    Planning Western Town

Howdy folks! As a child growing up, the LEGO City theme has been my most favourite theme. I also experienced some LEGO Adventurers, LEGO Spider-Man, LEGO Creator, etc. I never owned any LEGO Western sets or Lone Ranger sets, but had seen them online. I would save up pocket money, birthday money, Christmas money, to purchase LEGO sets from Woolworths (UK), Moons Toy Store (UK), or Argos (UK). They were "the good old days", indeed. Today I am a AFOL - adult fan of LEGO. Fascination and interest of the Wild West and Western has began to grow since playing - Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018) - by the famous Rockstar Games. It was indeed an incredible historic time period, with a lot of room for imagination and adventure. I would love to someday make a LEGO Western town main street, but seek advice from the Eurobricks LEGO community. If I was to build a Western setting, what should I consider? Any recommendations? What town buildings do you suggest? Some structure ideas include: Saloon Hotel Sheriff's Office Bank Stable General Store Gun Store Undertaker's Town Hall Train Station w/ train Barbers Mine & Mineshaft Hunter's Shack Fisherman's Shack Shack & Houses Fort ? Church & graveyard Addition ideas: Riffles, guns, pistols, dynamite Railway Wagons & horses Cactus

    [MOC] Western

Hi everyone, For the coming Lego event, Lego World, I have build three landscapes. One of them is based on the Fright Knights and another one is based on the Imperial Armada. This landscape is based on the old Western theme of 1996 and I focused more on the civilian part of the theme. The landscape was already finished in July, but it was a bit boring to look at. Only the house in the front has interior. The house next to the bank has a mechanism to turn the flames on the roof. Someone crash landed very close to the village. For more pictures, go to my Flickr album. Feedback and questions are welcome. Sander

The West is not as Wild

Has anyone else noticed that we rarely see anything regarding the old west these days? You don't see any new shows inspired by the old west, same goes for Lego sets as well. The last time in my memory that there was a line based about that time period was the Lone Ranger line, and several sets from the first Lego movie. The most resent bit of western theme I know of was that one cowboy figure wearing a fake horse. I ask why aren't there any more old west sets, and in what way could they be brought back?

    Stagecoach Outpost MOC

Here is a MOC I created for my latest short brickfilm of a Stagecoach and Stagecoach Outpost. This MOC contains an Outpost and a Stagecoach. The Outpost has a small fruit tree, garden, and cooking stove out side. Inside the walls are a small coral, and a bunkhouse for the caretakers and travelers. 1 by Jamin Star, on Flickr 2 by Jamin Star, on Flickr 4 by Jamin Star, on Flickr 5 by Jamin Star, on Flickr 6 by Jamin Star, on Flickr 8 by Jamin Star, on Flickr I have also submitted this MOC on Lego Ideas https://ideas.lego.com/content/project/link/322103ca-62cc-46e0-9ed6-1026f19b0ff3

    [MOC] A Resting Threat

Hey again everyone! This is my second MOC on the Historic Themes forum, this time in the Western category. I built this as a way to add variety to my MOCs, as Western is a theme that I like, but haven't gotten that into. I also built it to bring to Brickfair in a couple weeks. So, here it is The whole thing, on a 34 x 50 base Bandits in the mountain. Cowboy Camp. And that's it! As always, C&C welcome. More Photos and full set on Flickr.
  8. Hi guys, So I figured, if anyone would be able to help me, it'd be the fine folks over at the Eurobricks Forums. Basically I am trying my best to recreate this: As seen in the LEGO Movie (though briefly), it is one of the Wild West Citizen's Master Build creation designed to thwart President Business. I am currently attempting to recreate it in LDD, with limited success, (I've done the head, reigns and a bit of the front legs). I have found a few low-res or blurry images online which are not too much additional help unfortunately. However, I do know that a recreation of this horse can be found at The LEGO Movie Experience at Legoland California, which does admittedly differ ever-so-slightly from the onscreen version, but nevertheless will be the closest reference imagery I'll be able to find outside the one above still from the film. Anyway, Has anyone here been to visit The LEGO Movie Experience and has already happened to have taken some nice high-res imagery of this horse..? Or is anyone going soon who would be able to assist me by taking some detailed snaps? Can anyone identify the Minifigure riding on top? Does anyone know the original creator who built it? I know it's a long shot, but any further reference imagery I could get would go a long way to helping me re-create this great build, which I would of course share on completion. Many thanks for your interest and help! - James

    MOC Fateful Encounter

If you heard nothing about a gang of Ginger Joe then you probably were born much later the events that occurred on the territory of the future state of Colorado. In 1858, in the streams of the Rockies gold was found. Thousands of people flocked here going for the gold. Soon prospectors camps have turned into small towns and became the object of attack of the the Indians and robbers. Then all knew the most notorious thugs - Joe gang. His fiery red hair was seen at the attacks on shops merchants, robberies on the roads and even attacks on bank branches. So far, luck was on the side of the bandits, but this time it all went wrong... Bank robbery was planned carefully. All foreshadowed easy profits. But, instead of the two guards with sawn-off shotguns, hijackers met well armed force. In the skirmish was killed most of the gangs, but Joe himself managed to escape. He decided to get rid of the chase and to lay low for the some time... By the wild narrow path riding on the Caesar he sneaks to Arizona. But suddenly old Sheriff Bill Kanning blocked the way...
