  1. With the year end only a couple of months away, it is time to look towards 2022 for some of the new sets that will be launching once spring rolls around. According to a multiple sources, the next vehicle to get the LEGO Creator Expert treatment will be none other than the quintessential scooter brand, The Vespa! From what we gather, it would not be a current model but the classic one without the side mirrors. It is rumored to be given a mint green paint job and will come with brick built accessories like helmets, flower, a newspaper tile and a bag. It is pegged to be €99.99 but the piece count has not been confirmed yet. The launch date is slated for February which means we should see some official images at the turn of the new year. 2. Final model photos: ============================= I read the announcement for TC19 when I was frantically finishing my motor grader entry for our local LUG contest (I hope to upload more pictures in a separate thread later). At that point, having no real experience building motorcycle models, I decided I would not participate. But during my short New Year vacation, I ended up in a small vintage vehicle museum where I saw, among other bikes, these two Soviet-period scooters: When I returned from my vacation, I realized that, contrary to my previous decision, I was considering how this scooter can be modeled with Technic. With my limited experience, I asked myself the question: what is the smallest scale I can use and still have steering, suspension, and engine, all while keeping the model at least semi-recognizable? There’s nothing in the rules limiting the size of the model, so I decided to have some small-scale fun. Turns out Corvette wheels do work. This is the prototype I came up with: The suspension turned out to be pleasantly soft. Steering and piston engine are there. The details are quite different from the original, but that’s what you get in this scale. I also put together a red body, I think it looks better: Tulitsa was a Soviet scooter from the 80s, there’s little information about it in English, but you can find lots of images by googling for “Тулица”.
  3. I like to present you my Lego town Steinbruck. The name is from Stein=brick & bruck(old German)=bridge. This is my current layout: My MOC and MOD buildings (more detail pictures in the albums; just click the pictures to get there): I'm planning a car wash for the Service Station and will build it in the next months. I also build digital, but can't afford all of them to build with bricks. Click to album.
  4. This is my take on this iconic and all time classic scooter! Because of its very sturdy construction (a technic subframe support it underneath) and a great reception from my lego mates when I first introduce it to them, made me to take my chance and submit it on Lego Idea! Please support if you like it! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/165775

    [MOC] Scooter shop

The scooter released in 2014 by LEGO (clearly a Vespa) is really cute and it deserved an appropriate repair workshop. Furthermore this year the legendary Vespa turns seventy and this is the right circumstance to pay tribute with a specialized garage. Here it is! The new workshop features many tools and details. Let’s take a look. A workbench, with wrenches and vise, is positioned at the center of the workshop. There are also a mobile roller cabinet, the the oxy-acetylene welder and the column drill press. In the middle there are two lifts to easily work on the Vespa. On the right a red tool cabinet includes many utensils. Two pendant neon lights are hanged on 2 dark bluish gray supports. There are also trophies and helmets all around. I really enjoyed building this Minifig scale workshop and I hope you guys also enjoy this my new brand LEGO diorama. The Scooter shop on flickr. Almost two years ago I built a larger scale Vespa workshop. All the best and happy building!
  6. This year Officina Super Sprint turns twenty and to pay tribute for this important anniversary I built the LEGO model of the “Officina”. Officina Super Sprint is a Vespa specialized workshop. It was founded in 1995 by two friends, one of them is also an AFOL (Adult Fan Of LEGO) known as Norton74…yes, here I am! My new MOC is called “Dream Garage” and follows “Garage Life”, the oldtimer Volkswagen workshop I built and presented last year. “Dream Garage” features many tools and details. Let’s take a look. A wooden workbench, with wrenches and vise, is positioned at the center of the workshop. On the left of the workbench is positioned the sandblaster. Details are everywhere: checkered flags, advertising signs, trophies, extension cords and more… There are also a mobile roller cabinet with four drawers, the air compressor (a little bit hidden, behind the right lift), the oxy-acetylene welder, the electric welder and the column drill press. In the middle there are two hydraulic scissor lifts to easily work on the Vespas. Last but not least the Garage features three Vespas: two Vespa PX and one Vespa T5 (the one with the square front light). I built the Vespa Workshop last winter and now here it is. I really enjoyed building this workshop and I hope you guys also enjoy this my new brand LEGO model. More info and pictures: flickr All the best and happy building! Norton74

    Pingu

For those of you who do not know, Pingu is a clay-animated TV series created by Otmar Gutmann in 1986. It is about a little penguin named Pingu and his family and friends, that all work and live in igloos on the South Pole. Pingu often goes on adventure with his little sister Pinga and his seal friend Robby. As a kid Pingu was one of my favourite shows on TV, and still today I love the humour and the unique style of it. In the scene below you see Pingu's father, mother and little sister Pinga, and Pingu himself. Pingu is sitting on his fathers "mail snowscooter". I have created custom stickers for their chests and their eyes. I have also created a Cuusoo project out of it, which you can check out here. Larger image can be seen on my flickr.

    LEGO Scooter - Hairdryer

Hi all! I build this little scooter inspired by Hairdryer from the LEGO City Undercover game. I build 4 versions and don't really know which one I like the best. But the one on the upper left is closest to the game. Because I am missing one part it became one of these Bike-Car things with two wheels in front. Hairdryer von Skalldyr auf Flickr I hope you liked it. C&C welcome. Skalldyr
