Here This might give you a rough idea: http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=10194-1 And this: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?S=10194-1&ColorID=0 Also I would look on ebay and check the "Sold listings"/"Completed Listings" box to see they have previously sold for. I would take you up on this offer but I don't have those sets or $400-$500 to buy that set off you Hope this helps! -RailCo

I may of missed this but where could we get these tracks and how much (roughly) will they be each? Thanks -RailCo

That looks really good! I actually really like the idea of taking a cheap knock off and making it so much better. Good Work! -RailCo

Consequences of the Brexit for buying Lego
Rail Co replied to Wardancer's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Well as of now in the U.S. I cannot buy any lego as it says it does not ship to the U.S. so I am assuming for now you cannot purchase lego for the UK but this may just be due to the dip in pound to U.S. dollar conversion rates. -RailCo -
As always LT12V your models are always so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your wonderful art with us! Impeccable! Keep it up! -RailCo

Amazing! I love how you painted the wheels to have the white trim (Even if it wasn't intended I like the flaking of the paint it makes it look used). I really love all of the piping you used and such good detail! Great Job! -RailCo

I feel like people are starting to get really negative and somewhat rude in this topic. So everyone take deep breath and smile Lego releases the city trains FOR KIDS. They don't lack effort at all they design them for a young audience and don't put delicate details that kids will break of and maybe lose in their collection somewhere are they have to keep repairing their model which isn't fun for them. They are meant to be a fun toy that will give kids hours of fun not be a collectors item with a bunch of detail all over them and basically be a collectors model. Now the expert line I thought was very well crafted. Sure the Horizon Express was basically half a train and sure the emerald night had a very simple piston rod issue (Which could be fixed with very little parts). The Winter Train or Winter Village Train will be a D2C set according to the rumors and will probably be a mix between goo for adults and good for children. I do not think it will be a recolored Constitution that was just a screenshot from a game we really can't base it off a game for kids really can we.... That's my 2 cents -RailCo

Overall Great Model! Also if that is the vintage giant camera used with the red piping you have one me right there! Great Job -RailCo

Thank you all for your great comments! Personally Power functions was a must for this model to really come to life when being displayed. @Sorrelon Thank you very much for the suggestion I was thinking about extending the wings length but I never thought of making them wider I'll have to experiment with that when I find the time! @LittleJohn Yes I agree that it does seem a little blocky I am running low on green sloped pieces so I may have to order a few soon! Thanks for the suggestions! Thanks for the support! -RailCo

I honestly don't think there will be a PF 2.0 anytime soon... Unless you can prove me wrong, it would make no sense for them to release a whole new system... -RailCo

Thank you both for your very nice comments and compliments I am guys you both like it. Do you have any suggestions on how to improve for future projects or this one itself? Thanks -RailCo

Hello all! I am usually a train guy so I don't know many of you but today I wanted to show you my scenic flour mill (windmill). Enjoy! The Old Flour Mill was inspired by many old Lego sets available in the 1970's and I always thought they were so cool. I wanted to make a nice windmill but also add playable features like "grinding" wheat (or bricks) into flour by using a renewable energy source to teach kids about conserving energy as well. Also recently Lego has not produced windmills but wind turbines. I wanted something more classic and more rustic that would fit into some nice scenery. I also wanted it to be motorized so I added a hidden battery box that is exposed in the back along with an M-Motor under the scenery to power the whole mill. A scenic garden that can be expanded outside of the model An old style windmill design to appeal to all ages! I hope you guys enjoy it. As always with any of my work all constructive criticism is welcome! Suggestions are highly encouraged. You can support it on Lego Ideas here!: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/140939 Thanks! -RailCo

I assume it could be scale speed though right?

This hobby is meant to be fun and somewhat soothing. Build for you first no matter what you build. If people don't like it that just means they don't have the same view on your build as you. Make sure to have a budget and make sure you have fun! -RailCo

@LT12V I was actually thinking of doing that but it seems to run fine at the moment so I will keep that thought in mind! and my concern with the tender was it seemed a little bland on the sides and was wondering if I should added piping or tubing or valves to add some extra fine detail to the model Thanks -RailCo
-
I would subscribe the magazine but my concern personally is the cost of the magazine and the quality of the magazine and if subscribing I could have the option of a digital or print copy. I would love to contribute but I am not sure what I could do for the magazine to be honest Very Interested -RailCo

@ScotNick Thank you very much for your kind comment I think I will go with brick built, something to work on next weekend! @LT12V Thank you very much feel like the tender isn't detailed enough on the sides but that's just me. Thanks again! -RailCo

Canvas Rail has a very nice saddle tank engine (0-4-0) that has all the power functions components including lights squeezed into his design. You may be able to consult with him and split the project between the two of you although I am not sure if he modified parts you will have to talk with him or get his contact information LEGO dark blue saddle tank steam locomotive with open ended passenger carriages modded from 60051 high speed train by Canvas Rails, on Flickr Hope that helps ad beautiful train by the way -RailCo

Thank you very much my goal in the trains I make is to give it that classic feel since I was born in the 90's I never truly got into trains till the Emerald Night came out so I love the classic era that I never got to experience. Also I am not familiar with the 'Railway Series' only Thomas and friends which is what I remember as a kid. If you have suggestions let me know -RailCo

Always inspiring models that you make LT12V. I always am in awe of your building style because I can't even build a decent classic looking locomotive (Which is still in progress but no one seems to like). Simply Beautiful locomotive! You've done it again! -RailCo
-
I understand that it could possibly not go through but every project has that risk, I would love to get to 10,000 but even if it doesn't I can still enjoy it! -RailCo

Update #1: It can roll! The main thing is that it had wheels and can now run on the track which I have tested and it doesn't derail!(Always a plus). You may also notice it has a longer boilr and there are slight differences here and there. LEGO Classic Train Project update #1 by Rail Co, on Flickr LEGO Classic Train Project update #1 by Rail Co, on Flickr I would love to get feedback along with I need major help with locomotive detail for the wheels and making the chassis look more detailed. Also how I should do buffers and magnets, should I go and buy the Red Lego buffer stops found on the 7750 or make my own and attach them to the front and trailing wheels bogies! Thanks RailCo

Hello Everyone! Today I present a few instruments that are minifigure scale. I noticed that Lego has never really released any music related sets. So I thought would create my own! The instruments I have made so far include a string bass, a snare drum, a French horn, and a piano. I have posted it on Lego Ideas If anyone would like to support: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/135773. Enjoy!
