Very nice work...my bike shop and cafe is still in their bags...will have to get off my lazy butt and mess around with them. I like our table tennis enthusiasts wee apartment...very nicely done!

Can't wait to see the brick built version that either you or someone (maybe me ) could try!

Nice work...I like how you have progressed the interiors and gave all the individual spaces their own character and identity. The external design needs a wee bit of refinement though. There's something not quite coming together with the front elevation detail and massing. You should look to redesign the front to capture the classic Palladian Villa architectural style. Try to emphasise the entrance portico and give the building more sense of scale and balance. See these pics for what I mean.... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/47/VillaCornaro_2007_07_14_front_1.jpg https://discoveringdisegno.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/villa-chiericati-vancimuglio-palladio-9.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/52/Villa_Foscari_20070710-1.jpg I think increasing the significance of the stairs and columns will really lift this WIP and get you on the right track.

Superb work...especially as its your first crack at this type of build. I love the little ingenious deatails (the door hinges, brick built wings, the wing props etc) that all come togther to make this a really in depth build. Especially at this scale...fantastic! Love your colour decor work....hope to see you progress and develop more of these builds!

Yas....its nostalgia Thursday. Just a glimpse of that beautiful hospital set (TLG's best!! in my opinion) has made me smile so much. I remeber taking that set in as a Primary 3....(aged 7) project to build with my best mate in my class, during an activity day . I really like how you have redesigned the old vehicle to suit your own taste and style! Im not too convinced by the sloped rear...but I like the squared off front and the solid decal panels at the back too. Now Im gonna dust off my old set and hit the reviewers academy...

*sigh* LT...trust you Great design, very sleek and cool! I'd love to see the rest of vehicles you have incorporated into your city, as I am definitely on the side of MOC vehicles in Town and Modular builds.

Ah brilliant...I liked this when I saw it as part of your Ice-cream Parlour Post. I really like the modern style you have imposed on this build and the 'F' sign is cool! Love the shop bursting at the seams with all things Lego Flowery Goodness

Sensational....I agree with all of the above comments!!!

Nice start to your project...I like the corner aspect you have developed and looks like your heading in the right direction. I like the ground floor brick reveals at the windows. Just a wee point on your vehicle...and don't take it personally as it's been a point I like to chuck in when I see it. I would try and develop a more realistic or bespoke vehicle for your modular design. I personally feel that the stock Lego cars in particular, fit a certain mould to suit playability and robustness of design (chunkier tyres, 4-wide chassis etc). There are some fantastic vehicle designers, especially in Town....ER0L for one....that have many designs you could look at for inspiration. Also maybe work on the Signage at the upper floor, the wee sign at the entrance works well, but the one up high bit be a wee bit too small. Cant wait to see this progress.

Fantastic narrative...you must be an architect Id like to see the original built alongside to see how it sits in context and if your elevation details and design strategy hold up against the existing building. Looking forward to this!
-
Its a nicely put together piece, but something seems off with the scale. I think the blades need to be more significant in size to the main column. Other than that...this will look great brick built.
-
Wow...this is looking really cool. I love the design of the building and your 'sandcrawler'esque' vehicle. Brilliant. If your looking to fill it...try getting a lot of trans clear objects (cups, wine glasses, beakers etc) and design out a working lab. I did this with my Winter Contest Build and found it a lot of fun! (hopefully be putting some proper pics up of that soon). Plus some living accommodation but more suitable for this type of research centre? The only other thing I would suggest would be to build up your exterior and work on your Arctic landscaping. Check out some of the recent Winter builds for snow techniques (tracks, dunes etc) and I think it will really set your building up well Great work!

Ha...this s ai great idea for the Arctic theme. Love it!

First one out the box and you deliver this wee beauty....great work. I love the details and the colour scheme! Plus your use of setting a scene with the landscaping is second to none!

this is fantastic to see...Im with the general consensus and believe that the brick built 80s-90s planes were much more appropriate for larger layouts and simply better models. The larger ones, are only at a better scale in my opinion. I do find myself occasionally picking my way through ebay to find the odd 'classic' plane to add to my fleet

Superb build....I love the brand colouring and all the fantastic mini builds to stock out your store! Looks like there's a new 'Hardware Store' master builder in town lightningtiger Maybe in the spirit of all things 'Hardware Store' related (also with the release of 50 shades and its Hardware store themes ) that a EB Hardware Store Contest would be pretty cool

Ha very nice and original MOC here. I agree that shiny new bricks make it look to spotless. I can see a good use of the nasty 'yellowed' white bricks we all avoid now!
-
Genius work that tricks you into thinking the hull is a single moulded piece. Wonderful!
-
Aw I love the scale of this project...you have got it absolutely nailed. The shop-front and signage is very imaginative and I really like your sloped glazed roof-light. I've also never seen your florist MOC...looks really cool and contemporary. I shall be lending my support to you on IDEAS. I'm sure lightingtiger will be along to lend his support and praise...these creations would look really great in his Manum builds

Brilliant work. I love these wee 'Architecture' inspired projects...something I need to try and do. You have really been successful in depicting the landscape and building as one piece.
-
Brilliant design and great use of parts to achieve the steering mech. Love it!

Wow...I don't know where to start with the praise. What a brilliant piece of not only Lego design, but architectural design. The curved glass wall is brilliantly done, with the glass portal entrance! The details are carried out perfectly and your wee staff uniforms (aprons) and barista is excellent. I love the roof garden with its Giant Coffee on the corner! All your exterior aesthetics are great, switched the grooved bricks really brings, what would have been a bland wall of colour, to life! My only teeny weeny gripe...and I loathe to say it as this is such a great MOC...is the Roof Terrace depth at the corner that overhangs the curved wall space below. I think it looks a wee bit thin and unsupported. Whilst this is achievable in legoness I always like MOCs that still have some structural realism...its doesnt have to be thicker or chunky...but perhaps have some sort of cool structure or supports that makes it look less suspended. Great work and you have just gained anoter flickr follower
