Another update: 4.3 parts?!
weavil replied to JopieK's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Just doing a quick look and it looks like: all the collectable minifigs and parts. (series 1-10) the Lego Friends accessories, pets (even series 1 and 2 pets) more minifig parts and accessories then I realized. looks like all but 2H 2013? I think new baseplates new vehicle parts some new city/town parts and accessories maybe a few new castle building parts new Technic parts a little bit of everything else Now this just what I seen at a glance. I might be wrong, I might be wright? -

While it updates as I type, it says "Updating: XXXX/3590". So is that changes/addition of 3590 parts? -
How to take apart older u-joints?
weavil replied to Junpei's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Look Here Hold it like this. Where the arrow points, use something small to pop it off! I used my thumb nail to pop it off. But they are siff and stubborn, however the older one is a little softer plastic. -

For what I'm building it is fine because it won't have that much load going in or out. But thinking about it, it would make a great outrigger design. It would fold out like this: Then it would extend out. If you look at This one it would work great for an outrigger. -
While work on a prodject mine looks like this too. But I have a smart phone with me for quick research. Got no room on my half of the table for my laptop, daughter has the other half with her LEGO Friends. I got an 8043, some extra lift arm, and a fair amount of older studded Technic like the Black Cat (my favorite till I can get the 42009). But I'm on a fixed income so my collection my not grow till I can get a job or my mom gets retirement.

It's studless, has wheels, and complicated. Oh and it' a truck. With trying to stay with the look of the real thing its hard to get everything right from the begining. I will try to have more pictures of version 1.0 in a couple of days. Got to get more of the front end done for more of an official prodject release. And I'm try not to modify anything other than pneumatic hoses. I have a cat, need I say more ! -
Finally, as the title says, felt like it was time. But I think it was tired of hide in the big mess on the table. It's more like a version 0.5 in the pictures, but have improved it some. I will need to improve it in time, but its a start for now. Sorry I'm lazy and didn't resize them so I could put some in the post. They are just teasers. Don't want to show to much yet. And here they are!

Thanks Calabar and pbat. I also noticed a couple of days ago that in Extended Mode it has double of some pieces, no name or noticable differance, or old style/design and new style/design. Like the 1x2 brick it has with and without pins on the bottom. why would they do that?

I'm not new to LDD or Friends (or legos in general), but got some new person/stupid questions. 1. How can I get, find, or create the Lego Friends pets/animals? 2.How can I add some of the Friends sets to the "Official LEGO Sets made in LDD" even with the pets or stickers missing? My daughter loves the Lego Friends and LDD. So she wants them on LDD, so now I got some done and no pets or stickers. I also figured I could add them to LDD index. I'm also working on building a compete Heartlake City in LDD with all the sets and adding to it as more come out.

Awesome ride. But I feel sorry for Thing when he drives it, because wouldn't the intake make a big blind spot for him??? -
Custom parts
weavil replied to AKM_76's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
tried all combination of 32209, 32073, 61903, and 9244. Nothing worked. So I had to swap them. And turn out need the other "new custom U-Joint" (since it makes 2 of them) for another situation 10 minutes later... -

That's what I thought of doing when I eventually get some CV joints. I had to do a custom U-Joint (sort-of), here are they pictures. https://www.box.com/s/ai8gf6r6n3l1vb50tlsn https://www.box.com/s/5raxgadpk2h7008gna9v https://www.box.com/s/twamj3wjplv9bxr66ikl -

Those official instructions are awsome! I had to play around and made these: http://www.box.com/s/dolby11suo913qtcormz http://www.box.com/s/dolby11suo913qtcormz Not the best (or worst in this case), but hey, they fail! -

Took some pictures for an idea on the fix. https://www.box.com/s/pnzogrifi7j9xtukb7gw https://www.box.com/s/w5ja8gr1ceg4rdcjy117. Just make sure it's as small of bit you got. so you don't drill threw the side and a screw small enough to screw in but not split (might stretch a hair, but hard to notice). and it will be lighter now too!!! -

Hi eveyone, new here. I did similar before and had to use a tiny drill bit and a tiny screw to undo the stupid. 1. Make hole in the end of axle 2. Drive in screw 3. Remove axle 4. Screem and curse about being stupid -
I noticed spongebob and squidward, no faces on or for them. Any help or lost cause?
