I've never stepped on a piece of LEGO, but I understand the meme (is that the right word?) about stepping on it. I once stepped on one of those pointy RISK pieces that went straight into my heel. Ouch. Good job on the comic, Bricknave, and nice pants.

(MOC) "Towers Rising" and "A Test of Strength"

Built upon your MOC "A Humble Crossing"? Very good job on the drawbridge - good luck in the challenge. -
[MOC] Smells like Steam Spirit.. A walk in the woods
jimmynick replied to lego-maniac's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Tee hee, a walking castle! It looks jolly good fun, and I like the boiler gizmo you put on the roof. -
Wow, all over! The wrought-iron fence around the villas is a little bit creepy, but the interiors are nice and the trees are lovely . The position of the green house's tower with respect to the rest of the building is a little awkward (maybe it could stick out a little further?), but keep up the good work.

This has so many wonderful details - great job! The sign with all the petrol prices is very recognisable. The little shop is well-done, too, as are the Mini and motorcycle. I love the motorcycle's engine cylinders!

Wow! Great job with this ambulance. The compartment in the back looks a little weird in shape, as though it's a gypsy caravan, but it's still very nice.

The Predator figs are fantastic - great job on the painting. Are the arms custom or painted from Toy Story? If they're custom, would you mind giving us a picture to show how you made them? It must have been interesting to put them together.

Great job there, Mark. It fits in very nicely with the Pet Shop and, colour-wise, with Green Grocer.

That sounds very reasonable, Andrew. I understand that you can't tell us exactly what you were told. I never said I was set on you being scum - I just thought you were the most likely to be scum out of you, Cameron and Claire. So I Unvote: Andrew Clark (Clanure) And now I have to throw my vote at someone else. I don't want to hammer John (does he have 7 votes now?), and Adriano has pointed some interesting weirdnesses out about Brian's behavior, so I will Vote: Brian Johnson (purpearljellyblob)

No - I simply mistyped that. Stupid mistake. I meant Night Two, not last night. I don't know anything about last night other than what we've heard about this doctor protecting Andrew. As for Night Two: I restated what Cameron told me in PM (I only PMed him because today's day thread had gone awfully quiet). I have had a PM going with Claire since Day One, but we haven't talked about that very much. It's from what I get in PM that I think Claire is town (and that's why I defend Claire), but I wouldn't put all my eggs in that basket. To reiterate: I know Andrew is the claimed investigator because Cameron and Claire said as much in this thread. I know that the doctor says she protected Andrew last night because that's what Cameron said in this thread. I know the doctor failed to have an action on Night Two because of what Cameron said in this thread and in a quick PM to me (I first talked to him halfway through the day today). The only person in "Claire and Co." I have talked to for a long time is Claire, and there hasn't been any strategy formulation in that. I do not count myself as in "Claire and Co." Of course I was enthusiastic when Claire's investigator (now Andrew) got a scum result on Simone. Everyone was. We wanted to catch a scum. And that failed, so we need to fix it. It's great that you want to catch scum, but you're going the wrong way. And with that, I Vote: Andrew Clark (Clanure) Because someone in "Claire and Co.", as people call it, is lying, and I don't think it's Claire. It might be Cameron's doctor, but we don't have a name to go by with her (him? I don't know).

That's a very fair point - I hadn't considered that before. But I hadn't scum-read you, so that question hadn't come to mind. Well thus far all we know is that this person says she protected Andrew last night. No-one seems to have said anything about a Night One protection. Last night, what I understand is that the doctor either forgot to send in the action or didn't choose someone to use the action, leaving us without a protection in the night. This could have been deliberate or accidental. I echo the statement about trusting the doctor.

They wouldn't know at all. If Andrew as scum decided to claim cop and take control of the lynch and found nobody to disagree with him publicly (privately as well, I'm sure), then it must be great. They could conclude from that that the investigator is dead. Touching on your 4 options, I rule out A because the town investigator would have called Claire out on a lie in some context and D because someone obviously lied about Simone's allegiance. That leaves B and C, between which I cannot decide. I think it's possible that Andrew and Claire are scum but if I had to pick one it would be Andrew. I've decided that after talking to a couple of people. We have a good 36 hours to vote, so I'll leave my thoughts out for now.

I think the scum got lucky on Night One. I mean, out of 17 or so people to choose, how lucky must you be to randomly choose the vigilante? And that's bad for us. They probably got lucky pushing a lynch or doing a night kill on the investigator (or did scum have more information in the past two days?) I don't get much from the voting patterns now to say much other than no-one has a clue what's been going on, apart from a privileged few (including Andrew, it seems). I agree; I think that possibility (that Claire is being pushed around) is more probable than three scum together pretending to be the core of town. This is key. Needless to say, I'm most suspicious of Andrew at the moment (and, to a lesser extent, Cameron then Claire).
-
We didn't have a sort of "counterclaim" on the investigation yesterday, did we? That makes me think that Claire and the investigator (and Andrew - he said the investigator told him Simone was scum) are in on duping us together, or the investigator is passing Claire bad information. I don't mean to speak for Claire, and she should definitely tell us what's going on, but that's where my first thoughts go. What do the rest of you think?

MOC/MOD: ES co. Retro Steam Locomotive
jimmynick replied to Electricsteam's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I'm of course not old enough to remember that kind of retro LEGO first-hand, but I've played with a lot of my dad's old sets from time to time and this has a great old-timey feel. Good job, Electricsteam! -
Wow! That staircase is a beaut, and so are the cheese slope windows. I'd love to build something like this for myself.
-
Nice! I really like that tall white building - you did a great job with the windows.

Very nice little vignettes you've made. I really like the buildings you make, and these are good distractions from more real-life tasks.

Very nicely built! The contrasting colours on top and bottom are great, and I like the little details on the front of the building.

Claiming after being lynched is a really bad idea if you're a townie. I mean, if you had claimed earlier, we would have stopped the lynch and our doctor would have protected you as you went watching people at night. Also, if you're actually a townie, this only gives the scum more information that they didn't need to know. I still think you're scum - and that's what the investigation revealed.

It started snowing again today, so it's definitely still winter. Great job here - it looks nice in its setting. The little trees are sweet, and the use of the cape as a duvet is very clever.
