  1. Being a 43 year old in college as a STEM major, sadly my first reactions are: You didn't label your axes No legend included in the last image. I'm not really surprised that the lot counts taper off, TLG makes a finite number of part types, but total part count can comparatively 'approach infinity'. (There are several billions of bricks in existence, but I'd be surprised if there is more than a couple thousand possible lots.)
  2. While it's nice to see your reference photos on which you will base your model, how long before you think you can build it IRL? Wait. That's the brick-built MODEL?
  3. Um, wouldn't this just be called a 4X8? What is the 2 about? Looks really nice, though, and using both sides of the servo is brilliant.
  4. Has anyone here ever made or seen a GBC module based on a real-world machine or location? I have an idea, and last night, I was able to confirm one aspect will work. I have a long way to go, and a couple of VERY expensive parts to obtain before I can actually build it, though.
  5. Holy... I just got my first one of these wheels yesterday. Wow, but that's huge. Worst part is that I need 5 more.
  6. Wow. I'm guessing that you have a shoehorn in your LEGO bin to make that work!
  7. very nice. How many officer ranks have been made? Is it too few for a complete rank chart?
  8. Pretty sure there hasn't been a CTT in Rebels. Did you mean PT or Clone Wars? When Rex and company show up in Rebels, they are operating an AT-TE... They have done a lot of mods to it, so it will always be obvious when we are looking at that one now.
  9. The two TFA Battle Packs Wanted even more troops for the two transports.
  10. I think the videos in the SW booth were not shot with hand-held cameras, but rather 'button' cameras. The angles are strange and move oddly. I think the Tarkin fig looks weird because he's so damn thin in the show. The standard head is just not working for me.
  11. Seriously. It has EIGHT buckets. Looks like at least a few dozen 5X11 panels, let alone other panel sizes. At least 12 of the new ring gear quarters. There's a lot of big pieces in there, too.
  12. So, is 2016 the best year ever for the Technic line?
  13. Then you agree with me that this probably has the same problem other people are having with 3-mode steering alignment issues? Their solution is just to lock out switching if they aren't straight.
  14. Here's a theory: TLG's triple steering modes have the same problem described in the attempts people here have mentioned, which leads to the poor turning radius observed, BUT we don't see enough to know that the problems are occurring, because we only see a few seconds of each mode. Maybe? Either way, can't wait to put it together and find out what they've done.
  15. Nice previews, Henry. I hope your price guesstimates are right. There seems to have been a bit of a price creep over the past year or three.
  16. That group shot with all 4 sets... This car actually competes with the BWE, size/volume -wise. ...and the Claas looks like a standard flagship sized set from any other year!
  17. Count again, Henry, that Capitol is 56 studs wide (4 more than Robie!) and 18 deep. I think your heights are correct, though.
  18. Pleas NOT red. It's a Porsche, not a Ferrari.
  19. This thing is going to eat those bevel gears in the drive mechanism like candy. The color mix doesn't bother me. I do find it funny that the walkway continues up the structure and all the way along the arm to the control gearbox.
  20. Not a farm machine fan, but the 3 steering modes is intriguing to see how they did it. Was thinking this was the least likely set for me, now, I'm not so sure. Might need to get 2 for those wheels, though. :)
  21. Looking at the Porsche first, and this second was a mistake. Certainly not fair to this, which looks like a nice enough set.
  22. The thing I HATE the most about this set is that I don't have it sitting in front of me, ready to build, right now. I like the black, I like the camo, I like the attention to detail, I may have to sell the daughter to get this, but I definitely want it.
  23. 56 studs wide, Robie house is 52 across. I think Robie is deeper front to back, but the Dome looks to be taller. In the end, I think Robie has more overall volume, but it's definitely nice to get a new Architecture set of decent size.
  24. Wow. That Capitol Building is FIFTY-SIX STUDS WIDE! That is huge for this line. Buckingham is 26-wide, and might actually be a square base... I'm liking both, (certainly more than the cityscapes) even if I would really prefer them to get back to buildings by prominent architects.
  25. hinges. We have plenty of sets with 45-degree angles.
