  1. Hi Hinckley...I have a similar issue with a picture post. I didnt put up a shot of my main interior. Can I swap out one of the posted pics for it or just rely on the brickshelf link.
  2. Thanks everyone for your kind words. Now the madness of Xmas and New Year is out the way & I can get onto my Internet through my laptop... I'll update my brickshelf with more detail pictures of the whole scheme.
  3. edit note [24.02.15]: As promised, I have finally been able to take some time since the end of the contest and photograph this MOC. Things have settled down for me, without going into too many unhappy details, so that all you folks can have a proper look at what I was able to create. Plus, as evident from my current postings, I am also able to be a much more active member on EB and contribute to this fantastic 'Town' forum! That should keep 'lightningtiger' pleased! Apologies again for the poor quality of the original photographs that were entered for this project. They definitely did not do justice to the amount of time and effort that went into this build. And finally congratulations to everyone who entered, it was the one plus over the New Year that I was at least able to enjoy looking at and reading all the amazing entries. Especially the top 3!! Brilliant work!! ..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Please enjoy my entry for this years EB Winter Contest....St. Nicks School for Elves. Located on the edge of Santa town, young elves are taught the skills needed to graduate and be part of Santa's workshop and festive preparations. The staff is made up of elf elders and other holiday characters. At St Nicks you can attend classes in: Christmas Tree Growing Reindeer Care and Handling Toy Building & Workshop Christmas Spirit Mixing Baking & Sweets Also in the school there is the grand hall where the elves gather to receive their honorary 'elf hat' and the top elf gets awarded with the 'Santa Merit Medal'. The school runs a bus to pick up those elves in the harder to reach parts of Lapland, whilst picking up any supplies that the school might need. PICTURE EDIT [24.02.15]: The whole entry, including the School, the Stables, the Greenhouse & the School Bus PICTURE EDIT [24.02.15]: The School with Santa Claus greeting the Elf Headmaster. PICTURE EDIT [24.02.15]: The back of School left open for access to each interior space. PICTURE EDIT [24.02.15]: The class where elves learn to mix 'Xmas Spirit' PICTURE EDIT [24.02.15]: A hidden attic space with all sorts of treasure and loot! Mysterious! PICTURE EDIT [24.02.15]: The elves learn how to do Xmas baking and sweet creation PICTURE EDIT [24.02.15]: The elves learn how to build the many types of toys for Xmas. PICTURE EDIT [24.02.15]: The School hall decorated with a large Xmas tree and pipe organ for those Xmas carol sing-alongs. The Elf teacher also reads out the name of the winner of the 'Santa merit Medal' PICTURE EDIT [24.02.15]: The outer Greenhouse, where elves are taught by Mr Yeti on how to grow and nurture Xmas trees. PICTURE EDIT [24.02.15]: The school bus with snow plough, and laden with supplies for the school. PICTURE EDIT [24.02.15]: The Reindeer Stables, where elves learn how to look after Santa's most valuable travel resource. Wee note....please have a wander through http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=551270 to see the rest of the school. Also I will upload the interior shots of the main school to this link once I sort out my internet problems after the New Year festivities. Hopefully there's enough at the moment for everyone to enjoy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!! edit note [23.02.15]: Please have a gander at the other picture on my Flickr account (and add me if you want too!) p.s. thank you to everyone on EB and the town forum, your activity and posts were a little bit of escapism for me over these last few tough months.
  4. Very nice design with bags full of detail on the smaller plate size...good luck with the contest!
  5. Great entry...really nice build with interesting techniques and details. I love the fireplace...would be great to see what it looks like from the inside. Good Luck in the contest!
  6. Ha brilliant idea...Santa is looking good. Must be padding for his big jelly belly
  7. Very nice scene with loads of great details. The church design is really well done too!
  8. awesome work LT...reminds me of the L.A. Noire game I played a while back. Be really nice with a gangster style car in the lot too
  9. My ideal Christmas present would be that somewhere in the world...cartoon mice and cartoon cats are able to.....fight, to bite, to bite and fight and bite....bite bite bite....fight fight fight Thanks to CopMike and EB for this raffle...Merry Christmas Legopeeps
  10. The king of hardware has dojne i again...great work LT
  11. Wow...excellent concept and execution. The detail to your elevations is excellent and I love the 'lit-up' shot you have on your flick account.
  12. Nice work reducing the details down to this scale...they will fit nicely with the current 2-storey 'Creator' sets...excellent!
  13. Fantastic looking set from TLG...cab't wait to add this one to the collection. Wonder what the cat has done to intrigue our detective??
  14. Nice work...I agree it needs the sidewalk detail to tie it together but I love what you have done to condense it into a narrow 16 plate. Inspiration to get off my lazy megablocks and actually do some building
  15. That is superb! Ingenious use of the original set and still maintaining the house element in the upper floors. Is that Matt Groening peeking out the shop window?
  16. Great work... I love the detail that pays tribute to the 'Classic' Building Style of the 80s sets. I also personally love the 80s planes (even though scale wise they are a bit wee) Cant wait to see more from this project
  17. Very nice work so far...I like the internal layout and the frontage blends nicely into the existing modular sets. Couple of wee design points... The signage could be a bit more obvious for a hospital...might be a uk perspective here but the 'crucifix' emblem (rod of Asclepius) looks a bit scary for a hospital ...maybe soften into your front design. Also your rooftop needs fleshed out a bit, some Air-Con units and access to the roof would really detail that area out. Great work...cant wait to see your next updates...
  18. simply brilliant :D
  19. In hope that cat doesnt eat 'Mr Jingles' :D....great work here monsinjor...a beautiful wee scene
  20. very nice LT.. I was reading through this topic and thought to myself..."no way will LT be able to resist building the full shop building!" I love your interior work and hope to see lots more in this thread.
  21. this is a great concept....i love the incorporation of 'classic' Lego builds as display features....brilliant!!
  22. Ha this is brilliant...what was the inspiration?
  23. once again eurotrash your spot on with your 'real-world' interpretations of lego modulars...love it
  24. wow...your local lego store is cool :D...i also love how your interpreting it in your own build too. cant wait to follow its progress
