Thanks for all the replies guys! Yes Boulderer the model is not perfect, though I never noticed rear shocks bend because the 1L bush sits nicely between them. But seing the number of positive replies here I think I know this is one of my best mini models. Thanks for support guys! P.S. If you dont have the correct colors you can always make the camouflaged version -
Wow thats awesome color combination and a fast model! P.S. Where was that recorded? Looks faimilliar...

Here's an idea. Add another reciever to independently control both rear motors. If the front is light enough you might manage to make its skid steer. In worst case scenario you can brake with one wheel and turn much sharper. -

19. Tumbler Entry name: Tumbler Part count: 200 Functions: Hand of God steering Independent front suspension Rear live axle with suspension Adjustable wings Promotional image: Parts used: LDD file: http://www.brickshel...ler/tumbler.lxf Model topic: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=98187

After seing the offical UCS tumbler I decided to build my own mini version, but with all the features that big one should have. So the features are: Hand of God steering Independent front suspension Rear live axle with suspension Adjustable wings And its all done with 200 bricks including the rubber bands used for front suspension. So here is the front view of the real model: And the rear view with clearly visible springs. The rocket booster doubles as a steering point: And in order to check the brick count here is the digital version, all nicely tilted going through a corner: And some box art design for promotion: And all the bricks spread out: Please also check out the video: And if you want to see how the front suspension/steering works you can also download the LXF file to see all the techniques used: http://www.brickshel...ler/tumbler.lxf

You just calculate the angle you need to rotate the gear simply by: 360/Number of gears/2.. Works every time

A friend of mine has a big boat hull and when he gets back from holidays he's gonna lend it and I'm gonna give it another go Thanks guys! -
Yo guys, this is a model I've been working for the past week. The idea behind it is that the 6 wheels can support the modele in the water in order for it to swim... While it kind of works for the bare chassis, as soon as I added the cabine and the bed its swimming characteristics degraded to those of a rock... While I usually dont really post many unfinished/failed models I decided to make an exception with this one since I think there is potential for a redesign or simillar. So here's the main picture. I used the panels from the unimog for the bed. Also the bottom of the bed is actually studded in order to reinfroce the chassis. The sides of the bed can be opened. You can clearly see a 8 bladded screw which was suppose to be used in water. Notice the high position of all the PF stuff. The chassis is made so the model has all wheel drive with a central coaxial differential like the original: Here's the bare chassis without motors and bodywork: The suspension uses lnear actuator brackets and bewel gears to power the wheels. Funny fact depending how you position the bewel gears, you can make the drive torque of the main axles help the wheels go over bumps. An earlier version actually used an automatic gearbox, but it was sadly too inefficient: And here's a video of the truck in action:
