  1. If they are not up to it you can always use big ones! And I think you will have to use big ones...
  2. Ground clearance is low under those hubs.. Anyway my tatra 8x8 is now complete and I will be posting its pictures in the next day or two.
  3. First of all hello and welcome to Eurobricks There were LOTS of different parts used, so I cant tell you the sets used, but I can tell you the electrical components and specialized parts: 1 x LiPo battery box 1 x M motor 1x RC motor 1x PF extension cable 1x PF receiver (you can use any version) 1x PF switch 2x PF LEDs 1x PF remote Specialized parts include: 1x Ball joint (male and female part) 2x Universal joints 4x Hard 6,5 springs 2x small steering hubs 1x 16 stud long axle And lots of usual gears (including 2 worm gears), beams (black ) panels, including 6 small ones for wings. Sorry cant be more specific as I took the model apart.
  4. That means a lot to me! Back on topic seems like the more wheels the more votes
  5. Very colorfull entry! Do you have a video of it working?
  6. Oh another one... I once managed to jump on the normal black friction pin in such manner, it got embedded in my heal, like 1 stud deep... Bloodiest pin I ever saw.
  7. As shown in video they slip when there is the torque of XL motor (which is overkill). I guess you have to build and try?
  8. Maybe you left an axle sticking out too much at the compressor handle.
  9. Nice color combination and I really like the overall shape.

  11. I think you made an error in length measurment, its 15,4 cm? Anyway good entry, very nostalgic.
  12. I love the transitions you use, they are really unique
  13. Interesting :) Is Mario also brick built?
  14. Few years ago I made the first big scale portal axles... Now its time to do same at small scale! Here's the result: The axle has a 1:2 portal gear ratio and uses the CV joints for steering. Steering is done via 7 stud long steering rack. Its meant for lighter smaller scale models, like the ones Madoca77 is famous for. I also made some variations of the axle and to top it off I also added the mini 8x8 tatra chassis. You can download the LDD file here: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/Ideas/MiniAxles/mini_drive_axles.lxf Some video footage: So what model should I make with these? Please vote! Thanks!
  15. Thanks! Glad you guys like this model, I perosnally am quite proud of it
  16. Nice functionality! Maybe you could use some studded rounded pieces for the head?
  17. How did you attach those 1x8 plates by sides? Looks awesome, I love the small details like hydraulics rams and antennas.
