Welcome to Ameribricks.com - Major Changes Coming!

Funny joke, but the skin's a bit painful to look at. -
Jabba's Palace is stopping production in 2014
jimmynick replied to Debricker's topic in LEGO Star Wars
"Ending production in 2014" is hardly "withdrawing the set because it's racist". This story doesn't bother me. If I want to get the set, I still have a good year and a half in which to do so. -
Mary Jane, the scum kill looks like it happened after Shawna was expelled. I think there's a new killer on the scum team. Now that Cameron is confirmed town and Shawna is confirmed scum , we can pay closer attention to what Adriano said yesterday: There was a group of four like-minded people who pegged both Cameron and Shawna (and Andrew and Claire, and to a certain extent Burton and me) for scum. Did they agree to choose suspicions that way? Do they communicate with each other? Adriano, I think it's time for us to know who was in each group in the survey and see what we can make from that. Andrew, who did you investigate last night? I know you said on Day Four that the Night Three result cleared Jeanie (marked green above). Who else can we clear? Brian, has the blocker told you whom he / she blocked last night? Can we clear someone from being the apparently new scum killer?

Very nice - clever with the tyres! It looks wonderful; so smooth with studs in all the right places. Great job.

It's quite a skyscraper, isn't it? Great job making the subtly changing shape of the building. Well done.

FABULAND Building: Wedding Chapel
jimmynick replied to Purpearljellyblob's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I like all the little textures you put all around - they really make for an interesting building. You included the Fabuland parts very nicely, too. -
Great greebles all over the place. Clever use of Coruscant, and good job all round!

I have a good friend at Duke. Put me down as Evanston, IL.

Better safe than sorry putting my entry in here. I submit Shawna Sheepkorsky's Helicopter:

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
jimmynick replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
They changed the title sequence again, didn't they? Now we get a flash of the Doctor's face for the first time since the old series and the Time Vortex went all squarish, like it was in Tom Baker's time. The episode itself was OK. -
I got plenty of these, 1x2 green bricks and 2x4 green plates at the LEGO shop in Woodbridge a number of years ago. I haven't been there recently, but I'm sure you'll find some of what you need. @ Cammo The buckets they have up high are just for show; there aren't any bricks in them. The buckets that actually have bricks should be easily reached by people of normal stature.

I have two shops a bit less than an hour's drive from me. I don't go to them, though, unless I'm at another shop nearby. Saves me plenty of money!

Shawna Sheepkorsky needed a way to deliver flowers to and from her shops all over FABULAND. Now, with this helicopter, nothing will stand in her way. Inspired to some extent by the Bell 47, but that didn't make such a good pun. More pictures over on Flickr. Thanks for looking!

The boiler is... wow! Great job getting the silver bands and the yellow panels in not too much space. And the pointy chimney - that's really clever to use horns. Excellent job and welcome to Eurobricks!

I definitely have the time to come, but logistics-wise I might only be able to make the public portion of one day. I also need to build real things.

Can I play? Pictures taken using iPhone 4S, levels adjusted just a tad in GIMP.

Seems I'm on the bandwagon, but I think the blocker's results are good, and Shawna can't explain who expelled Craig. I think, realistically, that Shawna is the scum killer. Vote: Shawna Spencer (Fred Daniel Yam) Adriano, those results of suspicions look interesting. If you wanted, we could keep Shawna around, expel someone else and proxy-vote for Shawna's target tonight. But I wouldn't trust her to do what we want.
-
Whom did you target when you didn't get a kill? Who killed Craig on Night Two then? "Town core" is such a vague phrase - it could refer to anyone who's been in PM with Claire and Cameron. Who do you think constitutes the "Town core"? For me, it's Claire, Cameron, Andrew and Adriano. When voting comes around, I'll have my eyes on Bobby Busch, Mary Jane and Shawna Spencer, among others. But I'm pretty sure Shawna, the confessed SK, will get my vote. Brian, do you know whom the blocker blocked on Nights One and Two, if Shawna was the target on Nights Three and Four?
-
Looks good! The building is pretty solid and those cars are gorgeous!
-
There is definitely precedent for a serial killer siding with town, but I don't think we should risk it and push our luck. If the SK can't tell who's scum, he's probably the scum killer, you know? Re: Burton Guster, he said this when he voted yesterday: While I am suspicious of Burton because he keeps out of the limelight (and only seems to come to class to vote), I don't think those are the words of someone starting a bandwagon. It took 8 votes to convict yesterday, and in the middle of the day we had I didn't get scum vibes from John, so I was surprised to see him lynched. Shawna finished the lynch and got the 8th vote. That's scummy to me. Of course, everyone else on the lynch is deserving of suspicion as well. I mean, where did that bandwagon come from? Quoth Dragonsworth, "Was That Necessary?" ---- Mary Jane seems very keen to expel lots of people today and compromise other people's identities. No - it's the scum killer, not the serial killer. If you did that strategy, you'd have exactly 100% confidence of expelling 2 townies today and tonight, wouldn't you? I'm sure you'd like to know.

This is very different from the Meccano I enjoyed when I was younger. It was always very complicated to put together, but ending up with a great model made from little bits of metal, nuts and bolts was very enjoyable. This is... icky, I suppose. Though a quick browse through Meccano's website shows they have a Tintin license, and that seaplane looks really good and fun to build.
