  1. Yeah, if you don't think Slave I looks good, you can't possibly have actually looked at it. It's had nothing but rave reviews about it, apart from some issues with the bottom/rocket color.
  2. I just remembered another reason the 911 is a likely candidate over other Porsche models: Isn't the company celebrating an anniversary of the 911 right now? 40th or 50th, IIRC. My bad, I guess it was 2014.
  3. Sounds nice. I always liked Porsche more than Ferrari or Lamborghini. AKA: German engineering > Italian trash.
  4. Yup. You've said nothing we don't already know. You want people to think you're a legit rumor source? Post the make/model of the car in the set. If you're right, you get trust points, you're wrong, you don't. You tell us nothing, nobody will believe you when you claim to have been in the know all along. It certainly sounds like I'm going to have a very difficult time affording the summer wave.
  5. Seriously, what could they even make that's realistic? Springfield Elementary would be HUGE, as would the power plant. They won't make Moe's Tavern, it's a bar. Anything else isn't nearly iconic enough.
  6. http://www.cheatshee...html/?a=viewall link for the google-fu challenged. oh, I'm a Duke now!
  7. LEGO and Ford have announced some sort of partnership at the Detroit Auto Show. They announced a Mustang and an F-150 Raptor for the Speed Champions line. I wonder if this is another hint that the Technic IP Car could be a Ford?
  8. Chills. The last image/2 seconds gave me chills.
  9. There's always the review threads. The rumors threads just fade away.
  10. Very interested, but as a poor college student with a wife not very appreciative of my LEGO habit, I'll have to defer.
  11. Not really. Every country is different. There's no 'guarantee' that all exclusives will make it to other retailer's shelves, except perhaps as resales, with markup.
  12. I'm so disappointed that you didn't make it in tan. I'm sure there are a lot of parts not available, making that impossible.
  13. Not presently excited for the Hammerhead and whatever that black ship is. I'll save judgement until we get better pictures. CTT looks decent enough, but seems woefully understaffed as far as clones is concerned. One for the AT-RT and one for the tank itself? Yikes. The TIE/A-Wing set is a pretty nice gift for Rebels fans, and OT fans can sell Sabine on BL if they don't appreciate Rebels. One thing I'm wondering about is where the heck is Ahsoka? She'd make a lot more sense in the A-Wing than Sabine, IIRC. What other Rebels set would she be in unless the rumors for a good sized wave of Rebels sets is going to come true? I've got my fingers crossed for a certain CR-90.
  14. Now that TFA has been released in all territories, and has been out for nearly a month in most, do we still have to use spoiler tags?
  15. I think Blockade Runner/Tantive IV makes a lot of sense as a 40th Anniversary set. It was the first image on screen post-crawl, hasn't had a system version in 7 years, and the UCS one is now 15 years old. Even the Planet Series version is three years old at this point. It certainly doesn't hurt that Rebels has it/them, either.
  16. The CGI of the water in Good Dinosaur is simply ridiculous/incredible. The pure computing horsepower at Pixar has to be enormous.
  17. Your Money Or Your Life - Vicki Robin (It's for my Global Economics class)
  18. We got Tasu Leech in the Falcon... Why not Bala-tik or a Guavian Death Gang member for May 4th? Can't argue that he had plenty of dialogue compared to certain other folks.
  19. That rubber on rubber drive might not be able to generate enough contact pressure to drive the wheels if the vehicle is as heavy as it sounds. Unless you think this would drastically reduce weight?
  20. post links to the pictures....
  21. I'll jump on the bandwagon of not loving this set. I built the A-model last night, and I think the most interesting thing about it was the steering rack being installed upside-down. The wheelie bar is ugly, the wheelie function is lame, the frame too narrow or the body shell too wide, several annoying steps in the build... And so on. I'm not even going to bother motorizing it, but I will do the B-model before most likely breaking it up for parts, though. The large number of 15L beams in a set this size was a surprise, and I do like the medium azure, or whatever it's called, but it would have been nice if there were at least a couple more panels in that color instead of black, though. Not sure if I will buy a second for more medium azure and a third pair of tumbler tires, or just order a set of wheels and rims, but I sure won't be stealing the ones off my Tumbler!
  22. Once upon a time, LEGO was about creativity and there was often no set, specific way to use the bricks contained within. The A-model is designed with no regard for a potential B-model, then someone takes the parts and makes something else. Having a B-model is most certainly in keeping with LEGO's ideal of fostering creative play.
  23. Serenity (The follow-up movie to Firefly)
  24. Could just be misinterpretation of information, too. As sets are getting awfully expensive, people might be expecting high-price sets to be UCS, when really they are just big sets at new, higher prices.
