someone help me finding it? I was searching it for some time now , but no success -

I wouldn't buy the car chassis as a set, it isn't really appealing. I think it's fine as a combination model. -

Although it would bring up some very creative ways to solve the same problems, it wouldn't be as fun as a more generic one imho -

Are the red gears that necessary? I don't get the system now . Nvmd , got it , but still confusing and the red is too bright How about using old style 16z instead of red?? -
Hi all ! Recently I saw a longboard on street and liked the way it was , and after later investigation I decided to have my own. And simply to get a small idea of what it would look like I build this model. Excuse me for the LDD renders , but the light today is terrible and I'm changing my setup for photos , so that's the best I thought about. Functions are rolling wheels and working steering like in a real deck ( I used to own a normal skateboard ^^ ) . Note that the trucks are reverse kingpin ones . how the real skate trucks work The deck itself is 61 studs long and 15 studs wide , while the trucks are 20 studs wide. I built this model Irl and it performs as meant , but the turning radius is large. The trucks use 2l rubber pieces to maintain the deck stable. As always , here's the LDD model: download Any thoughts / comments are greatly appreciated
