    Toy Treasure Trove

Picture Link A toyshop that closed down in 2009 has been discovered to have a trove of vintage toys I linked in what is the best picture to me (Jaw off the floor, mop up the drool ) though this is worth a look by Star Wars fans and any toy collector. (Linked as it was a huuuge photo) It makes you wonder what is hidden behind the boarded windows of any closed down shop. Now to keep an eye out for the auction listings to maybe get a web bid in...

As 'xtremegoogler' says in the 2013 topic... (Never quote pictures, kids. This was just under special circumstances. ) And, in fact, Brickset does list them as 2014 Creator sets. So, this calls for a 2014 Creator topic. Personally, I'm curios if LEGO is going to stop doing the "3 in 1" models. These two seem to have two separate models, not made from the same pieces as each other. Maybe Creator set "2 pack" builds? Either way, though we don't have pictures for any Creator House set yet, I'm sure we'll be getting some in 2014. Strangely enough, we have not gotten a Creator 2014 rumor list yet. UPDATE: 8/21/2013

  12. I know what you're thinking: this is simply a renamed Winter Village Post Office. Well, you'd be half right. It IS a post office mod, but only because I was struggling to come up with a use for this building, as I already have a Post office for my town. I finally came up with this: a old fashioned newspaper store. (NOTE: There are supposed to be printed 1x1 tiles saying "LEGO NEWS" on the 2x4 bracket seen in the main picture.) Welcome to LEGO NEWS. We stock many newspapers and magazines from all over the LEGO realm. We have the City Financial news, (crucial to any businessman) the Old Times, (for any nostalgic mini-fig), the Night Out, (catering to the denizens of the Monster Realm) and even the original LEGO News. (for just about anybody!) We also stock the Daily Prophet & the Quibbler (for any witch or wizard of any age), the Daily Bugle, (for your superhero fix) Yoda Chronicles (for your galactic news) and of course we have comics for the kiddies. Here we see the rear of the store, where newspapers are sorted and tied up for their deliveries to subscribers houses. We also see the car and camera of the lead reporter: she's the one who covered the Alien Conquest fiasco in 2011. Close up of the newspapers. Here we can see Night Out, City Financial News, LEGO News, & Old Times. LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1396734007m.lxf Thoughts, questions, & complaints are always welcome!

  14. The dark side of Crescent Hill is a dreary place. Wedged between the eastern walls of Eubric and the rest of the city, it sees daylight for only a few hours a day. But it's cheap and quiet, a good place to start a business that intends to become just the opposite. The sun rises over several hills to the east before rays of light finally shoot throughout the area. The four chosen heroes can finally see their hands more than a few inches from their face, as well as the freshly-painted sign hanging over one of the doors. A grumpy-looking U'kin works feverishly on the most eccentric-looking device to one side. Crammed behind it is what seems to be some sort of printing press. Whenever he mutters under his breath, the eager young gnome behind him passes him a tool. The girl in front of the desk is dressed for success about as well as one can be in the poorer areas of Eubric, polishing her bracelets and examining her appearance in them at the same time as the party walks inside. The Rockling behind her has a thick stack of papers on his desk, and rifles through them loudly, a stern expression of determination on his face, one that's probably been sitting there almost as long as he has. And in the back, away from the chaos of the room, is a figure in purple, staring unmovingly out the back window. The female waves at them after a moment. "You're here, then? Excellent-" "-But late." "The sun's only just-" "-been risen for at least a minute, with another half spent gawking at the operation here," he finishes, in a gruff, surprisingly fast manner of speech, especially for a Rockling. "News waits for nothing girl, not even those who make their living off of it. Dash Boulder, editor-in-chief. Remind me again what it is I'm paying you people for. Am I signing something, or is this a verbal contract? I'm not covering healing costs if you get shanked on the job. Red, if one them gets their short and heroic, but ultimately unsatisfied lives tragically snuffed out in this crude, unforgiving mistress of a city - write that down - recall your training: last words are the ones the people always remember. As long as someone's willing to sell them. Strike that. Share them." Red mutters under her breath and starts scribbling rapidly in a small book she's got with her, leaving the heroes to wonder what exactly they've stepped in. Welcome to Quest 82. Please finish up any shopping you want in the Marketplace before posting here. I'll wait for everyone to confirm before starting things up, but for now, you're free to talk to the NPCs.

  17. Hello everybody! I just found this video of the new Lego game 50004 Story Mixer, revealed at the Nürnberg Toy Fair. For everyone who does not know German: He says that where the arrow points at, one of the small models has to be put. That model has to be described with 2 words. The dragon for example, can be called 'Flaming dragon'. The player also has to tell a story about that scene or being. Then its the next players turn. He puts another model at the place the arrow points at and describes it with 2 words and a story, too. But here is the twist, the second player has to incorporate the 'flaming dragon' in some way. The presenter does not specify if the player has to tell the story of the dragon again, too. When the player uses the wrong word, for example says 'red dragon' instead of 'flaming dragon' his model is put back and its the next players turn. This is all the information we get. I assume this goes on and is supposed to get harder and harder to memorize. The goal may be to be the last one standing. There seem to be many small models and many 4x4 plates. What do you think of it?
