  1. Who knows... :) Why is the front axle tilted so much?
  2. Thanks guys! Yeah compared to my previous full scale model ( ) its mini for me Nah I called it mini because of the mini portal axles...
  3. Yo guys! Here are (lots of) pictures: On the lake... In the sand: In the grass: And on the rocks; Comparisment to the real one: Video: All in all I am quite pleased with the model. Even though its quite heavy the portal axles didnt hae much troubles, unless the wheel was jammed between rocks. Suspension is really flexible and it does its job when offroading. I hope you guys try build this model because its really easy to modify, add attachments, etc... Download the LXF file: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/MiniUnimog4x4/mini_unimog_4x4.lxf
  4. Nope, any plate bigger than 1x1 is not legal because of strain it may put on the child.
  5. You can make leaf springs! Just use the 9L links as springs
  6. Is is the first time you're charging it?
  7. It was a very busy day of shooting today, you can expect the video somewhere by midnight (after i come from the cinema)... Thanks for the support (positive or otherwise )
  8. Nah, the links are very flexible and they survived totally fine with higher loads in the trophy truck. The steering angle is some 25 degrees, but thanks to the central diff it turns nicely without being pushed sideways by the rear axle.
  9. A C model of a set like Hot rod or simillar would be interesting... And OFC if you dont have it you have to buy it to compete hence Lego could sponsor this one too...
  10. Are you gonna use ball joint suspension or real live axle?
  11. Update on the chassis. I am using my own "patented" suspension idea with links, seems to work good!
  12. Fixed the link: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/MiniUnimog4x4/mini_unimog_4x4.lxf
  13. Yes orange Thanks guys, still have to record the unimog today so this will have to wait. Oh and turtles...
  14. I'm affraid to go any taller due to stability... Sorry I dont see an option to route the motor's power to the rear without gears sticking in the flatbed... Check the LDD file, you will see... BUT you can reute drive motor's power to the rear via kardan.
  15. Model and LDD file updated to an upgrade with a PTO. Now the model has an additinal motor in front which powers the removable winch. Hush: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=98680
  16. And for the third wanted model here's how far it is ATM: I decided to use normal portal hubs in rear in order to have higher gear ratio on rear for less axle twist and have more bias for rear power displacement. I will use a central differential to compensate for different axle gear ratios.
  17. I dont usually do this so early but the heck... Here's the LDD file: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/zblj/MiniUnimog4x4/mini_unimog_4x4.lxf With a bit of modding and moving the panhrod upper point you could fit a PTO shaft in there...
  18. Looks really awesome so far! Maybe you can make a Mercedes Amg 6x6,
  19. Thats is juast awesome! Could be a bit faster, but hey it works!
  20. Well I dont think my styling generally sucks, as seen by these models: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=81548 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=98187 Its just that I am much better at making my own shapes than following others... And i have to say its rather funny (or sad) that many mods, etc with so many tags post so little actual MOCs...
  21. No comment... I will start on video first thing in the morning.
  22. Okay TheitalianBrick, I took your advice, and this is what I got... I'm not changing it anymore
  23. THis better guys? I also added filter, exhaust, etc... @Erelender yes the gap is bigger than it should be because my version has higher articulation angle.
  24. Because you guys wanted it so badly Here's a teaser image, expect more pictures and video soon. Ignore the skewed mirror
