Hey, everyone! I have been meaning to getting around to build a fighter jet, but just never seemed to have the patience / know-how to do so. Well, I finally buckled down and built one. It has been a while since I last built an airplane, but I soon regained my familiarity with aircraft building. The scale I built this in is not a typical scale of craft that I usually build in. However, once I obtained the pilot LEGO figure, I knew I had to build some sort of plane for him . Perhaps the most challenging part of the model to build was the back wheel supports and the air intake assembly (or attaching the front nose cone without having the whole front fall apart) on the cockpit. More photos and higher resolution pics can be found here: https://www.flickr.c.../127983423@N07/ (P.S. Being my only second MOC post here, still not totally sure if this is the best spot to post this, but since I saw that it included military MOCs, I decided to give it a go; if it should be moved somewhere else, do feel free to tell me. Thanks. )

Very cool; nice mini-model. Really likin' those 1x1 studs used as wheels on this thing. And the display stand and little US flag emblem look great! Well done!

[MOC] Coltherstone Castle - Houses
BrickBuilder7622 replied to frumpy's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is excellent. It is the epitome of a great castle MOC, and for a small size it sure does have a ton of detail in it. This is really quite inspiring and very pleasing to the eye as well. Phenomenal work! -
171A The Ammonite is a whaling ship (its home port being somewhere in 19th century New Bedford). Primarily used to hunt certain types of whales for their valuable oil, this ship's crew has mastered the art of whaling, and their ship is the pride and joy of its company's business. Since I was fortunate enough to have a three day weekend, I decided to not let it go to waste and buckled down and built. Also, this is my first MOC post here on Eurobricks, so I hope I posted this in the best theme place possible and did all the post guidelines right. Please let me know if I need to change anything. More photos can be found on my Flickr: https://www.flickr.c.../127983423@N07/ Happy building and God bless! :-) -BrickBuilder7622

Oh my goodness, this will be awesome! I can't wait until they release these. I love the way the Mystery-Mobile (I think that's the name) is built.- 1699 replies

Thanks! Thanks; I usually prefer ones with cannons as well, but I do like to switch things up; makes it interesting! Thanks so much! Why, thank you! Whoa, you certainly do seem to be quite the expert on guns and cannons. Very nicely presented; and quite the interesting lesson, I wasn't bored at all. Thanks! True. I actually did do that with this MOC (see link below) that I built in April 2014. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/386842

Thank you so much! Would you mind sending me a link to the MOC forum? Thanks again! Thanks Phred! Yes, I was also going to build a boiler stove, but I found that placing one on the deck of the ship would make it look awkward, so I decided against it. Thanks again! Thanks! The doors were a on the spot addition; I just thought they'd look nice there. Before I got into building LEGO, I used to build plastic model ships (and planes), the Charles W. Morgan being one of them; that's partially what inspired me. I do agree, realistically speaking there should be hardly any cabin at all, but I sort of used this ship as an experimental build to test some techniques I had been just itching to try out. Thanks for the comment and input! Thanks so much! I don't have too many cannons (only about 8 or 9) so, I suppose maybe another "cannonless" ship will be built, sooner or later. Thanks again!

[MOC] – Freebuild – The Wedgwood House
BrickBuilder7622 replied to cesbrick's topic in Guilds of Historica
Each of your builds shows masterful use of techniques that not many builders are able to use and as always ingenious parts usage. Wonderful work as always. There's always little surprises that one sees when viewing one of your creations. You're a true master builder. Well done my friend. -
Boy I would love to have that as an alarm clock; awesome!!!

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it! Unfortunately, I didn't get around to building the whale itself. And, do you know if my formatting of this post is okay with the Eurobricks guidelines, such as posting it in the right place? Thanks again!

Hey All! BrickBuilder7622 here!
BrickBuilder7622 replied to BrickBuilder7622's topic in Hello! My name is...
Thanks to you all for the very warm welcome! I really appreciate it! My favorite themes are Indiana Jones, Pirates, Kingdoms, etc. Basically all themes that deal with action and adventure! -
Well, I find that the real joy of building a MOC is the pleasure of just sitting down and building. That being said, it will be a tad bit difficult to build a MOC, considering one has a limited supply of bricks. When you have a limited amount of parts (and even when you have a surplus amount of parts), you'll find that you begin to see LEGO pieces differently. That is, you begin to realize for example that that 2x4 brick is just what you need for that MOC you're working on. What I am saying is, as long as you have bricks, MOCing comes naturally. So by all means, if you have money set aside for bricks, then buy as much as you need / want. The first few creations are difficult (but loads of fun). After that, MOCing becomes a hobby that you just can't stop planning for / thinking about. It's a lot of fun. Hope this helps you. :-)

What is the best LEGO theme?
BrickBuilder7622 replied to LegoGuyK's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I myself think the best themes are any that involve adventure (e.g. Indiana Jones, Adventurers, Pirates, Kingdoms, Space...). -

[WIP] 42039 - 24 Hours Race Car - Full RC
BrickBuilder7622 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Very nicely done! I admire those that are able to use gears and wheels and the like so well as I am accustomed to building with regular bricks, but I daresay you have quite the awesome build here. :-) -
That thing looks really mean and powerful. Great work! I have been meaning to build something steam punk... Excellent! :-)

It's unbelievable to see every little detail, and every little bit of texture. This MOC is so full of life. I hope to build something as good as this one day. Ultra-marvelous-phenomenal work here! :-)
