Lego PF Connector Internals
weavil replied to S.I's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well if you got some old ones try some of it. Or like 26 gauge wire of some kind. -
When you upload on Bricksafe it has an option to import your whole BS stuff. Haven't done that option yet because of redoing the links. Edit: He said it as I was typing.

Must be nice to do pick of your orders. Legoland and the discovery center is 2 hours south and the closest BL seller is 2 hours north. So the shipping from any USA BL store is cheaper than fuel. So if pick up is cheaper and/or easier, go for it.

Lego PF Connector Internals
weavil replied to S.I's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Something like this http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062656&znt_campaign=Category_ Or some small wire. -
I look for a store with most of what I want or need right now and get from one store. It's on average about $40-$50 and shipping is $3-$5. I guess just get enough from a single store to get the most out of the shipping. Be careful thought, some stores have a tier for shipping by wieght or money amount. Happy shopping and try to avoid the "kid in a candy store" look!

I think Bricksafe is the best. Been using it since you made it (I think). Clean, simple, and free resizing. Sorry for the free host to it, but I like to look at other creations on brickshelf but it down.

[Moc] Moonshine Rocket (front engine dragster)
weavil replied to Jonsson's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That looks spot-on perfect. They are refered to as "Sling Shot" dragsters. Right? -
MOC of the YEAR! That's all I can think of for this beauty!

Was sorting last week and got tired/side tracked. Took the front of a car and was like "what could I do with this?" So piece by piece Unikitty was happy to have her own ride! Unikitty and my daughter love the new ride and I hope you do too.

I did the truck with bigger wheels, but it looked like a mini monster truck. And the convertible didn't look bulky when I had it built, but l might make it again for pictures. Mr. Yeti's car I wanted to make a sports car and tinkered around with it for few weeks till I was happy. I got some other stuff in the works right now.

Love the engine detail! Awesome job on the car too! -
I don't normally talk in the Town forum (usually in the Technic forum), but would like to show some of my tinkering. I am slowly and currently adding to my bricks. (and filtering out the MB) It's just a few things I feel are, hopefully, good enough. Sue Ann and her truck. Mr. Yetti and his sports car. Finally I wanted to make a working convertible. The real version went back into sorting, but I have the LDD version. Thats all I got for now. Here are a few more pictures...http://www.bricksafe.com/pages/weavil/2014/Town%20Vehicles

Tire 13 x 24 compound
weavil replied to Doc_Brown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have the smoother ones from sets I got in the early 90's. The have been on the original rims ever since. Until recently, taking the rims to mess with for ideas, the rims are now a little soft. Oh well, they still work as a tyre. -
Batteries

http://www.harborfreight.com has there brand @ 2200 mAH. Their brand heavy duty non-rechargable are excellent. They seem to last forever. As long as you don't let their rechargeables go dead, there great too. -

Is there a story? That is one of the greatest things I've seen! It would be so awesome to see it in a brick-flick. ....What I said made me think "What if it was in Monty Python and the Holy Grail?"
