  1. would like to see more photos of the suspension, steering setup etc..
  2. i voted for the models I thought gave the most playability/funcionality for the 4 channels of control for the motors - not just gratuitious added on functions (even though the model may have looked superb) this is the Lego philosophy
  3. great to see you and your models here after many years followng over on MoCPages
  4. Impressive speed and climb! shame its only skid steer - but tat this scale and in the dirt that is probably an advantage!
  5. i like the use of RFID tags VW have something similar in their autostadt Car tower:
  6. very compact and great fun! i like it
  7. We got this for my son recently '70165 Ultra Agents Mission HQ' and I was impressed that it came with : 2 x 5by7 Beam Frames 12 x Black Flatpanels and 6 x Silver metallic 11M Beams plus many other technic pieces (oh and 8 wheels)
  8. Technically its not airsuspension - its pneumatic height control - the suspension is still springs.... IMHO the only model to have a proper implementation of airsuspension (with automatic height control and air brakes to boot...) is sheepo's legendary Peterbilt truck: http://www.sheepo.es...79-cat-c15.html Excellent model though sorry didnt meant to sound too negative!
  9. mind. blown. The only way to improve accuracy would be to run it slightly fast and use minstorms to stop/slow the motor now and again to catch up with realtime
  10. you learn more from failed project that the ones that go well....
  11. and the more you use it the tight side should loosen up after a few crawls gone wrong across the sofa!
  12. shame you don't show all functions working at once on the video... this is where S-Brick combined with a sequencer app (i am unsure if it has already or not) to record some movements into memory and play them back without having to control it in real-time
  13. you shouldn't, but we all did as kids! no double declutching facility.... a lego 'crash gearbox'
  14. 21: 10 37: 6 22: 4 23: 3 17: 2 5: 1
  15. Pretty cool, reminds me of an old set 6495 - Time Tunnelator
  16. I left it in third gear to play with it most of the time, still ist has the best steering geometry ever in any technical set
  17. I remember when I first built this and saw that in the instructions you had to cover up first gear, I never did its such a low ratio that when newly built you could just about push it around, as the dusts and years went by this became impossible so I suppose lubeing everything would help but possibly just changing the gear ratio a bit may help it really is meant for motorisation that gear anyway
  18. Its true its so funny....! How about a 5L ? perhaps it has a volvo engine or an audi engine
  19. it has a steampunk-esque quality to it...
  20. Love anything with live axles.... Simply great, looks better on the thinner tyres
  21. Thanks, It has in the past hence worm gears this time and so far so good.... I agree it should be taller, but i am using parts from 8421 only and ran out of pieces Its not too slow, I geared it up a bit but the ground clearance is not too great, will do a video soon...
  22. Small Update to test chassis out before going back to being 8421:
  23. very original and unique - great use of vintage technic wheels
  24. There I was thinking someone had done a lego technic version of the FIAT X19 (actually Bertone) the black and orange colour scheme is delightful...!
