offset axles
weavil replied to Dans lego's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Also the front diff is offset on the same side as the transfer case output. This reduces the angles of the U-joints. Like in your picture, the output of the transfer case should be on the left. -
Efferman's Custom Parts
weavil replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
As soon as I can I will order that portal hub for 62,4. Might be another month, but it looks perfect! -
Glad to finish my dream house. Slightly larger scale than Minifig scale, but wanted to do something different. It has 11,188 bricks, open concept, and (mandatory) Lego room. not my choice of bedroom colors. Daughter said I had to make it prettier. Here is the topic. More picture-->HERE LXF

Thank you. And I just noticed I forgot the rest of the title: "Dream House Free Build" Progress: And shot of the bathroom.
-
You could download LDD of the vehicle and try changing the vehicle that way. Then buy the parts to change the brick version.

Here is some of conest house. It was easier to make each room then add them to the house. I wanted something bigger than Minifig scale. The bedroom. The dining room. The living room. A dresser. Another desser. The TV and stand. And finaly the kitchen. HERE is the rest of the screen shots. Will have some of the house later tonight.

This my sound silly, but what scale does the Free Build have to be? Like Minifig scale or can it bigger?

Efferman's Custom Parts
weavil replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Or have a axle hole like the big shock on either black or yellow, basically a smaller version of the big shock. Then use a tan/blue axle pin to attach it to the hub. -
Slot in headlight brick: crack stopper?
weavil replied to badbob001's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That the one. I have some that are cracked also. I say get some new pieces for exterior and the cracked ones for out of sight use. That's what I do with mine. -

weavil replied to astakos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Those were my reactions too! But... -How long do the batteries last? -How much can it pull? -What is the maximum angle it can climb? Anyways very impresive!!! -
Then sell the Minifigs then donate the rest to me!!! HA HA!

You might have a business shaping up here! Buy bulk lots for cheap-sell complete sets-keep leftovers.

Pre-Built systems
weavil replied to Lakop's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I too have but so many parts. So when I make a "pre-built system" I put onto LDD for later use. Or I'll but a system/module in LDD or other CAD, then if I get the money I can build it. -
2014 Technic in North America?
weavil replied to weavil's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thats one thing I was thinking... or... 1H becomes 2h... 2h becomes 1h/1Q 2015. So should I buy two 42009 or one 42009 and some stuff off of BL, sence I might not be able to buy any 2014 models? -
