Aw now this has taken me back to the sets I inherited from my mum....great 'old school' look Can't wait to see your whole town!

Thanks guys for all your encouraging words...I'm humbled especially as there are some of my favourite EB MOC'ers on this thread :D To clarify my tree design...I was going for a sort of abstract snow covered design...I think it kinda does the trick Sort of like these beauties you see in winter..... Well the MOC bug has truly bitten me....I'll hopefully be posting an extended winter layout incorporating this wee diorama!

Good tidings to you all. Please have a wee look over my entry for this years 'Expand the Winter Market Contest' and be gentle, as this is my first proper fully MOC on EB (why not use this great competition to 'pop my cherry'...so to speak) My entry depicts a pavilion/square for centre or focal point of the market. Overshadowed by a mature 'winter tree' acting as a natural canopy for the activities below. This year, the square holds host to the local 'Ice Sculpting Contest' between the visiting "Ice Road" truckers and the local lumberjacks. The snow has been cleared away and the contest is on!! They are at this moment finalising their sculptures with an array of power and hand tools, ready for display and judging tonight!!! Enjoy.... A father and son look on as the 'sculptors' frantically finish their work View (minus tree) of the sculptors at work Team Lumberjack and their aptly chosen 'Christmas Tree' entry. The "Ice Road" Truckers put the finishing touches to their Snowman entry The display lights are tested before the judging begins later Well there you have it guys, hope you like what I have tried to achieve here. There are more pictures on my brickshelf.... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=537543 Good luck to everyone else thats entering this year... the standard as always is so high and should be a great contest. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!

Wow...someone tie this man down....your an MOC machine. The barber shop addition is really nicely done. A car dealership...excellent...we do love it when LT flexes his car MOC-ing muscles :) ... a pick-up dealership? :)
-
Can I get in on the tag fun too :) Just had my EB 1st birthday and bringing my love to the SW forum....plus will be hopefully joining the ranks of Eurbrikka to unleash my MOC potential :)

Yeah I agree with that point...but the size of the blaster has been designed to shoot a single round plate, therefore function has definitely dictated form :) Im talking about accessories to match blasters from the star wars franchise, without the added 'functionality', which I also think is a cool design and great for interactive play, but not relevant to my needs as an AFOL. The Lone Ranger kits don't have 'single round plate' scaled revolver to shoot wee grey studs at each other. Still won't stop me buying the set though...and as demonstrated above, the new blaster can be modded into some awesome weaponry :)

I love this...I have been following your progress and this is brilliant work!! I don't mind the ageing bricks....battle scarred and marks of experience :P Your interior work is top notch and I love the command bridge/cockpit. The mechanical workings looks great and I hope its robust enough hauling its heavy lego butt about :) I'd like to see your cargo hold filled up with supplies, weaponry etc as the A6 could be stocked with enough kit and consumables for nearly a month :) Amazing work!

Matt_in_Ottawa... I'm not sure what the EB overlords will say...but I reckon you should repost your MOC/MOD into your own thread for C&C and not piggyback this one. I think thats only fair to Xyver and his MOC, plus it will give you proper feedback and discussion on your build!

Nice review....I've not been blown away by the early 2014 releases but I really like this little group minifigs. And nice work on the alternatives for the blasters. It does raise my issue with TLG and their intent on over-scaling certain elements of their kits to satisfy the broader spectrum of Lego fans. I think as Star Wars races towards its 'Disney Destiny'...more and more of our SW sets are going to have more and more "features" and "interaction"...to be able to capture the kids market. Whilst I don't disagree with this (as Lego essentially is a toy at heart) I hope they don't leave behind the AFOL's and the Star Wars fans who grew up with the original trilogy, where HAN SHOT FIRST! :)

Nice work so far eberkain...my dark ages ended to late to grab the UCS Falcon at retail (still my only pet hate of Lego - the stupid mark-up of retired kits and parts....*sigh* must not rant :P) I like your interior work and the cockpit is well designed and more suitable than the original. Nice grille work on the floors too :)

Really nicely designed and detailed entry...I really like the mix of minifigs/dolls and the simple use of colour to focus the scene on the important elements. Really nice work and good luck in the contest!

Haha...this is another really original and funny entry! I love the mechanics and the build of the tank & water. Good job and good luck in the contest!

Nice entry LT...I always love your details in your build...especially the snow blower :) I hope my entry can match your high standards :P great work and good luck in the contest! -
Aww this is a great entry...funny and original. I love how the roof tiles are designed...I may try out this technique for my winter MOC for under the tree :) Good job and good luck in the contest!
-
This is really nicely put together entry and the mechanical feature sets it apart :) great work and good luck in the competition.

Nice review...seems that TLG has missed the mark with this one. Which is a shame as the the Vulture Droids where only one of a few things that I liked from the prequels.
-
This looks like a great project...can't wait to see it brickbuilt. You have really captured the architecture brilliantly with your design and detailing.
-
Very nice work :) I love the style as I am also a fan of the Airport tenders. Great job!
-
Wow this has packed so much build quality and detail into the confined space. I really like the games and the mechanical ride round the back :) good luck!
-
A very nice original concept for this contest. I like the detail if the booth and the queue of Lego blokes that I would imagine could continue into another few baseplates. ;)
