I always save up and then spend them on an exclusive set, I just cashed in £50 on detective agency. The last time I cashed in was probably a year or more ago on Horizon express There is something amusing when you go into a LEGO shop and the cashier suprising says "oh my that's a lot of reward points" I suspect with most children with reward points, they probably get £5 and cash them in straight away :-)

Review: 41062 Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle
paul_delahaye replied to mostlytechnic's topic in LEGO Licensed
This seems to be one of those sets that LEGO really should have released a month before Christmas, it likely then would have been toy of the year 2014, -

Legoland California - when will the Miniland be fixed?
paul_delahaye replied to pdxbricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks for your comment Kim, I gave my feedback to Merlin through their touchscreen panel at the theme park, I think this is an official way, but never heard anything back. This appears to be a bigger issue than one customers feedback which at the end of the day, one complaint is rarely going to get little notice. What this topic is discussing is an obvious issue with Miniland across 3 parks, in 3 countries. All of which are in a tired state. We all love LEGO hence we are discussing our concerns here. If you are a LEGO rep, and have an input with LEGO, it might be benefical for all if you mention this topic to one of your Colleagues and share our concerns about the poor state of the Miniland areas within the parks. My feeling still stands that Miniland does not appear to be a focus area for Merlin currently, in my opinion Merlin now see rides as what the customer want, but I still say, if Merlin had not taken on the Parks, I don't think they would be in existance today so I don't think Merlin running the parks is a bad thing. In one word……No I think the market might be a little small, I had no idea what MGS stood for until I opened your thread, then I had to check Wiki to find out more. I think the reality is Guns and Violence are not part of LEGO's Mission Statement, but I guess this is exactly what the LEGO Ideas site is all for, if the fans are out there, and they support a model you make, it would have a chance of being reviewed by LEGO.

There must be a LEGO user group local in the Netherlands? You probably should join/get in touch with them, and see if another couple of local members could also create an exhibition between you all, this should overcome the challenge of you having enough. Alternatively, find an already existing exhibition in the Netherlands, and go along as an exhibitor?

Your recovery truck looks really neat, love the humour of recovering Santa's sleigh

I can't answer your question, but I can tell you it's a great build and a great little set for the money. Hope it crosses the pond soon!

What is your favorite miniature accessory?
paul_delahaye replied to bitbang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm now quite taken by the new hand saw included with the worker minifig from Series 13 of the collectable minifigs, not saying this is the best ever accessory……but I like it. -
Picked up my Dectective Agency today from LEGO shop Watford, they did not have many left…..Aparently :-) Got the free flower cart which is a really nice add on.

Lego Baseplate Price increasing.
paul_delahaye replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Wow, only a couple of days ago, I said how it would be nice if LEGO started to sell Tan baseplates seperately, walk into the LEGO shop Watford today and vooom, Tan baseplates :-) Just brown and white required now in the same way…... -
Looking forward to picking up this set on Saturday :-) Nice review, love the tiny details and the printed parts.

New 2015 sets not showing up on lego site
paul_delahaye replied to kermit's topic in General LEGO Discussion
lol, you click on City sets on the UK site, and the 42038 Technic Arctic Truck shows up Lego Web designer job currently available…….. -
What a great set, I'd love to see this as a real winter set, far more than another toy shop it looks like we will get in 2015! Love the way the grinding stones work

The bridge was very good, just a shame more of those staight flat road sections were not more readily available, the potential for a raised road section in a city is great,

The ship looks to be like a U shape at the back half of the ship, it's too good to not be part of the summer line up.

Legoland California - when will the Miniland be fixed?
paul_delahaye replied to pdxbricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Legoland Windsor is in the same sorry state. Whilst I understand that the likelyhood of Legoland still being in existance had the Merlin/Blackstone group not taken control in the early 200x, It just feels like it's being turning into a theme park only now with almost no links to their past. Don't get me wrong, it's still open which is great, but I think they really could do with overhauling these Miniland areas. I think I heard a rumour that the Master builders which used to be based at the parks, are focused on making models for the new Discovery centres, I'd even heard that Legoland Windsor had contracted out some of their model building as they don't have the resources to keep up with the model demand? Also my memory from the park, in Kids meals you used to get a poly bag as a toy with a kids meal, now all they supply is some rubbish plastic token from China. It's really a little poor. I used to have an annual pass, but I let it lapse, despite the park only being 30 minutes from my home. I just did not feel I got value for money when Miniland was my favourite part. I know spend more time going to Lego shows organised by local LUGS -

I don't mind the re-release, I just wish they had slightly changed the stickers, even if it was just another number so there was a slight difference, -

Lol, your right, shows how long ago I bought them, -
I too really hope they keep the scale as per the mixer, and the same principal of the set can be motorised, and it folds down onto vehicles, maybe even keep the colour scheme of the trucks the same like a real fairground would

LEGO CREATOR 2015 Rumours & Discussion
paul_delahaye replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Set 10249. Winter Toy Shop, this is a bit of a shame, no village would have 2 toy shops, I cannot believe they would be repeating ideas so early in the theme? But creator tractor in August could be interesting!
