  1. I knew there was more potential for that hot air balloon mold, I'd just hoped for a great vehicle set to include it.
  2. I love display pieces like this, I always love to see moving displays, I think it adds so much more to the display, and in cases like this, where you end up wondering how it works, is even better. I'm surprised that the tiles don't pinch the sliding card piece on the forklift. It's a really clever piece of engineering, and simple when you know how. Paul
  3. Purely based on the set numbers and comparing to previous years, it would definately look like this IP car will be the second half flagship, although my preferance would have been the tractor or the bucket wheel excavator, The only good thing is that remembering this years Blue crane, was the second largest 2nd half set, and this set was of good quality and features, so assuming the second highest set number next year, is the bucket wheel excavator, it has a good chance of being a fair size. However the Tractor would therefore be a fairly small set, circa £50. Which is a shame, as I'd have likely to see this as the flagship, maybe with a load of farm attachments. Hopefully we will see some leaked 1st half images soon. Fingers crossed the Volvo will be the 1st Half flagship.
  4. This was my first 9v train which got me into collecting the trains again, I now have 2 of these, and it's a great starter set.
  5. I have to disagree, that grader actually looks like a good use of the parts that were available, the issue is the colour of the parts. But Technic fans are always complaining about yellow contstruction equipment……So that overcame that issue.
  6. 4 Pointless…...
  7. I used to receive LEGO sets for Christmas……..and I still do, although I buy it for myself now! Welcome to the forum. Paul
  8. Anyone who missed the original will no doubt buy this set, but the hundreds, maybe thousands of people who have been collecting these sets each year will surely take a miss this year. which will impact profits, I myself cannot understand why they have done this. I also wish I could find my post from back in the early part of the year when I suggested it was a toy shop again this year and I was shot down and informed this was just a place holder, Never mind, just another disappointment this year to go along with the lack of a new Creator train! At least I can look forward to the Technic Merc set for Christmas, and I still have Santa's workshop from last year to build. Roll on 2016
  9. Just that Mr Gold that eluded me, apart from that I have 2 sets of all figures, however, I've mislaid 1 x Zombie from series 1, I know I had two of them, but I can't find one of them at the moment.
  10. Welcome to the gang!
  11. I can see how this would be a real blow, anyway, welcome to the Forum and hopefully some of your new sets will make up for the loss of your old ones. Paul
  12. And here is me thinking it has something to do with my surname!
  13. I heard the toy shop rumour back in the early part of this year, and was told by someone on the forum that it was just a placeholder, and not what the set was, so if it turns out to be a toy shop, I too will be disappointed that they have run out of ideas so quickly,
  14. Massive disappointment with the ferry, I was hoping for a car ferry or a train ferry, in the £79.99 price range, instead we are getting a Rubber Dingy
  15. I always thought it a bit odd how LEGO dumped the horizon express in their bargain bin without a new creator expert model to replace it.
  16. I'm interested in your white Linear actuator. Is it painted or a rare part you've acquired? Paul
  17. Based on this year, maybe only half the 1st half sets, for me, they are going to have to do a bit more that a couple of cars to excite me. I too would like to see a new forklift.
  18. agreed, it adds to my build time, which in turn adds to the enjoyment of the build for me
  19. mmmm, so is that going to be a ferry set which would be brilliant, or a fire boat putting out a ferry fire (this won't be so great as the focus will more likely be on the fire boat), or ferry boat converted into a fire boat.....(this would be silly) or most likely just a bad description and it's actually a fire boat all along......
  20. yes, please put me down for one of the buckets, they look great. Paul
  21. I think it's pig ugly, I own it for the purposes of a complete collection, but I don't rate it for it's looks.
  22. Really nice work intergrating with the old Monorail system, I think it looks and works great
  23. I see a lot of kids losing a lot of expensive power function parts in the middle of a lake and a Big claim against LEGO for them not being waterproof, but for the AFOLs, it's a valid item to add to the wish list thread. Paul
  24. Nice representation, but what a weird railway crane. It looks very top heavy.
