  1. Hello, I am reaching out to all 12v train users. I recently purchased and received a 12v train (the 7725). Unfortunately the motor is dead, I put it on the track after building the whole model and setting all the track up to find it not moving. At first I thought maybe if it hadn't run in awhile it would need a little help. That didn't work so I tried it by just connecting a wire to the motor itself and gently moved the wheels. The motor started to produce a light smoke so I immediately shut the power off and haven't tried anything since. I did see some life though at one point, it did move about 1/16 of a turn at best and I could hear it trying to move. If the seller is cooperative hopefully I can work something out with him. If not I was hoping many people on this forum could lead me in the right direction. Here is what I know about the motor: It looks to have been opened before. It is the version with the separate bogie pin. From what I can see there is some hair spun around the axles. I am wondering if I need to completely give up on the motor or if there is a way to fix or replace just the motor inside. I am really lost and would love any help that someone could give me. I looked for awhile but I haven't found a post about someone having the same problem as me. Even if someone has a broken lego casing for the motor but there electrics still work I could be interested in that as well. Thanks, -RailCo
  2. Ah, okay thank you. -RailCo
  3. Thank you all for the help with the traction tires and my question about the wheel spacing I was curious if anyone could explain this: He has the wheels right up against each other in his MOC. Thanks -RailCo
  4. Hello all, I have a quick question about the BBB medium wheels. I noticed many people have made MOCs with them and have been able to make the non-flanged wheel and the flanged wheels (i.e. an 0-6-0) be right next to each other. I am not sure how people did this because my non flanged wheel is the same depth as the flanged wheels. Also, I was wondering how people put traction tires on these wheels. Thanks! -RailCo
  5. dang I missed this... maybe another time. -RailCo

  8. Hello All, I am looking for 12v trains that are 100% complete along with track and transformers to start my 12v collection. I am in the U.S. so I have had a hard time finding any 12v trains for a decent price. Please comment here or PM me with information if you are willing to sell any Thanks, -Cameron Muir
  9. Hello! I have noticed recently that I can't buy any Lego from any other amazon site than my home country. I am curious why this is? Also since I cannot buy Lego internationally anymore from amazon, does anyone know of other shops from the UK or Europe that ship to the U.S. internationally they can recommend. All suggestions appreciated -RailCo

  11. AWESOME! Please keep us updated when you get all of your train products out there! Amazing! -RailCo
  12. @Lowa I noticed in your ncontrol software there is a "Light" or signal in your layout. Are you planning on making a signal that we can use for 9V that would stop our trains when the light is red and let them go when the light is green? Great Work overall! -RailCo
  13. Thanks @M_slug357, @jrathfon, and @dr_spock for all the input. I actually really like the train till I say the way they incorporated the motorization, that's what has been putting me off. -RailCo
  14. Well I'm glad you didn't outright take my idea because that happens often enough haha. Also sorry for the Lego Ideas link I abandoned that months ago because it never got any support but I never expected it to anyway. Thanks! -RailCo
  15. Well that's nice... They seemed to have stolen my idea as their own. LEGO Ideas Project! 90-Cross Track! Please check it out give it a support and share if you find it really appealing. 16. my question to everyone is: Is it worth it for a train guy to pick up the Winter Village Train? Thanks -RailCo
  17. Is it just me or does the price of the metal track seem a little high. It really doesn't have any competition in pricing with the original Lego 9V track. I still might pick some up though. -RailCo
  18. Wow! This is extremely well done! I love the exterior with the plants giving the building a little pop! Makes me want to build my own! Amazing job! -RailCo
  19. ugh darn I was almost finished and ran out of time oh well maybe next year. Great entries! -RailCo
  20. I have always wanted to build a better carriage like yours for the Emerald Night. Is it fairly expensive to make a nice carriage like that one? Great Video! -RailCo
  21. I am very jealous of you right now! Good small collection! Welcome to Eurobricks! -RailCo
  22. Just wait until you get him another train... there will be Lego bricks flying everywhere. As for the light set you can purchase them from Lego S@H for about $7 and they fit into the train very nicely. They do not give you instructions on how to put these lights in but as you build you will be able to notice there are pathways that wires can go through from the IR Receiver to the cab of the train (Lego is sneaky this way). You can buy the light set here: https://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Power-Functions-Light-8870 If you need any help installing the lights later on I am sure many of us could help you if need be! Welcome to trains! -RailCo
  23. Well just like anything that isn't used for awhile it needs some time to get used to moving again. Model railroaders call this "running in" where you run just the motor or just the locomotive for 30mins forwards and backwards. This should help A LOT! Good Luck -RailCo
  24. I know I may get shamed for this but I am actually wondering how authentic these are from what I have seen they are EXACT to the real thing. Yes I am a die-hard lego Fan and never buy knock-off but maybe if there is something cheap enough I would get it like the Porche model because although I wan the porche I would never pay $300 for it. Just curious -RailCo
