  1. Any front wheel drive car has a Rack and Pinion steering that works just like the Lego parts. I just thought, could the Braiding Machine work as an example?
  2. Execellent job as always. What are the final deminsions?
  3. What size tire are you going to use?
  4. That's why it's version 1. 2 L motors should fit with no chages. You would have to make some chages to fit 2 small batt-packs, or thake out the rear seats. Windshield and the front end, I was running out of red, and seen the angle was off, but got lazy, sorry.
  5. Here is the video...
  6. But the massonry brick is wanted by everyone. So you either buy a set or two with them, hope their are some on a PAB wall, or pay a slightly higher price on BL.
  7. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=98283 But that one set that has that one unique piece that everyone and thier mom wants is in there because TLG had no choice but to make/use that piece to make the set work. It was talked about before on here. If they can not find a way to make a work around or redesign the set, then the make a new mold or pull an old mold off the shelf to use. Thats why sometimes you see a "new" part, but it is an old part from like 5 years ago.
  8. There are other stores at BL that sell pneumatic hoses per cm. Try to Google. I got some 3mm brass tubing from a hardware store.
  9. "The abundance of black parts in sets does seem like the most likely cause." That is the reason. And for that reason I have in order highest first... 1.BLACK, 2.YELLOW, and from resent purcheses, 3.RED. "use black only for areas I'm trying to draw the eye away from...or for decorative details on a brightly colored (body)" Is half the reason that LEGO does too. The other half is it's cheaper to produce. (fewer black pellets are needed to make black, versus other colors. Thnk of it like making chocolate or strawberry milk) I too am trying to increase my color pallete. But I also realized that in the real world most vehicles, or what ever, are black under their candy coating of sorts.
  10. Normal 2 part epoxy works good with ABS, just make sure it is mixed right or it will fail. I had thought of doing a MOC with this http://www.hobbyexpress.com/brass_tubing_3mm_od_31083_prd1.htm for most of the pneumatic lines.
  11. Thank you. It does run with 2 M motors. It is geared with two 12t and one 20t gears.
  12. Thank you. That was the idea. I never seen anything with a removable body or next to zero holes on the body. So I decided to do both, and send my self off the deep end! Yes parts played a big part building. I had a crap load of black beams and no black 3x11! However with the beams it was easier to make it sturdy (so to speak). I had to, alot of time though, build, take apart, and rebuild different "steps" either because I had to retrieve a piece or two, or it didn't work with the other "steps". Then recently I got the 42029 and rebuilt the outside of the body. Yes it works, but until the support for the 8t gear starts to come loose.
  13. Note: This only includes WIP pictures as the final pictures got deleted. After months of silence, I have finally finished. The Soul Sucker Weekend Racer. Version 1.0 An overly ambitious project using most of my parts, time and mental stability. It has PF M motor x3 (2x for drive, 1x for steering), receiver x1. The idea of this was to have a removable body, engine, transmission, seats, and rear end. I realized during the build that i was in over my head, but kept going, and got burned out half way, dragging out to the finish. 14. Just uploaded pictures to bricksafe and feel the burden lift off my shoulders. I have been burning and burning on this moc for too long and burn out. Some nights I might fiddle for a little bit and be satisfied with the placement of three parts. Now I can take a break for a day or two then start a new, less ambitious project.
  15. But they got to do something to stay the #1 tire manfacturer in the world. It is sad that tires rule Technic, but it is worse the the tracks/treads don't even put a dent in it either. The main thing to they need to stay in business and tires (in this case) sell.
  16. What about - 8268 - 8269 - 8046 - 8825 - 8640 ?
  17. Amazing!!! I love the campfire!
  18. I think it is excellent for parts. I got one for the parts. Like 57515 is crazy price on BL, but some of the more complex parts are cheaper.
  19. That's true with how simple the instructions are now, vs. my first set
  20. With the large amount I have, I only broke two forks. But that was because of too much force.
  21. When I'm working with Technic in the living room my daughter (now 6) will come and start taking the part and tinker with making stuff.
