  1. Yep, I LOLed....
  2. ^^ Bwahahahaha! Vodka AND Lego AND a Camera. You have a lot to learn young Padawan. And don't forget "What happens in Coruscant, stays in Coruscant"
  3. When I modded my Palace Theatre into Palace Carpets (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=96512) one of the earlier design ideas was to turn it into the Palace Gentlemen's Club with curtains, a lighted catwalk, pole and private booths. I started building but it quickly got a bit skeevy and too seedy even for my economically distressed town and so I shelved it. But good luck!
  4. Evolutionary Response Turtle Since the start of the motoring era Turtles have always been on the losing end of any accidents as they tried to cross the road, but recently Scientists have discovered an extraordinary evolutionary response. Behold the Double yellow line Turtle! This gene mutation allows it to rest hidden from traffic in the middle of the road and enables it to catch its breath before it dashes to the other side. Nature is Awesome! There's an additional image on Flickr of the underside https://flic.kr/p/ojeAny and the two eyes are held in place via technic axles wedged into a 1 x 2 Technic Brick with 2 holes (p/n #32000). Also I can confirm that fits exactly within an 8 x 8. Edit: I change the temporary image with one with a white background and tidied up some of the text.
  5. Hell yeah! I'm in.
  6. I agree with the others who've pointed out there seems to be plethora of Police themed sets. Please can we have some more buildings! Although some new sets in the construction theme is welcome...
  7. Good looking greenhouses! I like this. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  8. Excellent vehicle! How about we call it a Unimod?
  9. I like the scale of the tall buildings - it's an impressive cityscape!
  10. Hahahahaha! I saw the thread title and my heart sank as I'm working on the finishing touches to the facade of my own Japanese restaurant but I'm a final BL order and probably a few days behind you! But your's is excellent! The facade and the red doorway structure is really good and the approach you've used for the roof is very effective. But it's your interior that stands out - there's some nice design touches (I used the same decorated glass panels). Congratulations!
  11. Good looking facade with unusual Technic-part usage, interesting interior, lights and - if I squint my eyes a little bit then I can imagine - THE BLUES BROTHERS ON STAGE! Though I can't work out what you've made the yellow scalloped edge to the bar from... I like it!
  12. Have fun Luke! I think you'll receive a warm welcome for Heat when you post it here. #DidYouSeeWhatIDidJustThere?
  13. I'm putting the finishing touches on the facade of my latest MOC and this time around I'm not going to do an interior. My other MOCs have all had their insides gutted for spares and I found that I was reusing the same bits and pieces over and over. In fact there's the same bathroom in the Tractor Supply Co/Miss Fiona's Dance Studio http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=88656, Blue Octopus Bar http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=92167, Abandoned Factory http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=93734, and the Traditional Bus Stationhttp://www.eurobrick...showtopic=96121 I've used the same basic kitchen components in multiple builds as well. I admire those who can do amazing interiors and come up with new and exciting ways of doing things, but - for a while at least - I'm going to focus on facades. Edit: I've just checked and I used the bathroom in the Flop house/Soup kitchen as well http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=85890
  14. It looks good - the gazebo, bridge and elephant are well done. I'd eat there!
  15. It's an excellent resource. I look forward to reading it later.
  16. What questions I'd like to be asked... Which bits of the MOC are you most proud of? What special techniques did you use to create that bit?
  17. I'm a bad one to comment on this as I've just returned from the local Lego Store - I only went in for a couple of baseplates and to refill the PAB cups - and somehow managed to come away with the VW Camper The way I handle it is to set a monthly budget and generally I'll keep with it (apart from this month).
  18. I'm ambivalent about them.
  19. Cool Mods! With that additional level and your builds you've managed to get so much more than normal. I like it!
  20. Great review! Thanks for that. I'll be heading to the local Lego Store to pick one of these beauties up for sure.
  21. Great interior detailing! As others have noted the lights and the chains are really good - though my favorite detail is the layer of single trans-blue plates you've got in the bar. I'm not sure of the musical properties of using a shovel as a guitar head though
  22. I was born and raised in the North of England (Go Carlisle United!) and although we had nothing architecturally equivalent to the faux-oriental Palace there's plenty of old Playhouses and Cinemas that have been morphed into Carpet warehouses. The only thing I missed was the endless, heavily discounted sales (as Jonwil pointed out earlier).
  23. That's an impressive array of service vehicles jfbat! I particularly like the Ladder and the All-round Truck.
