Very sweet little mushroom houses, toutouille! They look pretty in all those different colours. The smurfs are so cute as well. Great job!

Great job fixing up the cinema's facade! It looks much better without the ungainly wedge plates.

Congratulations on the great work! I took such a long time to look at all the photos. Well done on the rat's nest and station building, and the train it comes with is gorgeous.

Eh - by American standards it seems to be inappropriately expensive, but it's a nice model. The cockpit is nice, especially with the targeting computer on the rod that looks like (hopefully) it might retract away.

Great job! The mineral cabinet is very nice all lit up, and I like the laser beams everywhere.

The rotated tower is great, and I love the simple textured surface on the keep. I also like the inclusion of a long-dead centurion!

Very nice! The modern fire station style looks great on an old-fashioned baseplate. The traffic light and overhead projector are nifty additions. If TLG made fire stations like this...

Great job! It looks wonderful with all those windows. The little outward-facing round studs are good little details. The Metropolitain entrance is very nice as well.

FABULAND Month: Fabuland Gaming Hause

Very nice and playful! I wonder who the skeleton used to be. -
The new castle's wall pieces are far from useless - they let children quickly and painlessly build walls for their own castles. BURPs, on the other hand, are of odd shapes and would be difficult for a child with a small palette of bricks - perhaps even just this set and a couple of others - to integrate nicely into a castle wall. Furthermore, from a play point of view, the goodies have a harder time defending against the baddies if their castle isn't obviously built into a mountain, as it would be if one side were made out of BURPs. "Boring walls" means several ways to attack the castle, which means more exciting play for children. And this theme is clearly about playability; why else would so many catapults and flick-fires show their faces in the whole range of sets? On another note, why would LEGO make the baddies obviously human? It's so children can be creative - an option that wasn't really there in Fantasy Era castle, in which the skeletons' and trolls' motives were "kill humans". The red knights' motives are up to the children now, and that is a good thing. Regarding my more general views of the line: the Gatehouse Raid would go first on my list, followed by the Forest Ambush and Gold Getaway. The blue knights' livery makes me reminisce about KK1 when I was younger, and the red knights' shields resemble those of Wolfpack to some extent. I think LEGO have a winner in this line.

Very nice brewery you have, eurotrash. Perhaps, since it looks like it lives in a city, you could add a bar inside or a pub next to it? You could also try making a driveway segment for lorries to pull up next to or behind it and fill up with beer. Good luck adding to this build!

This is so good, whitswj! The trans-yellow and bley colour scheme give me vibes of Classic Space, but then all the bright tiles and stripes confuse me. It's great, the shape is wonderful, the little robotic landing craft is Classic-Spacey - very good all round! And I like all the Death Stars (are they suspension? fuel tanks? something else?).

It looks very nice. I like the dome on top and the judicious use of brick-bricks. From the first two pictures in the flick set, I thought the brown was dk. red!

The tank droid looks much better than I had expected, and the Mandalorian speeder looks great as well. I'm not so fond of Maul - his robotic legs look a little funny (perhaps he's too tall?). Poggle is great and I like Dooku's new haircut. I'm glad we have a good-looking Yoda for once, as well. New Padme is beautiful, and the RGS is fairly attractive for the vehicle, not just the figures.

The way the finger hinges make the flaps at the back flush with the rest of the wings is gorgeous. Very nice!- 27 replies

For such a large building, you made it look very interesting from all sides. Great job with the bus stop and the balconies. The alternation of tan and brown in the three "brick" segments of the building is clever as well.

The windows are beautiful - the yellow glow through them is just wonderful. Great job, guys.

Very nice scene, Lego Junkie. The coke can strewn on the ground is good as are the swings (of course).

Wow, this looks just like an 1830s train! The little red locomotive looks so sweet, and the accents of gold all round finish it of perfectly. Great job!
-
Great job! Very nice rubble in the castle walls. The trench is great, too.
-
The small gatehouse matches the size of the rest of the castle better than the large one does, and if you build a smaller gatehouse you won't feel you have to make everything else bigger to compensate, saving you time, bricks and money. I suggest you use the small one. Interesting use of differently textured and coloured bricks in the gatehouse! Good luck finishing your castle!

This is outstanding, DrLegostar! There are so many great things to look at, such as the judicious use of both old brown and dark brown in the floorboards and the use of shields to make the walls more interesting. Great job on the furniture as well (the trophy cabinets are wonderful)!

The truck itself looks really good, but that you managed to fit PF components inside is outstanding!

Very nice, SalvoBrick! I like the use of orange on the facade.

Nice - you did very well with those oddly-shaped black pieces. I love the jet-engine thing and brake lights at the back, and the little syringes through the front are interesting.
